Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Today’s the day if you are planning OnStage in November!  Are you excited?

The card I am sharing today is a take on Tammy Beard‘s card.  Her’s is so beautiful.  She used the Stitched Nesting Dies and I did not remember that until I was finished so you get to see mine this way.  I am using Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set.  The greeting and sentiment are both very old.  I keep them stuck on an old ink pad case to keep up with them.  I am sure they are some of the first stamps purchased 10 plus years ago, but when it comes to Christmas card making the Merry Christmas is a perfect size.  I have another that is tiny that I cut in two pieces so I can use it like Around The Corner.

My challenge for today is with three challenges.

Crafty Gals Corner the challenge is    Emboss It!    You may use any form of embossing on your project)!

Cardz  4 Galz  Challenge Blog the challenge is anything with Wings.

Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock is the base.  To make embossing easier when you want the card front embossed, emboss a panel of the card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank Embossing Folder and cut it the same size as the card front, adhere with Liquid Glue to the card base — and it will look like you have embossed the card front.   Emboss then cut as you card stock seems to shrink a bit when you emboss it.

Stamp the birds from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock cut 3″ x 2-1/2″.  Color the art images using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Pens in these colors;

Light Real Red for the birds, Light Shaded Spruce for the leaves, Light Mango Medley for the bird’s beak, Light and Dark Crumb Cake Thethe Branch and the flowers have a drop of Liquid Glue with Stampin’ Up! Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The mat is Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock cut 2-5/8″ x 3-1/8″, using Liquid Glue the art piece and the mat are adhered together and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Before the art panel is popped on the card front a length of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle is adhered to the back of the Shaded Spruce mat.  Several Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Back Sequins are scattered over the card front.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ U! Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  A bird from the Free As A Bird stamp set is stamped in the lower-left corner.

In finishing, I stamped a bird on the envelope flap and one in the lower right corner on the envelope front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a blessed day and if you are planning to go to OnStage in November I hope you are successful in getting registered.
