Stampin’ Up! Regal Reindeer Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Regal Reindeer Christmas Card

I made this card about a year ago and had CASed it from Mary Deatherage.    It is a tent fold with a bridge.  Mary shows every well in her video how to create the bridge.  I am using Stampin’ Up! Regal Reindeer stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set to create the card.  I, also, used dies from Forever Forest Die and One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper for the background piece.

This is a tip that Mary also gave on one of her video.  She was showing us how to make sure our greeting and sentiment are straight. She said use a piece of the acetate that comes in a photopolymer stamp set. Place it over your card, making sure it is straight also.  Stamp your image over the piece of acetate. You will be able to see if your greeting or sentiment is straight.  I thought well if it work for that it should work to make sure you have your image in the correct position to mask.

Remove the acetate piece and place a post it note over the area that needs masking.  When the mask is removed it will appear the reindeer is coming from behind the tree.  You can then proceed to color the reindeer.

Color the reindeer using Watercolor Pencils.  I used Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Real Red, and Gorgeous Grape.  I used a Blender Pen to smooth out the color.  Two trees are die cut from Mossy Meadow card stock and Old Olive card stock.  The two trees are popped on the card front adhering Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the middle of the tree trunk.  A piece of ice and snow are fussy cut from another panel of One Horse Open Sleigh 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and popped over the bottom of the trees using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Regal Reindeer stamp set is stamped in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled with Shimmer White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  The greeting is die cut using a die from All That Dies.  Loops of Linen Thread are looped around the area the greeting will be popped over using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Sequins from Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped around the card front.  Adhere the focal piece to the Real Red and Early Espresso card stock mats using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

.This is the back of the card where the sentiment goes as this is a tent card with a bridge.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set and Regal Reindeer stamp set is stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled with Shimmer White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  The remaining portion of the focal panel from the card front is adhered down the side of the Real Red panel.  Three trees from Forever Forest Dies are die cut from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive card stock and adhered to the piece.  Three sequins are popped on the panel.

Trees are stenciled on the Basic White envelope flap using Mossy Meadow ink and a die cut from the die in the photo.

I am entering the Allsorts Challenge for this card.  Their theme is always Anything Goes, sometimes with a twist.  The twist for this challenge is our 4-legged friends.  My reindeer has four legs but only two are showing as he is coming from behind a tree.

I am also entering Moving Along With The Times Challenge.  Their theme for this Challenge is Christmas.
