Stampin’ Up! Seascapes Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Seascapes Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using dies from the Sea Life Dies, along with dies for the greeting from the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment stamp set and the sentiment from Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon and Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp sets.

One of my challenges is the AAA Birthday Birthday Card Challenge — Under the Sea

Another challenge is the NBUS (Never-been-Used-Schtuff)

My fun fold card uses Pacific Point card stock for the base. Basic White card stock is used as the mat for the pieces from the Whale of A Time DSP, retired.  Below are the card cuts instead of being at the end of the post.

Card Cuts

  • Pacific Point card stock
    • card base – 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” score at 2-1/8” on both ends of the card stock panel, fold on score line the opposite way you scored. This will give you your fun fold.
  • Basic White card stock
    • Cut (4) panels 2” x 5-3/8” mats for the Whale of A Time DSP
    • Cut (2) panels 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”one for inside mat and one for the back of card panel
  • Whale of A Time DSP
    • Cut (4) panel 1-7/8” x 5-1/4” these are adhered to the Basic White card stock mats using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    • Cut (1) panel 4” x 5-1/4” for the inside middle panel.
  • Granny Apple Green card stock
    • Cut (1) 1″ x 11″ for belly band  — when you wrap around the card make sure it is loose enough to slide easily over the card.  You are not wanting a snug, tight fit.

I used glitter paper to crop the fish and coral.  I colored the coral using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Ruined the marker so be careful coloring glitter paper.  The glitter paper makes the fish appear as it has real scales when matted on the piece of Whale Of A Time DSP.  Another of the coral is cropped using Granny Apple Green card stock and Calypso Coral card stock.  The Calypso Coral one, I highlighted the edges using a sponge and Crumb Cake ink.  All this is then adhered to the belly band using Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp . I did not put the greeting on the card front as it is usually done, it took away from the look of the belly band I thought.  After I stamped the greeting in two sections so I could adhere the way you see it above, I cropped it using the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine twice in order to achieve the small  pieces of the greeting embossed on both ends.  The greetings on the other panels are from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Cupcake stamp set and the On the Horizon stamp set.   They are stamped in White Craft ink, I think that is what Stampin’ Up! calls it.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Whale of A Time DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Thinking of You Card

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Thinking of You Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Stamp Set.  I know I could have used dies to cut the lighthouse and sailboats but I fussy cut them.  I also used Stampin’ Up! A Good Man and On The Horizon. I love, love this DSP.  It makes for such easy, simple cards.

I am entering this challenge again, as I have another fun fold card for today.

Also, the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge.  The color of the flowers on the mantle and the nautical picture on the wall or that is what it looks like to me, are my inspiration.

The card base is Basic White card stock cut at 5-1/2″ x 10″.  I do not know if there is a bridge fold that size but I want a larger one than the ones I have made before.  This one is the bridge fold without the bridge.  Score at 1/1/2″ and 3″ on both ends of the card stock. I find it easier to score that way.

Cut eight mats 1-3/8″ x 5-1/4″ from Blackberry Bliss card stock. Cut two pieces 3-3/4″ x 5-1/4″. This is the mat for the middle piece on front and back of the card.

Cut four pieces of the New Horizon DSP 1-1/4″ x 5-1/8″ from the design I have on the card front and four pieces from the panel of DSP I used on the back of the card.  Cut one piece 3-3/8″ x 5-1/8″ for the middle panel.  Stamp a greeting from the On The Horizon stamp set in Night of Navy ink.

Stamp birds in Night of Navy ink on all the panels, I used the stamps from Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home and Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp sets.  Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 3-3/8″ x 5-1/8″ for the sentiment panel on the card back.  Stamp a sentiment in Night of Navy ink using a stamp from On the Horizon stamp Set.  Adhere all the Blackberry Bliss panels and the DSP together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then adhere to the card base.

Stamp an image from Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set, stamp the lighthouse from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink, stamp one of the sailboats in Blackberry Bliss, the other in Night of Navy ink.  Using watercolor pencils and a Blender Pen color the man and sailboats.  Using a Blending Brush and Night of Navy ink color the lighthouse.  Fussy cut all images once colored and pop on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensonials and Mini Glue Dots.  To get the color I wanted for the man’s shirt, I used several different colors of watercolor pencils to achieve this color.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of New Horizon DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Memories & More Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Memories & More Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Memories & More Card Pack and the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Stamp Set.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge as this challenge is always a fun fold.

My flowers are springtime looking so I am entering The Four Seasons Challenge also.

The card base is Basic White card stock with panels of Blackberry Bliss for the mats.  This card is all one piece, you use a full sheet of card stock. Score on the long at short side both down the middle — long side 5-1/2″ — short side 4-1/4″. Cut on the 5-1/2″ scoreline cutting 1/2″ beyond the center scoreline.  Turn card stock around and cut 1/2″ off the other side.  See the picture above.

To the front flap after all the elements are added, add a Blackberry Bliss mat embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Timber 3-D Embossing Folder then a card of your choosing from the Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Memories & More Card Pack.  It will fit over the Blackberry Bliss mat perfectly. Stamp a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink on the woodgrain portion.  Emboss this piece using the Timber 3-D Embossing Folder. Color a length of white twine from the Basic Twine Essential Pack using a Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Marker. When dried, make a bow and pop on the card front.  Attach to the flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Flip the flap open, adding a Blackberry Bliss mat and a piece of the Heart & Home DSP.  On the bottom portion, add the Blackberry Bliss card stock embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Glue is used on the entire card except for the Mini Stampin’ Glue Dot used for the bow.  Choose another card from the Heart & Home Memories & More pack, mat on Basic White card stock adhering to the embossed panel.

Open the card up now and add more Blackberry Bliss card stock as the mat for each panel.  Add panel of Heart & Home DSP to the inside of the flap and the left side panel.  On the right-side panel adhered a panel of Basic White card stock that has a sticker from the Heart & Home Memories & More Card Pack.  You will have ample room for a note.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Heart & Home DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Thinking of You Card

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Thinking of You Card

The card shared today is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Dies, and the Tulip Dies.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! In the Moment Stamp Set.

My challenge for today is the challenge at the Paper Players — a challenge by Jaydee Spring is in the Air.

The card base is Highland Heather card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The daffodils and tulips are cropped from Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo card stock, and Simply Marbleous DSP.  The leaves are cropped from Beauty of the Earth DSP.  They are arranged on the In Good Taste DSP panel, then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensonals.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! In the Moment Stamp Set is stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock, matted on a piece of Highland Heather, and popped over the stems of the flowers.  A Brushed Brass Butterfly is popped on the corner of the greeting.  Other butterflies are placed around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock has a tulip stamped on the corner of the panel.  It is colored using Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of In Good Taste DSP applied to the envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  • In Good Taste DSP

After finishing the card, I thought it was not bright enough, so I took the Highland Heather tulips off and replaced them with Real Red.  It looked good but would have looked best if the card base had been red also,  so what did I do, I switched back to the Highland Heather ones. since the card base was Highland Heather.  Which do  you think looks best and not of this they both look good. Real opinions and thoughts.😊

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Thinking of You Card

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Thinking of You Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set, along with two different embossing folders, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I had to take a picture of the catalog for the stamp set.  I loaned my set before taking pictures.

Inspiration comes from the Paper Craft Crew Challenge.  Down the right side is my choice.

The color scheme of the Color Throwdown Challenge is my inspiration for my colors for this card.

Another color challenge with Double D and their Shades of Pink.

I started with a Polished Pink card base with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  The panel is adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Basic White card stock is embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Using a Blender Brush and Polished Pink ink a bit of color is added on the panel where the flowers will be adhered. You can see it faintly, guess I should have made it a bit darker for the camera. This panel will be adhered over the Flowering Fields DSP panel after the flowers and leaves are arranged and adhered to the panel.      The largest flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set is stamped in Smoky Slate ink.  It would have been better if I had stamped in Memento ink since the flowers were water-colored.

Some of the flowers are watercolored using Polished Pink ink for the majority of the flowers.  The flower centers are colored with a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Marker.  A Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Marker is used to color several of the smaller flowers. Using dies from the Flowers Of Home Dies greenery is cropped using Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Granny Apple Green card stock.

The flowers are popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, the greenery is adhered behind the flowers using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A single Brushed Brass Butterfly is popped on the large flower with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels being scattered around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets flowers added in the lower right corner.  The panel is framed in a panel of Flowering Fields DSP.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Flowering Fields DSP applied to the envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.
