Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow

Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow

Good morning and happy Saturday!  I hope you’ve got a great weekend planned!  I know we do at our house.  This is where we will be spending it.  Lovely setting don’t you agree.  A beautiful little church they found that provides just the setting they were looking to have. We have been blessed for the past 16 years to live with 4 of our grandchildren and watch them grow into young adults.  Today the last one will fly the nest and our big 6 bedroom house will surely be empty.  We’ve had three weddings in the past 6 months.   I told our son, better 3 boys than 3 girls getting married.  It is costly enough with it being guys, think what it would be with 3 brides in 6 months.  What a lovely time it will be today as we watch these two (this was a practice run (rehearsal last night). Don’t you think they will make a beautiful bride and handsome groom?   So you can see it has been a busy time at our house for the past week.    Well enough of how I’m spending my Saturday, it’s time for the card.

Oh! One more thing before I start —  HAPPY BIRTHDAY  to Mary Deatherage, she is our fearless leader of Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew and she is an awesome leader!

My card that I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set.  This is a lovely stamp set I think because I love flowers.

My challenges for the day are Tuesday Morning Sketches.

And…    My Time To Craft

And…. Addicted To Stamps and More Anything Goes.

The card base is  Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock mat that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder. A 1″ x 4-1/8″ strip from the Stampin’ Up! Woven Threads DSP is cut and adhered to the Merry Merlot mat using Liquid Glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock is used for the art panel.  It is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set.  The flowers are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor pencils and an Aqua Painter.  The art panel is trimmed using Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Memory Dies and is matted on a Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose card stock panel.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and is matted on a panel of Merry Merlot card stock.  The flowers are stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink and they are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the flowers on the card front.  I   gave the envelope flap a spray of flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

  1. Beautiful card. It could be a wedding card too from the front! Hoping the wedding was as beautiful as the lovely couple. It’ll be too quiet at your house now!

  2. Hey Shirley – thanks so much for the birthday wishes!! And the kind words!

The wedding venue looks perfectly beautiful for a perfectly beautiful couple! Hope you’ll post some pics of the wedding day!

And your card is lovely, too – the coloring and design are wonderful. Love that you decorated the inside and the envelope, too. #nonekkidenvelopes! 🙂
