Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette

Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette

This was a fun card to make.   Thanks to Debbie Mageed for making it.  I rarely make cards that have yellows, golds and orange colors but mine turned out rather nice.  Hers is beautiful, you can see it here.  I saw her card on the Alphabet Challenge and right away knew I had some DSP I needed to use up.

My challenges are two for today.

Dragonfly Dreams  – Birthday

And... Stamping Sensations –Flowers

The card starts out with a regular card base in Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral card stock.  It gives you the normal place on the inside to adhere a Whisper White card stock panel for a sentiment and forms the base to prop up the double easel.

For the easel portion, I used a 4″ x 10 1/4″ piece of Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade card stock and scored it at 2-1/2” and at 5”.   The first score line (2-1/2”) is folded as a valley and the second one (5”) as a mountain. Burnish both folds well so the card will be easier to lay flatI cut three pieces of Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhered them to the Poppy Parade card stock easel portion of the card with Liquid Glue.

Using one of the flower stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set, I stamped three flowers in Versa Mark ink on Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Calypso Coral card stock sprinkled Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder on each and heat set with the heat tool.  Using the leaf stamp, I did the same on Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock.  The two leaves that are Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz are leaves I had in my extras box.  The flowers and leaves were popped on the portion of the easel panel that forms the front panel using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut two large medallions from Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the medallion die from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Layers Dies.  I adhered them together in spots using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then popped it on the card front using Glue Dots.  The greeting “Happy Day” from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock, I then fussy cut it out and adhered to the middle of the medallion using Multipurpose Glue.

The sentiment on the fold of the easel is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on the label that has been cut using one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Petal Labels Dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock using sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set.  A flower that has been fussy cut is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

 Card Cuts:

  • Mango Melody card stock — Card Base: 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″
  • Poppy Parade card stock –Easel Base: 4 1/4″ x 10 1/4″ and scored at 2 1/2″ and 5″; flower — 2-1/2″ strip
  • See A Silhouette DSP  Panel: 4 1/8″ x 5 1/8″;  Cut (2) 3 7/8″ 2 1/4
  • So Saffron card stock — flower –  2-1/2″ strip

I realize, but this will have to be the correction, that my card base is not Mango Melody but Calypso Coral.  I used the wrong (I don’t guess you could say wrong) but a different color base than I intended, so all Mango Melody is Calypso Coral card stock.

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop for August — Fall Frenzy

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop for August — Fall Frenzy

Welcome!  It’s that time — what time is that you ask!  Time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. Our theme for August is “Fall Frenzy”  I am using fallish, (is that a word) colors as my contribution to Fall. It is the second Tuesday of each month.  You can always find a group of talented ladies that make up a part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  Be sure you check out each person’s blog, you will find much talent and inspiration.  You may even find that you would like to CAS(E) one of the cards.  That’s an honor for the creator of the card to have someone want to CAS(E) their card.  Will let’s begin, I know you are wanting to see all the cards.

The  I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.  I have had this set for a good long time and have only used it once or twice.  While making this card, I realize this is a set that can be used for a variety of cards.  The card base is Stampin’ Up! Old Olive card stock that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder. When you want to emboss the entire front of your card base, the easy way is to cut a panel the size of the card and embossed and adhere it to the card front.  Much easier than trying to keep the entire card straight and the fold on the edge of the folder.  This card has a few layers and each layer is matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso card stock.

My challenges for the day are with Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.   I chose their sketch #165 for today, but want to come back with sketch #166.

And challenge…

Seize the Birthday + Toppings  which happens to be Flowers for the topping

The Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry card stock panel is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  After embossing I used a sponge and highlighted parts of the panel using Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso ink. This panel is then adhered to the Stampin’ Up! Early Express card stock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It is then adhered to the card front.

Next comes the Stampin’ Up 6″ x 6″ Subtle Designer Series Paper panel, also matted in Early Espresso.  It becomes the mat for the art panel.  The art panel is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and the flower images from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set in various colors that you can find at the bottom of this post along with the card cuts.  The bow is created from Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday and is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  The flowers are stamped in the right corner to give the panel a bit of decoration.

In finishing my card project, I stamped a flower on the lower corner of the envelope front and three flowers on the envelope flap.  The card is finished!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my card.  You can now click on the Next button and it will take you to Karen Finkle’s blog or the Previous button and it will take you to Akiko Sudano’s blog or you can click on each name listed below and you will be taken to that person’s blog.  Enjoy the beautiful cards of these talented ladies.  Have a blessed day.

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat

Welcome  Everyone!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend.  Here it is Monday and the count down starts all over again!

The card shared today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set.  It has been a cute fun card.

My challenge for the day is with Freshly Made Sketches.  It is Freshly Made Sketches 400th Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral card stock is the card base.  There is a Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock mat for all the  Stampin’ Up! Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper panels on the card front. The art panel is stamped on a Stampin’Up!  Sahara Sand card stock square that has been cropped out using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched ShapesStampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce and Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake inks are using to stamp the line of trees and deer on the square of card stock. The Stampin’ Up! Sprig punch is used to punch out Sahara Sand and Shaded Spruce sprigs.  One of the sprigs is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce ink and fussy cut.  The sprigs are bunched together with Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dots and popped on the corner of the art square.  A button from my button jar is adhered with a Mini Glue Dot after a length of Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread is threaded through the buttonholes and tied in a bow.

The inside has a mat of Shaded Spruce and a panel from the Follow Your Art DSP adhered using Multipurpose Glue and is stamped with a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce ink.

The envelope flap has been stamped using the deer stamp from the Rustic Retreat stamp set using Sahara Sand ink.  The sprig on the envelope front is stamped using Shaded Spruce ink.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to my blog.  I hope you are having a glorious day, we plan on it being one.  We off soon to see our granddaughter before she leaves for college next week.  It will be one of those “Roll Tide” unless they are playing the “dawgs” and then it will be “Go Dawgs”.  Their school of dance was the best fit for her, but I think she will still be a “dawg” at heart.  Can’t believe its time for her to go to college.  Enjoy each moment folks.  The time of leaving home comes much too swift.

Now on to the card making!  The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia and Magnolia Lane DSP.

My challenge is with Try Stamping on Tuesday.  It is a sketch challenge.

And…

Watercooler Wednesday – Karen’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge

My card has a Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock base with the focal panel, a panel from Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  There is also a square of the DSP used as a background piece for the art panel. Tuxedo Memento Black ink is used to stamp the art panel on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock square using the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.  It is colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, and Early Espresso.  All these layers are adhered with either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The tiny bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread and is adhered with a Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dot.  A single pearl from the Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels is the finishing touch to the card front.

The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a  panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment panel is matted on a panel of DSP that matches the one on the card front.

In finishing my card project, I decorated the flap of a medium-size  Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Envelope with the DSP that coordinates with the focal panel on the card front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Enjoy your Saturday!

Stampin’ Up! All Geared Up!

Stampin’ Up! All Geared Up!

The card I am sharing today is for a special young man’s birthday.  From the looks of the card you can tell what he is into.

My challenge for the day is with Watercooler Wednesday – WWC230- Kath’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock is the card base.  The next layer is a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel that becomes the mat for the Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock focal panel.

The focal panel has been stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink that has been stamped off once.  I used different stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage Stamp Set to do the stamping.

Three different size mats are used to give the design texture. Using dies from the Stampin’ Up! Garage Gears Dies I cut several parts that you would see on a card from Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate card stock and gave them a brush over with a Wink of Stella brush to make them more metallic looking.  Some were popped on with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals and some were adhered with Multipurpose Glue.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock that is given a Real Red card stock mat.  It seems I use this set more than most.  A car is stamped at the bottom of the panel in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.

In finishing my card, I stamped cars on the envelope flap and on the corner of the front of the envelope.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you like my card and that you can find inspiration for your own creations from it.
