Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set and Daffodil Dies.  I also use the Hive 3D Embossing Folder, a die from the Detailed Dahlia Dies, and a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set.

My challenge for the day is the Die Cut Divas Challenge.  I went across the top row.

My card base is Pool Party, I embossed a 1-1/4″ strip with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that strip down the left side.  I cropped a panel of Basic White card stock using the large die from the Detailed Dahlia Dies.  I cut the piece in half using one of the pieces, I adhered it to the right side of my card base.

I cropped from Basic White card stock a daffodil and daffodil bud using the Daffodil Die. I colored them using a Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker, Real Red ink, and a Blending Brush to create the lighter color of the daffodil.  The leaves and stems are cropped from Beauty of the Earth DSP.

The daffodil and bud are arranged on a Basic White panel, adhered using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped on the card from using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the card front in several places.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, then cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Crumb Cake twine is popped behind the greeting using glue dots.  a scrap of Real Red Sheer ribbon is popped on one end of the greeting, the greeting is then adhered using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A daffodil is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a Basic White panel.  The daffodil is colored using Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of 2021-20221 6″ x 6″ Subtle DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set and the Hand Penned DSP.  My card is a CAS of Mary Deatherage.

Since this is a fun fold I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge, it is always a fun fold and they are my favorite but don’t always make.

The first thing I did was to score and cut a panel of Soft Succulent card stock.  You can see the diagram above for scoring and cutting.   Put the short side (the 5-1/2″ side) in the Paper Trimmer, I cut the card stock 1-1/2″ from the edge of the card stock, from the first score line down to the third score line.  You need to turn the paper around and do the same on the other side. 1-1/2″ cut on both sides from score line to score line.

You can see in the diagram above how to fold after scoring and cutting.

This is how the card looks out flat to add the mats and DSP. I should have taken a picture before I added the flower piece and greeting.

Here are the card cuts which are usually at the end of the post.  You will need the following.

  • Soft Succulent card stock — this is the card base. Cut 5-12″ x 8-1/2″  — score, cut and fold according to the diagram above.
  • Basic Black card stock
    • mats for the DSP pieces –( cut 2) mats 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″
    • mats for the DSP — (cut 4)  1-1/4″ x 1-7/8″
  • Hand Penned DSP
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 5-1/8″
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 2-1/8″
    • (cut 4) 1-1/8″ x 1-3/4″  I used two different patterns for this as I wanted to add other elements to these panels.
  • Basic White card stock
    • front panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″ I used the next to the largest Scalloped Contour Dies to crop this piece.
    • envelope flat — 2-1/4″ x 6″
  • Highland Heather card stock used to crop the flowers using a die from the Tulip Dies

You can see from the diagram how the mats and DSP are put together and adhered to the card base.

I colored the Scalloped Contour cropped piece using Soft Succulent, Daffodil Delight ink, and a Blending Brush. Stamped grass in Soft Succulent ink.  I stamped a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Highland Heather ink, I stamped again in Soft Succulent ink.  I fussy cut all the pieces and paper pieced to get the flowers the way I wanted.  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhered the flower heads to the stems.   The flower piece is popped on the colored panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Special Moments stamp set is stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die long retired but any die could be used that fits the greeting.  Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped in several spot on the card along with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips A Little Note

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips A Little Note

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tullip stamp set.  I also use a die from the Ornate Frame Dies, the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder,  and Flowering Tulips DSP.

My challenge for the day is the Krafty Chicks Challenge.

My card base is Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of Poppy Parade card stock using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder adhering it to the card base.

A strip of Flowering Fields DSP is cut and adhered down the left side over the embossed panel. A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Ornate Frame Dies. It is adhered over the Flowering Fields DSP.

On a piece of Basic White card stock tulip images from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulip stamp set is stamped in Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, and Early Espresso ink.  As each flower was stamped, I stamped Versa Mark over the image, sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the image, and heat embossed.  I did this to give the tulips a bit of a shine, you can see it in some of the pictures.  This piece is matted on Old Olive card stock and popped over the Ornate Frame panel with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is wrapped around the panel before it is adhered.  A tiny tag from the Tailor Made Tags is stamped with a greeting and tied with the end of the twine and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional is used to pop the tag up.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Flowering Fields DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Thinking of You Today Card

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Thinking of You Today Card

The card I am sharing today again uses the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulip Stamp Set &  Tulip Dies.  Don’t you love this set?  My card is a CAS of Anna Helman’s card.  I had seen her card on Pinterest some time ago and had saved it as one to make.

I am hoping it is ok to post more than one entry.  I believe my other one was a bit, not the colors it should have been.

Since I have a fun fold, I am also entering the Creative Crease Challenge.

My card base is Poppy Parade card stock, with the flap that folds over being the same and is embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  The card base is cut 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.

A panel of  Flowering Fields DSP is adhered to the card front and the embossed flap folds over it.

A panel of the Flowering Fields DSP is matted in Old Olive card stock and adhered to the backside of the flap so it matches the card front when you lift the flap.

This is a close-up of tulips cropped from Cherry Cobbler, Bumble Bee, Calypso Coral, and Poppy Parade card stock.  The edges of the Cherry Cobbler tulip are brushed with Basic White Craft ink to give a bit of dimension. An ink dauber is used to brush the edges of the Bumblee Bee one using Calypso Coral ink, the Calypso Coral One is brushed using Poppy Parade ink, and the Poppy Parade one is also brushed using Poppy Parade ink. The leaves are stamped using one of the leaf stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set using Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock then fussy cut.  They are arranged on the card flap and then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Wink of Stella is flicked on the tulips to give them a bit of sparkle.  A bow is created using Basic White Linen Thread and popped on the tulip leaves & stem.  Brushed Butterflies are scattered around the card art panel.

A panel of Basic White card stock is matted on an Old Olive card stock mat, a strip of the Flowering Fields DSP added down the side.  Two tulips are added to the opposite corner.  A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set is stamped in Old Olive ink.  This panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Flowering Fields DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sea Life It’s A Good Day Card

Stampin’ Up! Sea Life It’s A Good Day Card

The card I am sharing today, happened by accident.  I had cropped a seahorse image from the Stampin’ Up! Sea Life Dies and put the negative portion on my desk on top of a Coastal Cabana card base, I had planned on using the card base for another card.  When I saw how it looked, I thought why not… so here it is as a card.  I added a Basic White mat, making the negative image show up even better.

My challenge for the day is the Daisy Chain Challenge.  Daisies have always been my favorite, not roses as most people choose, so I just had to join this challenge.

The card base is Coastal Cabana with a panel of the same  for the background panel and embossed using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I had cut the seahorse from the Black Glitter paper planning to use on another card, but it turned out not the ideal creature for the card, it being black.  I matted it on a piece of Basic White card stock as I mentioned earlier to give a tiny border around the black.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front using a Mini Dimensional and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I decided to use the seahorse on the inside panel. The remainder of the card is blank for a message, be it birthday, hello, anniversary, or a dozen other celebrations.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the 6″ x 6″ DSP Bright Assortment applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.
