Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad

Good Day everyone! I hope it is sunny and cool where you are today.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. The only stamping is the greeting on the card front.

My card challenge for the day is with Fusion Card Challenge. I am doing the sketch portion of the challenge.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock. This is a simple and easy card for the beginner or any crafter.

A feathery panel has been cut from the DSP for the background panel. It is adhered using Liquid Glue.

A panel from Stampin’ Up! Cajun Craze card stock is cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Lace Dies. This is adhered across the background panel using Liquid Glue. Have you ever tried to take a piece off of your card once glued down. I had to do that with the lacy piece. I used the heat embossing tool and heated the lacy piece and it was a breeze to get off. Did not even leave sticky glue where it had been adhered earlier.

An Oval was cut from Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Layering Oval Dies. Two birds were fussy cut from a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP and popped over the oval after the sentiment from a Stampin’ Up! July Paper Pumpkin was stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. Three feathers were fussy cut and popped on the oval at the bottom of the oval to give the feeling the birds had dropped their feathers. This oval was popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment panel is left blank so a note can be written. A spray of feathers are adhered down the left side of the panel.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card. I gave the envelope flap a panel of the feathery DSP from the Bird Ballad DSP.

Stampin’ Up! Dino Days & Dinoroar

Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, in spite of the warm, did I say warm temps. I put some Big Shot plate out in the sun to see if it would melt them and make them straighter. I am going to have to check to see the results. It was so hot the last few days I thought it might work. I will let you know if it works.

My card today is from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Dinoroar DSP.

My challenge for today is from Global Design Project

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock. A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock mat has been cut for the Stampin’ Up! Dinoroar Designer Series Paper focal panel. I think this panel is cute with the little dinosaur eggs. A length of Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread is wrapped around the focal panel and tied in a bow.

A 1-1/2″ x 3″ strip is cut for the greeting panel. On this panel a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lipstick ink. The panel is popped over the Linen Thread on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Four little dinosaurs have been fussy cut from a panel of the Dinoroar DSP and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several Stampin’ Up! Dinoroar Enamel Shapes are popped on the corner of the greeting panel.

The inside sentiment is one typed on the computer and printed. This card is for a little 3 year old red head that said GG made me a card. How could I resist? I fussy cut two dinosaurs from the DSP and adhered to the sentiment panel.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card. I gave the envelope flap a panel of DSP from the Dinoroar DSP.

Stampin’ Up! It Starts With Art!

The card I am sharing today comes from the Stampin’ Up! It Starts With Art Stamp Bundle and the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.

My design for this challenge comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments. This week’s is a sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana card stock is used for the base. It is cut 4-1/4″ 11″ and scored and folded at the 5-1/2″ score line. The sentiment on the card from is one I typed on the computer and cut out using Stampin’ Up! Stitched Nested Label Dies. I have no idea who to give credit for the saying so if you know please let me know so I can give them credit.

The first art panel is matted using Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock and is cut 3-1/8″ x 5-1/4″. It has the spattered art panel from Stampin’ Up! so if Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is cut 3″x 5-1/8″ and adhered with Liquid Glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Terracotta Tile card stock used for the next mat is cut 2-5/8″ x 4-3/8″. The art panel for it is cut 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ from the same DSP.

I fussy cut two spools of thread from the DSP wrapped Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Baker’s Twine around one leaving a long tail curled around the side of the sentiment. The other I made a tiny bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot. I also wrapped several lengths of the twine at an angle around this piece and tied in a bow.

The inside sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana ink.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front. I used fussy cut DSP from the Follow Your Art DSP to decorate the envelope front. I gave the envelope flap a panel from the same Stampin’ Up! Follow Your DSP.

Little Twinkle

!, My card today is created by using a soon to be a retired stamp set, Little Twinkle. It was an easy card to make and would be great for a beginning stamper.

My sketch is from the Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Night of Navy card stock is used for the card base. A panel of Whisper White card stock is used for the mat for the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP used for the focal panel. Three circles are cut using the Layering Circle Dies, one a bit larger than the next to make a border for the first circle that is cut from a panel of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP. The Petal Pink circle has the greeting stamped in Night of Navy ink. A length of Whisper White ribbon is wrapped around the Night of Navy star panel before the circles are popped over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several silver stars are scattered around the card front and they may not show up too well.

The inside sentiment is from the Ribbons of Courage stamp set (retiring June 3) and I wish it wasn’t.

My envelope flap got some of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP that was used for the focal panel.

Floral Essence

Last weekend April 26-28 my brother-in-law and sister-in-law took us on a little trip just so we could get away. We stayed at this great hotel that you could stand on your balcony and see the river below. If you fell off your balcony into the river you would go. When we first arrived, I was trying to get Wi-Fi connected so I could post my card but continued to have problems. I kept calling the front desk for help, about the third time I called a lady answered and she said, ‘ Just hold on sweetie, I will come and help you.” She was so nice, once she got to our room it was like we had been old friends forever, too bad she lives there and I am here, I am sure we could become friends forever. I just want to thank her for all her helpfulness and being so kind and friendly. I know I am a bit late with this thank you, but graduations are all that I have had on the brain and will continue through the month of May.

My card today is from the new stamp set Floral Essence (available to customers on June 4). I can already tell I am going to love creating with this stamp set and the beautiful Designer Series Paper.

A truly simple card to me anyway. It consists of a Granny Apple Green card base with two focal panels from the Perennial Essence DSP that have been cut at an angle to fit the challenge for today.

The design sketch comes from the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

And… CraftyHazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge for May.

The lace trim that is added to the bottom of the Petal Pink focal panel is cut using a Delicate Lace Die. The greeting from the Butterfly Gala stamp set is stamped in Highland Heather ink.

Using the punch that is part of the Floral Essence Bundle I punched three petals from a scrap that was left from the panel of Perennial Essence DSP. Using Glue Dots I glued the three together. The center is stamped in So Saffron ink and then fussy cut and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The flower is then popped onto the focal panel using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The inside sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set (available June 4 for customers) is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. A flower from the Floral Essence stamp set (available June 4 for customers) is also stamped in Highland Heather with a So Saffron ink center. This panel is matted on a Gorgeous Grape panel and adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

An envelope flap is covered with a panel of the Perennial Essence DSP.
