Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette

Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette

This was a fun card to make.   Thanks to Debbie Mageed for making it.  I rarely make cards that have yellows, golds and orange colors but mine turned out rather nice.  Hers is beautiful, you can see it here.  I saw her card on the Alphabet Challenge and right away knew I had some DSP I needed to use up.

My challenges are two for today.

Dragonfly Dreams  – Birthday

And... Stamping Sensations –Flowers

The card starts out with a regular card base in Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral card stock.  It gives you the normal place on the inside to adhere a Whisper White card stock panel for a sentiment and forms the base to prop up the double easel.

For the easel portion, I used a 4″ x 10 1/4″ piece of Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade card stock and scored it at 2-1/2” and at 5”.   The first score line (2-1/2”) is folded as a valley and the second one (5”) as a mountain. Burnish both folds well so the card will be easier to lay flatI cut three pieces of Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhered them to the Poppy Parade card stock easel portion of the card with Liquid Glue.

Using one of the flower stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set, I stamped three flowers in Versa Mark ink on Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Calypso Coral card stock sprinkled Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder on each and heat set with the heat tool.  Using the leaf stamp, I did the same on Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock.  The two leaves that are Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz are leaves I had in my extras box.  The flowers and leaves were popped on the portion of the easel panel that forms the front panel using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut two large medallions from Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the medallion die from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Layers Dies.  I adhered them together in spots using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then popped it on the card front using Glue Dots.  The greeting “Happy Day” from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock, I then fussy cut it out and adhered to the middle of the medallion using Multipurpose Glue.

The sentiment on the fold of the easel is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on the label that has been cut using one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Petal Labels Dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock using sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set.  A flower that has been fussy cut is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Blender Pens

$12.00

 Card Cuts:

  • Mango Melody card stock — Card Base: 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″
  • Poppy Parade card stock –Easel Base: 4 1/4″ x 10 1/4″ and scored at 2 1/2″ and 5″; flower — 2-1/2″ strip
  • See A Silhouette DSP  Panel: 4 1/8″ x 5 1/8″;  Cut (2) 3 7/8″ 2 1/4
  • So Saffron card stock — flower –  2-1/2″ strip

I realize, but this will have to be the correction, that my card base is not Mango Melody but Calypso Coral.  I used the wrong (I don’t guess you could say wrong) but a different color base than I intended, so all Mango Melody is Calypso Coral card stock.

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes

Hope your day is going wonderfully cool as the temps here yesterday were horrible.  We had to run an errand and the temp in the Suburban read 107.  After cooling a bit it went down to 98.  Not much improvement — so stay cool today I am sure it will be another hot one.  Too hot for humans or animals!

The card I am sharing today is a cute stamp set that covers most of the family members.  It is Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set — too bad they did not make dies for the silhouettes.

My card challenge for the day is with Fusion Card Challenge — you can see I did both sides of the challenge or at least I hope my boy and girl qualify as family.

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray card stock base.  A panel of Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper is added as a focal panel.  A triangle is cut from another panel and adhered at the top of the focal panel.  This panel looks like the night sky, but then I suppose you can say that for both.   The scalloped edge on the triangle is from Stampin’ Up! Budding Blooms Dies.  The boy and girl are stamped with Versa Mark and sprinkled with Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder and heat set using the Stampin’ Up Heat Tool.  I made the boy appear as if he were lying on the ground and looking up at the night sky as his sister or friend points out a special star to him.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel that has been matted on a Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock panel and then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

In finishing my card project I decorated the envelope flap with a panel of the DSP that coordinates with the front of the card, I also stamped the boy and girl on the card front.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a blessed day.  I hope you like my card and find encouragement or inspiration for your own creations.

Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes

What big plans do you have for July 4th other than watching the fireworks?  I know many of you must work–nurses, police, fire.  Thank you for working and protecting us on this day as we celebrate America’s birthday.  And thank you to all the restaurant workers who are working this day and not getting to celebrate with their families because they along with the nurses, police and fire are out there serving us to make our day better– So thank you!

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.  It was simple and easy.  One layer with a mat and that’s it.

Thanks to my stampin’ friend Karen Finkle, I’ve found a new challenge to try  little Red Wagon

The base is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock mat for the focal panel.  The focal panel is from Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper.

Using Versa Mark ink I stamped the images from Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set on the focal panel and then heat embossed using Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and is also heat embossed.

The inside greeting is left without a sentiment so a note can be written.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front.   I   gave the envelope flap a few stamps from the dandelion stamp so it matches the card front.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.
