Amy’s Inkin’ Krew May Blog Hop

Welcome to the May blog hop of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  We are so glad you are here because you are going to see some great project that have been created.   I hope you enjoy all the ideas and our blog hop.  Our theme for this month is “Masculine” and we are free to interpret that any way that we like.  You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Krew member’s blog.  You will find the full line-up below to help you hop along from Krew member to Krew member.   On we go…

My card is created from the Let it Ride stamp set.  I am so happy this stamp set is carrying over.

My sketch design is from Fusion Card Challenge.

As you can see from the sketch this is an easy card to create.  The card base is Cajun Craze card stock with a mat from the Wood Texture   6″ x 6″ DSP (retiring June 3)  here’s hoping that it will return in a later catalog because of so many people like using it. A panel of Crumb Cake is embossed using the Pinewood Plank Embossing. Folder and I am so happy it will be returning in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  It is adhered using Liquid Glue. A 1-1/2″ strip from the Wood Texture DSP is cut and the art image is stamped on it.  The image is from the Let It Ride stamp set.  The horses are stamped in Early Espresso ink and the trees in Mossy Meadow ink.  This strip is then matted on a dark panel from the Wood Texture DSP and Old Olive Linen Thread is wrapped around the panel.  This is popped onto the Pinewood Plank panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting from Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla circle that has been cut using the Layering Stitched Circle Dies. The Very Vanilla Circle has been matted on a small scrap of Wood Texture DSP that the larger circle is cut.

The inside sentiment from the Humming Along stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla panel of card stock.  The trees in the corner are from the Let It Ride stamp set and are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink that has been stamped off once.  The panel is adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card and find encouragement from it.  Click on the Next icon below and it will take you to Sue Prather’s blog or if you would like to go back you can click on the Previous icon it will take you back to Akiko Sudano’s blog… as each Krew Member is listed individually below you can click on any one of them and go to that Krew member’s blog.  I know you will find much inspiration for your own creations from all these talented ladies.  Happy Stampin’ after seeing them all!

Good Morning Magnolia

Good Morning Magnolia

This is the magnolias from a sheet of the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack. This is a sheet of vellum with magnolias on it.  I fussy cut them all to make the oval, I guess you would call it, although the label with the Thinking of You stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink is from the new Stitched Nested Label Dies (available June 4) and they are not oval.

My sketch inspiration and color come from the Double D Black and White Challenge

I enjoy doing black and white cards.  They are so cool and serene looking.

The card is very easy.  Make a Basic Black card base, then cut a panel of Whisper White card stock and using the Stitched Nested Label Die cut the center of the card out.  Adhere the Whisper White panel to the Basic Black base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the greeting on the Stitched Nested Label using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink then place it back into the spot on the card from where it was cut.  Arrange the magnolias around the label.  Add 5 Basic Rhinestone Jewels on the card front and your card front is finished.

The inside sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Itty Bitty Birthday and Piece of Cake.  I masked part of the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia as I only wanted the first two line.  A magnolia is stamped in the corner of the sentiment panel so it will not look so plain and empty.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you like my card and find encouragement, inspiration or both for your own creations.  Have a blessed day.

It’s Your Day

It’s Your Day

I love this DSP and d that it is on the Retiring List.  It is the beautiful Petal Promenade DSP.  I can’t seem to stop making cards using it.

I have flowers so that makes it possible for me to play along with the challenge at Cute Card Thursday.

And… the Seize the Birthday.

The card base is Blackberry Bliss card stock.  The mat and focal panel is half Whisper White card stock that has been embossed using the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder and the other half is from the Petal Promenade DSP.  The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set.

Two of the flowers are stamped on Whisper White Thick card stock using Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo ink. First I stamped Flirty Flamingo and then stamped Melon Mambo over it to get the color you see.  The other flower is stamped on a piece of photo paper.  There was a package of photo paper in my recent purchase of an ink cartridge for my printer and I wondered what to do with it.  When stamping these flowers, I thought wonder how it would look on the shiny photo paper.  It turned out great, so here is the flower stamped in Fresh Fig ink.

The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White Thick card stock.  The flowers and leaves were cut using the coordinating dies for the stamp set.  After stamping and cutting out I popped them on the divider of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls is scattered over the card front.

The sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock using a stamp from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set.

Petal Promenade is added to an envelope flap to match the DSP on the card front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you find encouragement and inspiration.  Have a blessed day.

Climbing Roses

Climbing Roses

I used the Climbing Rose stamp set and the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies for my card creation today.  I also used butterflies from the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper (DSP) {Free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration}.

I need to say that I was in such a hurry with my last post I forgot to give Sue Prather credit for CAS(E)ing her.  I had told her I was going to CAS(E) her card but forgot to mention it in my post. Click on Sue’s name above and you can go to her blog to see the beautiful card she made.

My inspiration for this card comes from the Global  Design Project challenge for this week.

The card base is Granny Apple Green with a Basic Black mat for the Coastal Cabana panel that has been embossed using the Subtle’s Embossing Folder. The trellis is cut from Whisper White card stock using one of the Thinlits Dies from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Die set.  The roses are stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.

They are then colored using a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil and a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker.  Once the coloring is finished the roses are popped on the right corner of the Coastal Cabana mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Happy Day is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Melon Mambo and popped over the trellis with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The butterflies on the trellis are from the Botanical Butterfly DSP (free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase.)  They are colored using Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers.

Three pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewel assortment are popped on the upper right corner of the card front.

The inside sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped in Melon Mambo on a panel of Whisper White matted on a panel of Basic Black. These panels are adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.  A butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly DSP is colored with Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers and adhered with Liquid Glue to the sentiment panel.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card and that you can find a bit of encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.
