Climbing Roses

Climbing Roses

I used the Climbing Rose stamp set and the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies for my card creation today.  I also used butterflies from the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper (DSP) {Free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration}.

I need to say that I was in such a hurry with my last post I forgot to give Sue Prather credit for CAS(E)ing her.  I had told her I was going to CAS(E) her card but forgot to mention it in my post. Click on Sue’s name above and you can go to her blog to see the beautiful card she made.

My inspiration for this card comes from the Global  Design Project challenge for this week.

The card base is Granny Apple Green with a Basic Black mat for the Coastal Cabana panel that has been embossed using the Subtle’s Embossing Folder. The trellis is cut from Whisper White card stock using one of the Thinlits Dies from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Die set.  The roses are stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.

They are then colored using a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil and a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker.  Once the coloring is finished the roses are popped on the right corner of the Coastal Cabana mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Happy Day is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Melon Mambo and popped over the trellis with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The butterflies on the trellis are from the Botanical Butterfly DSP (free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase.)  They are colored using Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers.

Three pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewel assortment are popped on the upper right corner of the card front.

The inside sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped in Melon Mambo on a panel of Whisper White matted on a panel of Basic Black. These panels are adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.  A butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly DSP is colored with Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers and adhered with Liquid Glue to the sentiment panel.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card and that you can find a bit of encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.
