Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette

Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette

This was a fun card to make.   Thanks to Debbie Mageed for making it.  I rarely make cards that have yellows, golds and orange colors but mine turned out rather nice.  Hers is beautiful, you can see it here.  I saw her card on the Alphabet Challenge and right away knew I had some DSP I needed to use up.

My challenges are two for today.

Dragonfly Dreams  – Birthday

And... Stamping Sensations –Flowers

The card starts out with a regular card base in Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral card stock.  It gives you the normal place on the inside to adhere a Whisper White card stock panel for a sentiment and forms the base to prop up the double easel.

For the easel portion, I used a 4″ x 10 1/4″ piece of Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade card stock and scored it at 2-1/2” and at 5”.   The first score line (2-1/2”) is folded as a valley and the second one (5”) as a mountain. Burnish both folds well so the card will be easier to lay flatI cut three pieces of Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhered them to the Poppy Parade card stock easel portion of the card with Liquid Glue.

Using one of the flower stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set, I stamped three flowers in Versa Mark ink on Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Calypso Coral card stock sprinkled Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder on each and heat set with the heat tool.  Using the leaf stamp, I did the same on Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock.  The two leaves that are Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz are leaves I had in my extras box.  The flowers and leaves were popped on the portion of the easel panel that forms the front panel using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut two large medallions from Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the medallion die from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Layers Dies.  I adhered them together in spots using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then popped it on the card front using Glue Dots.  The greeting “Happy Day” from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock, I then fussy cut it out and adhered to the middle of the medallion using Multipurpose Glue.

The sentiment on the fold of the easel is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on the label that has been cut using one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Petal Labels Dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock using sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set.  A flower that has been fussy cut is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

  • Mango Melody card stock — Card Base: 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″
  • Poppy Parade card stock –Easel Base: 4 1/4″ x 10 1/4″ and scored at 2 1/2″ and 5″; flower — 2-1/2″ strip
  • See A Silhouette DSP  Panel: 4 1/8″ x 5 1/8″;  Cut (2) 3 7/8″ 2 1/4
  • So Saffron card stock — flower –  2-1/2″ strip

I realize, but this will have to be the correction, that my card base is not Mango Melody but Calypso Coral.  I used the wrong (I don’t guess you could say wrong) but a different color base than I intended, so all Mango Melody is Calypso Coral card stock.
