Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Sneak Peak

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Sneak Peak

Welcome! Can you believe this is the last day of the decade and a new decade — the 20s starts tomorrow?  Do you think this decade of the 20s will be as wild as the previous one or even wilder?

The card today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Stamp Set, the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper, the Stampin’ Up! Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder (all are available January 3) and the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Boughs Dies from the Holiday Catalog.

My design inspiration comes from the Just Add Ink Challenge.

You can see that my card matches the design so well.  The card base is Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock as is the middle portion of the layout that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Coastal Weave 3D Embossing  Folder.

The two outside panels are two different panels from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. The focal panels have been matted on a Stampin’ Up! Real Red and Daffodil Delight card stock mats.

The flowers were fussy cut from a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper and popped over the Stampin’ Up! Garden Green leaves that were cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bough Dies.  The greeting was stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight card stock and matted on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock.  Both have been fussy cut the shape of the stamp the greeting is on.  Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread is wrapped behind the greeting several times and adhered with a Stampin’ Up! Glue Dot.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The palm tree is from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and is also stamped in Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz ink.

In finishing my card, I gave the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis DSP.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peak Peaceful Poppies

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peak Peaceful Poppies

Just a few days and you will no longer be getting messages Sneak Peak (available January 3).  The time is soon here –4 days after today! Are you getting excited to finally being able to order from the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog?  There are many beautiful products.  I am previewing one of them today.  The Peaceful Poppy Suite.

The inspiration for this challenge comes from the Fab Friday Challenge

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock with a background panel of the same that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.  This panel is then adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

In creating the frame for the art piece 3 frames from  Whisper White card stock and one from the Peaceful Poppy DSP were cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies.  These were adhered together using Liquid Glue.  By using 4 frames to create this, it gives the frame dimension and looks better than just a flat frame adhered to the card front.

The art piece is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock that has been cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies. The poppies from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Stamp Set (available January 3) is then stamped on the panel using Tuxedo Memento Black ink and then colored using Stampin’ Up! Light Poppy Parade and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Moments Stamp Set (available January 3).  Three Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies Sequins are randomly placed on the card front.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The poppy is from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and is also stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using the same markers that were used in coloring the art piece.

A poppy from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Stamp Set was stamped in the lower corner of my envelope using Tuxedo Memento Black ink and two Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used Light Poppy Parade and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color.

In finishing my card, I gave the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies DSP.

Sneak Peak Tropical Oasis

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peak Tropical Oasis

I’ve been absent from my blog for a bit, but I am back and have a lot of catching up.  In 4 days 20’s start!  Are you like me and wondering what they will be called this go-round?  Do you think they (whoever they are)  will say here comes a repeat of the “Roarin’ ’20s?”

From the first time I saw this card pack and DSP, I wanted to make a card using the card from the card pack I am creating today. I am using Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack, Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Moments Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Stamp Set and Lovely Leaves Dies. I thought it was an awesome piece, but just never the right challenge to make the card.   It finally has happened there is a challenge I can use it for.  The challenge I am playing today is Freshly Made Sketches.  It fits this card perfectly.

This is a simply card with just cutting and a little stamping.  The card base is Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock.  Next is a background mat from one of the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.  Next comes a panel of Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Grapefruit Grove card stock as is the main focal panel using a card from the  Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack.  I trimmed the focal panel to fit the layout.  The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Moments Stamp Set and is stamped on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Grapefruit Grove card stock using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. Behind the greeting is 2 leaves cropped from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Leaves Dies and Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread.  The Old Olive and Cajun Craze thread are from the Holiday Catalog.

The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Grapefruit Grove ink on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel that has been placed at an angle over the Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock panel.  Both are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

In finishing my card project, the flap of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope was covered using a panel of DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.

A few flowers were fussy cut from the same panel that covered the envelope flap and adhered to the envelope front.

Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Welcome, here it is the eve of the weekend again and it seems it was just here.  Do you have your Christmas shopping finished?  Have all your cards finished and mailed? 🙂

The cards I am sharing today are created using parts of the November Paper Pumpkin.  I had not ordered the December Paper Pumpkin because it was to make tags for Christmas presents, but after I saw some of the cards made using the parts, here I was wishing I had ordered.  Well, things worked out where we were allowed to order the November Paper Pumpkin even if we had not previously ordered, I was delighted.

The challenge I am entering is Make My Monday Challenge – Anything Christmas

On this card, I used  Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock as the card base with a panel of Stampin’ Up! Wrapped In Plaid Specialty Designer Paper matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock as the background panel.

A sled from the November Paper Pumpkin is used as a background for the Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil Sheets deer.  A few pieces of greenery cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bough Dies is tucked under the sled edge. The cord, sequins, greeting and the snowflake are from the November Paper Pumpkin.

Using other elements from Paper Pumpkin — the deer, the snowy tree, the sequins, and the greeting, also the bow around the deer’s neck.  The greenery is from the Beautiful Bough Dies.

I have more cards to make, but this is three with the deer that are finished.  I think they turned out well.

These three are made using the snowflakes from the Paper Pumpkin, plus the Stampin’ Up! Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.

Two made using the red birds.  I believe there are 15 cards remaining to be made from this kit using all the elements that were for tag making.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop — “Celebrate”

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop — “Celebrate”

Welcome!  It’s that time — what time is that you ask!  Time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop.  On the second Tuesday of each month, you can always find a group of talented stampers that make up a part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew showcasing their talent by creating cards for our Blog Hop! Our theme for December is “Celebrate”.  We can interpret “Celebrate” however we chose, so I am creating a birthday card. Be sure you check out each person’s blog, you will find much talent and inspiration.  You may even find that you would like to CAS(E) one of the cards.  Well let’s begin, I know you are wanting to see all the awesome cards.

I made a similar card to this one on October 22.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set. I am making the card in blues as it is a birthday card.  While making this card, I realize this is a set that can be used for a variety of cards.  The card base is Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock.  A panel of Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets card stock is used as the mat for the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frost DSP background panel.

The frames for the cardinal is cropped from a Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets using one of the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Frames Dies.  I had used up my Silver Glimmer card stock so this made a good substitute. The cardinal is cropped from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink.  The branch the bird is on is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light and Dark Seaside Spray and Light Old Olive.  I know this color is not in the challenge but hoping it will be ok as I noticed some of the DT has other colors.

The Happy Birthday is from  Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a scrap from cropping the bird.  It makes a great label for the greeting would you not agree?

The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Everything Is RosyStamp Set is stamped in ‘Stampin’ Up! Night Of Navy ink.  An image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set is stamped in the lower corner of the sentiment panel.

My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope flap got an image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Stamp Set stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light Balmy Blue and Light Old Olive.  A tree image was stamped in the right lower corner of the envelope front

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my card.  You can now click on the Next button and it will take you to Amy Koenders’s blog or the Previous button and it will take you to Akiko Sudano’s blog or you can click on each name listed below and you will be taken to that person’s blog.  Enjoy the beautiful cards of these talented ladies.  Have a blessed day.
