Stampin’ Up! Traditions of St Nick – Joy and Peace

Stampin’ Up! Traditions of St Nick – Joy and Peace

Happy Veterans Day! Veterans Day is tomorrow November 11.

Christmas will be here before we realize, so my hope is that you are busy making Christmas cards that your family and friends will cherish and want to display long after the season is just a memory.  Stampin’ Up! offers the things need to create those cherished cards. Take the card below, this one is created using an Online Exclusive offering, meaning it is not in a catalog but online.  Go to the Online Store  Online Exclusives is one of the pop-ups. Click on it and look through all the fantastic items offered.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper.  This is an Online Exclusive.  I also used Stampin’ Up! Stars at Night stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set, and Stampin’ Up! Night Divine stamp set.

This card is a fun fold but probably not one I would make again, as I like fun folds best that will stand.  I added a piece on the back so it would stand. Start with a piece of Pebble Path card stock cut 4 1/4″ by 11″ scored on the long side at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″ and folded along the score lines. See image below.

Cut a second piece 8-1/2″ x 3″ scoring at 4-1/4″.  This is the piece the Santa image is adhered with mats.   Cut one piece of Real Red card stock 4″ x 5-1/4″, cut three pieces 2-1/2 x 4″.  These are the mats for the Designer Series Paper.  You will also need to cut two pieces of Basic White card stock 2-1/2″ x 4″.  One is for the inside of the little card and the other is for the front where Santa is adhered.  The one on the front is embossed using the cross hatch embossing folder from Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  Also, emboss the front of the little card using the same embossing folder.

Fussy cut a Santa from a piece of the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper, popping on the Basic White embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhered this piece to the Real Red mat then adhere to the little card front.

Cut one piece of Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper 3-3/4″ x 5″, cut two pieces 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″.   Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Real Red mats, then adhered to the card base.  Adhere the little card to the main background piece.  Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Night Divine stamp set in Pebble Path ink on a piece of Basic White card stock . Mat on a piece of Pebble Path card stock and adhere to the first panel.  Adhere 2023-2025 Incolor Dots on the greeting and on the Santa piece.

You can see the piece added to the back of the card to help it stand. It is the Real Red piece.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Stars at Night stamp set  is stamped on the Basic White card stock piece and adhered to the inside of the little card.

This is the back of the card. A piece of Basic White has been added to write a note or add an additional sentiment.

A Basic White envelope gets  piece of Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using  Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
