Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora

Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora

I’m using an oldie but good one from the Annual Catalog.  This stamp set makes beautiful flowers. As you can see from the photo above it is Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora stamp set, along with Stripes & Splatters 3 D Embossing Folder, and Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.

This is a fun fold gift card holder. To me it is an unusual gift card holder, but one I wanted to give a try at least once.   My base is Boho Blue card stock.  A piece of Basic White card stock is embossed using the Stripe Embossing Folder from Stripes & Splatters 3 D Embossing Folders.  Flowers and leaves are stamped i Balmy Blue, Boho Blue and Night of Navy  using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora stamp set.  The flowers and leaves are arranged over the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper and the embossed piece of Basic White cardstock.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms stamp set is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  It is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Misty Moonlight gems from Tinsel Gems Three Pack are popped around the card front.

Cut a piece of designer series paper 5″ x 11″.  I used a piece of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper, but you can choose to make your card with whatever color of cardstock and designer series paper you choose.  Score this piece of designer series paper at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.   Fold the first fold as a valley, the next as a mountain fold and the third as a valley fold.  You can see the photo above.   To create a gift card holder, on the right corner of the designer series paper  come out 2″ and cut from the 2″ mark to the score line above.  See photo above.  This gives you space for the gift card.  When you adhere the piece to the card base make sure you do not glue the opening when you glue that side of the card.

I adhered the left side piece first, folded the designer series paper, put adhesives around three sides of the piece cut for the gift card holder, then closed the card back over the designer series paper..

The three sentiments are from different stamp sets, the first is from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises, stamp set, the second in the circle is from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set and the last one on the panel of the gift card holder is from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Stamps Flight & Airy

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Stamps Flight & Airy

This card makes you want the soft breeze of Spring with the birds singing and lovely flowers all around instead of the cold, icy weather we are having at this time.  It is truly a breath of Spring.  It is created using Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper , Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder, Scalloped Contours Dies, and Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.

I am joining Sunday Stamps Challenge for this card.

i started with a Basic White card stock base.  To the base I added a panel of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as the adhesive.  I cut two panels of Basic White card stock, one for the mat, the other embossed using Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder. These two pieces are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using a die from Scalloped Contours Dies, I die cut a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and popped on the right side of the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A circle is die cut from a piece of Vellum card stock using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  The circle is popped over the Flight & Airy piece die cut using Scalloped Contours Dies.  A bird and flowers are fussy cut(I love fussy cutting, but not this one it was a pain) from a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper.  Before fussy cutting, I adhered the piece to a piece of Basic White card stock to give it more stability, as Designer Series Paper can be rather flimsy when fussy cut.  This fussy cut piece was adhered over the Vellum cardstock circle using pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A tiny bow is made from Linen Thread and popped on the branch the bird is sitting on.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped in Boho Blue ink on a scrap of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, fussy cut, adhered to a scrap of Boho Blue card stock, then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a bottom border of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper.  Multipurpose Liquid Glue is used to adhere to the panel, then the panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around

Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around

This was a fun card to create.  It is also a fun fold Z fold.  The Just  Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper made for a fun creating.  I also used the Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set.

My card base is Pool Party card stock. As this is a Z-fold card, I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of card stock, scoring at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.  Fold the card as you would a regular card, then fold into a mountain fold. It will be mountain fold for the first fold and the regular fold is a valley fold.  I used Pretty Peacock card stock to create the mats for the Just  Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper.  You can find the card cuts at the end of this post.  In the package of  Just Kiddin’  Designer Series Paper there are 2 pieces of the Designer Series Paper that can be cut into sections to create a scene.  I used two of the sections to create my card.

A castle is die cut from another pattern of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, two others are cut from Smoky Slate card stock.  The three are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhered to the third panel where the sentiment is stamped on the Basic White panel in Pretty Peacock ink. A flag is die cut  three times using Kiddin’ Around Dies. They are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then colored using Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.

One of the kids from the Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and popped on the panel in front of the castle.  The boy’s hat,  some of the books, the flags at the top of each panel, the dragon’s tongue, the  blocks on the top shelf of the book case and the apple on the trees are brushed with Wink of Stella.

This is another view of the card.  I stamped the girl from Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set in Memento Black and colored using Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade, Tahitian Tide, Crumb Cake  Stampin’ Blends Markers and one of the Blends for flesh color.  I then die cut the girl and popped her on the stool that has been die cut from a piece of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (free during Sale-a-Bration with qualifying order).

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock in Pretty Peacock ink.  It is matted on a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock and adhered to the card front. Only half of the panel has Multipurpose Liquid Glue applied.  If it was applied to the entire piece, it would glue the panel to the card and it could not be opened.  Stars are die cut from pieces of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper and popped around the greeting panel.

This is the back of the card for space for writing a note or just signing your card.  Another scene is created on the left panel.  The boy and girl are fussy cut from a panel of Just Kiddin’  Designer Series Paper.

The belly band is a piece of Pool Party card stock with a piece of Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper over it.  A boy and girl are fussy cut from a panel of the Designer Series Paper and popped on the front of the belly band.  Iridescent Rhinestones are popped in the corners.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Congratulations

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Congratulations

I am sharing a beautiful card today created using more than one stamp set.  I used Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set for the main focus of the card.  Stampin’ Up! Scenic Wonders, So Sincere, and Something Fancy stamp sets are use for the greeting and sentiment.  Quiet Meadow will probably be retired when the new annual catalog comes out along with the other three sets.

I am entering the Sketch Saturday Challenge for this card. Their theme this challenge is to choose a design from past sketches so  I chose Sketch #649.  This is a sketch design that I am saving for future cards.   I looked through the designs three times, saving designs I liked to my challenge folder for future use.

The card base is Basic White card stock with a piece of the same embossed using the Splatters die from Stripes & Splatters 3 D Embossing Folders.  The piece behind the art piece is embossed with the same as is the corner of the art piece.  I believe the gold mats make the Basic White pieces popped out.

The three embossed pieces has Balmy Blue ink brushed on using a Blending Brush  The two smaller pieces of Basic White card stock are matted on pieces of Distressed Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The background piece is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The larger of the two small pieces is adhered over the background piece.  The art piece is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals as you can see from the photo above.  A butterfly from my stash of butterflies is popped on the card front also.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Something Fancy stamp set is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a piece of Basic White card stock, matted on a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty Design Series Paper.  Tinsel Gems are popped around ‘the card front.  One of the Gems is also popped on the butterfly’s head.

A panel of Basic White card stock is stamped in Smoky Slate ink with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! So Sincere stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Scenic Wonders stamp set.  Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set are stamped in Smoky Slate ink, then colored using Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set stamped on the envelope flap in Smoky Slate then colored using Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Stampin’ Up! Notes Of Nature Softly Stippled

Stampin’ Up! Notes Of Nature Softly Stippled

The card I am sharing today is created using Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder, Tinsel Gems, and Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.

The card base is Lost Lagoon card stock. A piece of the Lost Lagoon card stock is embossed using Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder,  it is adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A strip of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration)  Sale-a-Bration is January 4 through the end of February.

Flowers are fussy cut from a panel of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper. They are adhered to Pebble Path card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then fussy cut again before being arranged over the Softly Stipple strip using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Tinsel Gems are scattered around the card front.

A greeting is stamped in Pebble Path ink. The greeting is one of my stash that is in a stamp case with other stamps I can’t do without, so I can’t remember the stamp set it is from.  The greeting is trimmed then matted on a piece of Pebble Path card stock and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped in Pebble Path ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A flower and leaves from Softly Strippled Designer Series Paper are fussy cut and adhered in the lower corner.  Two Tinsel Gems are popped by the sentiment.

A Basic White medium envelope get a piece of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
