Stampin’ Up Floral Essence

Stampin’ Up Floral Essence

Here’s hoping everyone is having a great Sunday and those of you in the Stampin’ Up! World  Wide family going on the cruise in Greece, I know you are excited and already packing your bags to leave.  Post lot of pictures for those of us who did not qualify this year, so we too can enjoy the scenery.  Enjoy each moment and let the memories of Old World history linger in your mind for a while.

The card I am sharing today is from Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Stamp Set.

I am playing in the challenge  As You See It.  The challenge is to use your favorite color.  The color I am using is the color of most of my clothes.  My husband has a lot of shirts this color also and people are always saying “You are dressed  in the same color and it will be the first time we notice we have on the same color.”  That color is Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana, my clothes are teal.

And….

Cardz 4 Galz Challenge #99 Your Favourite Colour Combo.  What a blessing to find two challenges both being your favorite colors.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.

The Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana  6″ x 6″ Brights DSP panel and the Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana card stock panel that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Corrugated  3D Embossing Folder is used for the background panel.  They are taped together on the back side to enable the popping on the card front going smoother.

A strip of Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay card stock has been cut using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Lace Die.  This strip is adhered to the background panel using Glue Dots.   I didn’t have a piece of Stampin’ Up! lace so I rummaged through my quilting scraps where I had made Crazy Quilt items and found a piece of lace, sometimes that is necessary when you do not have it, sewing scraps are always available at my house.

The flowers are from Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Stamp Set and are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana ink on Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White card stock.  They were punched out using the coordinating punch and popped over the lace piece after all the greenery had been attached to the back of the flowers.  The Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green and Whisper White flowers and leaves are from Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Dies.  The greeting from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set is stamped in Granny Apple Green on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and flagged on one end.  it is popped on using Glue Dots.

The inside sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green ink.  It is matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green card stock.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front.   I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the same Stampin’ Up! 6″ x 6″ Brights  DSP  that is on the card front.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.

Stampin’ Up! It Starts With Art!

Stampin’ Up! It Starts With Art!

The card I am sharing today comes from the Stampin’ Up! It Starts With Art Stamp Bundle and the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.

My design for this challenge comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week’s is a sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana card stock is used for the base.  It is cut 4-1/4″ 11″ and scored and folded at the 5-1/2″ score line.  The sentiment on the card from is one I typed on the computer and cut out using Stampin’ Up! Stitched Nested Label Dies.  I have no idea who to give credit for the saying so if you know please let me know so I can give them credit.

The first art panel is matted using Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock and is cut 3-1/8″ x 5-1/4″.  It has the spattered art panel from Stampin’ Up! so if Follow Your Art  Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This is cut 3″x 5-1/8″ and adhered with Liquid Glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Terracotta Tile card stock used for the next mat is cut 2-5/8″ x 4-3/8″.  The art panel for it is cut 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ from the same DSP.

I fussy cut two spools of thread from the DSP wrapped Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Baker’s Twine around one leaving a long tail curled around the side of the sentiment.  The other I made a tiny bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  I also wrapped several lengths of the twine at an angle around this piece and tied in a bow.

The inside sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana ink.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front.  I used fussy cut DSP from the Follow Your Art DSP to decorate the envelope front. I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the same Stampin’ Up! Follow Your DSP.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away  Suite and Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set.  I have been requested to create a card for a couple that will soon be married and the bride wants a card with a sailboat as her soon to be husband has one and loves sailing.

My card base is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock embossed using my favorite embossing folder,  Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder.

I am choosing to enter more than one challenge for the day and sure hope that my card fits them all well. In alphabetic order, they are:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Polka Dots and/or Stripe.  I didn’t have polka dot paper so  I created my own by making the sails of the sailboat polka dot.

Next is the Dragonfly Dreams Challenge for man or boy.  I think this one should qualify as it is for groom.

Next is the  Pinspirational Challenge   I believe the icon they provide for this challenge says it all  L-O-V-E  since my card is for a groom I believe that is love.

And… Watercooler Wednesday  Dawn’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge.  So my card for a bridegroom works for this one also.

The sailboat is one of the laser cuts from the  Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.  I added the polka dots in the sail and on the boat as I had no polka dot paper.

The greeting on the front is from the  Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack also.

The anchor trinket in the lower right corner is from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Trinkets and is tied with a short length of Stampin’ Up! Braided Linen Trim.  The anchor is popped on the card front using a Glue Dot.

A strip of navy and white stripes from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP is cut and adhered at the bottom of the card front just below the sailboat.  This is in keeping with the  Crafty Gals Challenge to use stripes.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack and is adhered to a panel  of  Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of sailboat on the card front.  I used two stickers from the Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack to decorate the envelope front. I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.

Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow

Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow

Good morning and happy Saturday!  I hope you’ve got a great weekend planned!  I know we do at our house.  This is where we will be spending it.  Lovely setting don’t you agree.  A beautiful little church they found that provides just the setting they were looking to have. We have been blessed for the past 16 years to live with 4 of our grandchildren and watch them grow into young adults.  Today the last one will fly the nest and our big 6 bedroom house will surely be empty.  We’ve had three weddings in the past 6 months.   I told our son, better 3 boys than 3 girls getting married.  It is costly enough with it being guys, think what it would be with 3 brides in 6 months.  What a lovely time it will be today as we watch these two (this was a practice run (rehearsal last night). Don’t you think they will make a beautiful bride and handsome groom?   So you can see it has been a busy time at our house for the past week.    Well enough of how I’m spending my Saturday, it’s time for the card.

Oh! One more thing before I start —  HAPPY BIRTHDAY  to Mary Deatherage, she is our fearless leader of Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew and she is an awesome leader!

My card that I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set.  This is a lovely stamp set I think because I love flowers.

My challenges for the day are Tuesday Morning Sketches.

And…    My Time To Craft

And…. Addicted To Stamps and More Anything Goes.

The card base is  Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock mat that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder. A 1″ x 4-1/8″ strip from the Stampin’ Up! Woven Threads DSP is cut and adhered to the Merry Merlot mat using Liquid Glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock is used for the art panel.  It is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set.  The flowers are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor pencils and an Aqua Painter.  The art panel is trimmed using Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Memory Dies and is matted on a Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose card stock panel.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and is matted on a panel of Merry Merlot card stock.  The flowers are stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink and they are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the flowers on the card front.  I   gave the envelope flap a spray of flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Thank You!

Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Thank You!

I used the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper to create my card for the Global Design Project Challenge and the Inspire, Create Challenge for today.

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose card stock card base then a panel of Stampin’ Up’ Merry Merlot card stock is added as a mat for the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals DSP embossed focal panel that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.

Can you see how subtle the embossing is?  See the texture it gives the card stock.

A 2-1/4″ x 4″ panel of Merry Merlot card stock is cut and embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder also.  I use this embossing folder so much and hope that Stampin’ Up! keeps it around for a long long time.  Like its name, it is so good to give that subtle texture to a piece of card stock and make it look so much better.

The flowers on the Merry Merlot panel are from a piece of the Pressed Petals DSP.  I fussy cut them as I did the one on the inside sentiment panel.  The thank you is from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Stamp Set.  It was part of a long greeting and I did not want all of it so I masked the portion I did not want to use.  Several Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are added to the card front.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and is matted on a panel of Merry Merlot card stock.  As I said earlier the flowers were fussy cut from a panel of the Pressed Petals DSP and adhered with Liquid Glue.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the flowers on the card front.  I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals DSP.  It is the same panel I cut the flowers for the card front.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.
