Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Thinking of You Card

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Thinking of You Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set.  I also used the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, New horizon DSP, Detailed Dahlias Dies, and Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

My color inspiration for my card today comes from the Sunday Stamps Challenge.  It is a color challenge, use three of the colors in your card.

The tulips in the Hand Stamped Sentiments Stamping Challenge inspired me to create tulips for my card.

I am also entering the Just Us Girls Challenge — it is Photo Week and the photo of tulips, daffodils, and birds add to my inspiration for creating a card with tulips.

My card base is Basic White card stock. I cropped a panel of Basic White using a die from the Detailed Dahlias Dies and adhered to the card base. A Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped in the center of one flower on the Detailed Dahlias.

A panel of Basic White card stock is embossed using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.  It is then matted on a panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock and adhered over the Detailed Dahlia cropped image.

Using tulip dies from the Tulip Dies, tulips are cropped from panels of New Horizon DSP.  Using one of the New Horizon panels gives a great variety of colors for the tulips.  Leaves and stems are cropped from Basic White card stock and the leaves are embossed using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. The tulips and leaves are then adhered to the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Glue Dots.  Wink of Stella is flicked over the card front.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulip is masked using a piece of Washi Tape to cover the word I do not want in the greeting.  It is then stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock is matted on a panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock and adhered to the inside of the card base.  Flowers from the Tulip Dies are cropped and adhered across the bottom of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the New Horizion DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Have A Beautiful Day Card

Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Have A Beautiful Day Card

The card I am sharing today is created using two stamp sets that will soon retire, they are the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set and the Very Versailles stamp set.  The Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder does not show up well on the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP.

One of my challenges is the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge — Add A Flower

And…

https://creativecrafterschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/03/challenge-50.html – Anything Goes

My card base is Gray Granite card stock.  A panel of Basic Black card stock is used as the mat for the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP.  On the panel of DSP I stamped the vine image from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set in Old Olive ink.

I stamped the cherry blossoms from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set on a piece of Blushing Bride card stock using Memento Black ink. Using a Roccoco Rose Stampin’ Blends Marker, I colored the blossoms, next I used a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker to color the leaves and stem.  After coloring, I cropped using a die from the Cherry Blossom Dies, using the die did not crop the image as close as I would have liked so I fussy cut around it.  It is adhered to another panel of the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped over the card front.

A black knot bow is tied and popped on the blossom stem.  A Brushed Brass Butterfly is popped on the blossom petal, several Gray Granite Dots are popped around the card front.  A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink and cropped using a die from the Ornate Label Dies.

A panel of the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP is stamped in Old Olive ink with the vine image from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set.  Sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Love & Happiness stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sea Life It’s A Good Day Card

Stampin’ Up! Sea Life It’s A Good Day Card

The card I am sharing today, happened by accident.  I had cropped a seahorse image from the Stampin’ Up! Sea Life Dies and put the negative portion on my desk on top of a Coastal Cabana card base, I had planned on using the card base for another card.  When I saw how it looked, I thought why not… so here it is as a card.  I added a Basic White mat, making the negative image show up even better.

My challenge for the day is the Daisy Chain Challenge.  Daisies have always been my favorite, not roses as most people choose, so I just had to join this challenge.

The card base is Coastal Cabana with a panel of the same  for the background panel and embossed using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I had cut the seahorse from the Black Glitter paper planning to use on another card, but it turned out not the ideal creature for the card, it being black.  I matted it on a piece of Basic White card stock as I mentioned earlier to give a tiny border around the black.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front using a Mini Dimensional and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I decided to use the seahorse on the inside panel. The remainder of the card is blank for a message, be it birthday, hello, anniversary, or a dozen other celebrations.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the 6″ x 6″ DSP Bright Assortment applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Seascapes Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Seascapes Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using dies from the Sea Life Dies, along with dies for the greeting from the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment stamp set and the sentiment from Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon and Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp sets.

One of my challenges is the AAA Birthday Birthday Card Challenge — Under the Sea

Another challenge is the NBUS (Never-been-Used-Schtuff)

My fun fold card uses Pacific Point card stock for the base. Basic White card stock is used as the mat for the pieces from the Whale of A Time DSP, retired.  Below are the card cuts instead of being at the end of the post.

Card Cuts

  • Pacific Point card stock
    • card base – 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” score at 2-1/8” on both ends of the card stock panel, fold on score line the opposite way you scored. This will give you your fun fold.
  • Basic White card stock
    • Cut (4) panels 2” x 5-3/8” mats for the Whale of A Time DSP
    • Cut (2) panels 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”one for inside mat and one for the back of card panel
  • Whale of A Time DSP
    • Cut (4) panel 1-7/8” x 5-1/4” these are adhered to the Basic White card stock mats using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    • Cut (1) panel 4” x 5-1/4” for the inside middle panel.
  • Granny Apple Green card stock
    • Cut (1) 1″ x 11″ for belly band  — when you wrap around the card make sure it is loose enough to slide easily over the card.  You are not wanting a snug, tight fit.

I used glitter paper to crop the fish and coral.  I colored the coral using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Ruined the marker so be careful coloring glitter paper.  The glitter paper makes the fish appear as it has real scales when matted on the piece of Whale Of A Time DSP.  Another of the coral is cropped using Granny Apple Green card stock and Calypso Coral card stock.  The Calypso Coral one, I highlighted the edges using a sponge and Crumb Cake ink.  All this is then adhered to the belly band using Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp . I did not put the greeting on the card front as it is usually done, it took away from the look of the belly band I thought.  After I stamped the greeting in two sections so I could adhere the way you see it above, I cropped it using the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine twice in order to achieve the small  pieces of the greeting embossed on both ends.  The greetings on the other panels are from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Cupcake stamp set and the On the Horizon stamp set.   They are stamped in White Craft ink, I think that is what Stampin’ Up! calls it.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Whale of A Time DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Products Use in Creating This Card

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

The card I am sharing today is created using a combination of several stamp sets, some new and some retired. From the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set, probably a set that will soon retire, I used a greeting. The new one is Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set.  I used a sentiment from this set.  From the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope stamp set, I used the cross die. From Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope, and Peaceful Nativity I used sentiments.

One of my challenges for the day is The Creative Crafters Challenge — Anything Goes

Another challenge is the Addicted to Stamps and More — Die Cuts and Stencils.

And… the As You See It Challenge — Spring Flowers

I consider the card base as Basic White card stock with a Highland Heather background piece for the back of the card base.   Score the Basic White panel at 5″ as the base is cut 4″ x 10″, I’ve drawn a diagram of the card cuts at the bottom of the post, so you can see how many of each to cut before you start the card.  You can use any Designer Series Paper you choose and for any occasion.  I need Easter cards, so my 20+ are all Easter.  This card is so easy.  I watched a video that Patty Bennett made.  She stated in her video how easy it is.   You will have to scroll down her page to find her video. I was looking for an easy card and I was making so many.  This would be a good card to make for quick birthday cards.

This is how the card looks when you take the belly band off.  The two triangles of Hand Penned DSP are actually squares that have been scored diagonally and the other half of the triangle adhered to the back of the Basic White card base to create what you are seeing.

This is how the card looks when you open the two triangles.  A panel of Hand Penned DPS is adhered to the card base front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is stamped on a small piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  It is adhered so it will be hidden when the two triangles are closed.  The belly band is created using the pieces I show in the diagram at the end of the post.

This is how the card looks when it is open all the way.  For the top sentiment, I used a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope stamp set, stamping it in Garden Green ink and cropping using a circle die.  I sponged the edges of the circle using a sponge and Highland Heather ink.  The cross is from the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope stamp set, as I put my dies in with my stamp sets and this is retired, I do not know the name of the die set.  I wrapped a short length of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon on the top of the cross, then adhered to the card base.  The sentiment at the top is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity stamp set retired. The one at the bottom is from the Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope stamp set.  They are stamped in Garden Green ink.

A Highland Heather card stock panel is adhered to the back of the Basic White card base.  I am sure this is applied to hide the triangles adhered to the back of the card base to form the triangle closure on the card front.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
