Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Hello There

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Hello There

Good Thursday morning stampers and non-stampers.  If you aren’t a stamper and happen upon my blog, I hope you enjoy and find the inspiration to create your own card.  Card-making is a calming and inspiring time.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Stamp Set and the Sale-A-Bration Summer Shadow Dies (available August 3). I like the dies so much, hopefully, they will carry over to the next catalog, but probably not.

My design inspiration for today is from the TGIF challenge.  The color scheme is a CASE of Amy Koenders’ card.  You can see her card here.

I started with a Highland Heather card base, adding a panel of Hand Penned DSP over the card base.  Another panel of the DSP is cut in a triangle, a mat of Basic White is adhered to the panel then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue over the lower portion of the card front.

Using a flower die from the Summer Shadows Dies three flowers are cropped from Highland Heather card stock.  Using the outline die for the flowers crop three of the outlines.  Crop the main part of the leaves from Mint Macaron card stock.  The out portion of the leaves is cropped using So Succulent card stock.  The flowers parts and the leaf parts are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

After the flowers and leaves are adhered together, they are dry fit on the card front to see how to arrange them.  Once that is done,  a picture is taken so I can remember the arrangement.  The leaves are adhered using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue as are two of the flowers.  The flower in the middle is popped up using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Pastel Pearls are popped in the center of each flower. A label is cropped from a scrap of Basic White card stock using an Ornate Frame Dies.  A greeting from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The label is popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets one of the flower outlines adhered to the corner of the panel.  The panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the same DSP used on the card front applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Birthday Card

Good Tuesday morning everyone stampers friends and non-stampers that want to learn the art of card making.  You will find much joy in your creations.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Stamp Set along with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and the Painted Labels Dies.  The idea for my color scheme is compliments of Donna Leonard, you can see her card here.

My inspiration for today’s card comes from the As You See It Challenge.

I started with a Pale Papaya card stock card base, adding a panel of Expressions in Ink DSP matted on a panel of Polished Pink card stock.  This panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder is matted on a panel of the Polished Pink card stock and adhered over the Expressions in Ink DSP. A panel of the Polished Pink card stock is cropped using a die from the Ornate Layers Dies.  It is then adhered across the Pear Pizzazz panel.  A square of Pale Papya card stock is cropped using a die from the Painted Label Dies.  The happy birthday stamp from Peaceful Moments Stamp Set is used to stamp the greeting in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.

A strip of the DSP that matches the card front is adhered to a Basic White panel then adhered to the card base.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the same DSP used on the card front applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsetta Petals Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Poinsetta Petals Merry Christmas

This is my first Christmas card of the season.  Maybe if I make one a day, I won’t have to rush when October rolls around.

The card I am creating today uses the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set and the Poinsettia Dies. A very simple card to create, but sometimes the most simple take the most time for me.

Inspiration for this challenge comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Cherry Cobbler card stock is the card base as well as the mat for the DSP.  I cut all the paper and card stock then started adhering together. A gold panel from the Gold & Rose Gold 6″ x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper is applied over the Cherry Cobbler card stock base.  The greeting label is cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The greeting is one of the many Merry Christmas stamps I have saved over the years, so you can use any Merry Christmas stamp of your choice if you so desire to create this card and I’m hoping you will.

A panel of Tidings of Christmas DSP is matted on Cherry Cobbler card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhered over the gold panel.

The small poinsettia die from the Poinsettia Dies is used to crop the three poinsettias, another die is used to crop the berries also. Two are cropped from Cherry Cobbler card stock, one from Very Vanilla card stock.  The Very Vanilla one is brushed with Cherry Cobbler ink using a Blending Brush. They are arranged on the DSP panel using Mini Glue Dots and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Elegant Faceted Gems are popped in the middle of each poinsettia.  Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are also popped around the card front.

The retired sentiment is stamped in Soft Succulent on a panel of Very Vanilla that has been cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  A strip of the DSP used on the card front is adhered to the bottom of the panel.

A medium Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of the same DSP used on the card front applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Thinking of You

Good Morning all, this was supposed to be yesterday’s card but I kept having computer issues since Tuesday evening and was ready to give up on getting to post.  Whatever it was cleared itself up.

The card I am sharing today is a combination of several stamp sets.  Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Stamp Set for the main flowers, Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set for the flowers on the background along with the Very Versailles Stamp Set. Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set and Pansy Patch Stamp Set are the greeting and sentiment.

Inspiration for this challenge comes from the Hand Stamp Sentiment Challenge.  I chose the pink colors for my inspiration.

To start, I colored a panel of Basic White card stock using Polished Pink ink and a Blending Brush.  After coloring  I  cut the panel in half, embossing the panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  Next using Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron inks the Very Versailles Stamp Set and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set were stamped on half of a panel of Basic White card stock.  The embossed Polished Pink panel is adhered to the other half of the panel.  Amazing how light the Polished Pink can be when applied lightly to Basic White ard stock.

The peonies were stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink stamped off once so it would be lighter and not show up too strong.  I wish I had taken a picture of the main peony so the color of it would have shown how it changed in color also.  After I finished coloring the one at the bottom of the card front, I thought O’, I am going to have to stamp another peony and color it because this one is too orangey and yellow.  Look at the first frame at the top.  See how orangey looks.  The next one is after it had dried for a few hours, I had heard in a video can’t remember who did the video that colors changed once dried,  believe me, it has.  You can see the difference in each frame of the pictures.  I used Polished Pink  and Granny Apple Green ink to color the peonies and leaves.

After the coloring and drying the peonies are arranged over the embossed panel matted on a panel of Melon Mambo card stock.  2021-2023 In Color Jewels are randomly placed around the card front.

The Basic White card stock sentiment panel is matted on a panel of Melon Mambo as the one on the card front.  A sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts and Pansy Petals Stamp Sets is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The peony is colored using the Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green ink.  Notice the pink color of this one.  Seems that no two can be the same color.  The center of the peony is So Saffron ink.

A Basic White medium envelope is embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder as is the Melon Mambo panel that is the mat for the art piece.  Using a Blending Brush, Polished Pink ink is brushed over the embossed flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.
