Stampin’ Up! Sunday Stamps Flight & Airy

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Stamps Flight & Airy

This card makes you want the soft breeze of Spring with the birds singing and lovely flowers all around instead of the cold, icy weather we are having at this time.  It is truly a breath of Spring.  It is created using Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper , Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder, Scalloped Contours Dies, and Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.

I am joining Sunday Stamps Challenge for this card.

i started with a Basic White card stock base.  To the base I added a panel of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as the adhesive.  I cut two panels of Basic White card stock, one for the mat, the other embossed using Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder. These two pieces are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using a die from Scalloped Contours Dies, I die cut a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and popped on the right side of the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A circle is die cut from a piece of Vellum card stock using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  The circle is popped over the Flight & Airy piece die cut using Scalloped Contours Dies.  A bird and flowers are fussy cut(I love fussy cutting, but not this one it was a pain) from a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper.  Before fussy cutting, I adhered the piece to a piece of Basic White card stock to give it more stability, as Designer Series Paper can be rather flimsy when fussy cut.  This fussy cut piece was adhered over the Vellum cardstock circle using pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A tiny bow is made from Linen Thread and popped on the branch the bird is sitting on.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped in Boho Blue ink on a scrap of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, fussy cut, adhered to a scrap of Boho Blue card stock, then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a bottom border of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper.  Multipurpose Liquid Glue is used to adhere to the panel, then the panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog  launches so you are able to show your customers what they can look forward to having when the new catalog comes out.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.
