Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower You Inspire Me

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower You Inspire Me

The card I am sharing today is created using  Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower, Beauty of Friendship, and Free As A Bird Stamp Sets.  The Meadow Moments Embossing Folder is used for the embossing.

My design is inspired by the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  It is a sketch challenge.  My occasion is the celebration of my sister being cancer-free for 12 years now.

I am also entering the challenge at The House That Stamps Built — their theme for this challenge is Think Pink in honor of breast cancer as October is Breast Cancer Month and I have a sister who is a survivor.

I started with a Basic White card stock base adding a panel of the same embossed using the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.

To create the Polished Pink sunflower, I dropped several drops of the Polished Pink ink from a refill bottle.  I then added water using a Water Painter.  I keep adding until I had the color of pink I wanted.  I then place a panel of Watercolor paper over the watered-down ink, I then dried the ink using a heat tool, then dipped in the ink again.  I kept doing this until I had the panel covered, dried it again with the heat tool and it was ready for stamping.

I first stamped the sunflower from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set using Polished Pink ink, then I stamped Versa Mark over it and sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over it and heat embossed.  Thankfully, I remembered there was a die for this, but on my first try of stamping, I fussy cut.  The leaves and stems are cropped from Garden Green card stock.  The greeting is stamped in Polished Pink ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock then fussy cut and popped on the card front.  I colored a length of ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack using a Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker and created the Breast Cancer Ribbon at the top of the card.  Pearls Basic Jewels are added to the center of the sunflower.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set is stamped in Polished Pink ink on the Basic White panel.  A ribbon representing Breast Cancer is created using a scrap of the Whimsey & Wonder DSP.  It has been embossed using the Timber 3-D embossing Folder, then popped on the panel using  Glue Dots.

A Breast Cancer Ribbon is adhered to the medium white envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Symmetry Thank You

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Symmetry Thank You

Good Morning,  I have a simple and easy card for you today.  It is created using the Sweet Symmetry DSP.My design inspiration comes from the Fab Friday 217 Challenge.

I started with a card base of Misty Moonlight card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

A panel of Real Red card stock is cut for the mat of the Sweet Symmetry DSP panel. They are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Three different small pieces are cut with the Real Red one being embossed also with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.   The Basic White piece has Thank you from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set stamped in Real Red ink.  The three pieces are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a Basic White Linen Thread is wrapped around them and a bow is popped on using a Mini Glue Dot.  Opal Rounds are popped on the card front.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Basic White card stock using Real Red ink.  Pieces of the same from the card front are adhered under the sentiment.  Opal Rounds are popped around the sentiment.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Up! Free Happy Easter weekend!  I hope you have fun celebrating with family and friends.

My card today features the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and the Friends Like You Stamp Set.

My inspiration for the design is the Inspire Create Challenge.  It is a great challenge to make a fun fold card.  The design is great for a gate fold card.

Mint Macaron card stock

  • Card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ on both ends of card stock

First Layer :  Pretty Peacock card stock

  • Mats for art piece, cut the following — (4) 2″ x 5-3/8″– Cut (1) 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ — Cut (1) 2-3/8″ x 4-1/2″

Second Layer on card front — Butterfly Bijou DSP — Cut (2) 1-7/8″ x 5-1/8″

Second Layer inside — Basic White card stock — 1-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ Cut (2) — 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ Cut (1)– Color using Blending Brushes, Pool Party and Seaside Spray ink.

  • Basic White card stock — art piece on card front — 2-1/4″ x 4-3/8″

Stamp in Tuxedo Memento Black in an image from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set onto the Basic White card stock panel that has been colored.  Color the birds using Stampin’ Blends in Seaside Spray, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Crumb Cake.  Color the tree branch using Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. Color the leaves using Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and the blossoms in Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends, retiring soon.  It would be nice if they were not because Rococo Rose is a nice pink.

Before cutting the art piece for the inside into three pieces, stamp the birds from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and color using the same colors as the front is colored.  After coloring cut into the three pieces of sizes given above.  I left the inside free of a sentiment because I want to add three and have not decided on them, it will be who I decide to send the card as to the sentiments used.

Give a medium Basic White envelope a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are listed at the end of this post and the card cuts are at the beginning of this post because of the card created.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Happy Thursday everyone!  One more day and the weekend is here again.  Seems like I was just saying that!

My card that I am sharing today is from one of my favorite stamp sets– Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird.  I didn’t use any of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that goes with this stamp set but I love it also.  I used DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Come To Gather DSP from the 2019 Holiday catalog.

My challenge is with Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I started with a Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock base and added a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come To Gather Designer Series Paper for a background panel.

The feather panel is also from the Stampin’ Up! Come To Gather DSP and has two mats one of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and one of  Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock. This is adhered to the woodgrain panel from the Come To Gather DSP using Liquid Glue.

The bird image from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White panel that has been cropped using one of the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I did a light wash on the art panel to match the DSP color, I also added some sprinkles using the stamp from Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set

The feathers on the side are from the Stampin’ Up! Tags and Feathers Elements from the 2019 Holiday catalog. I fussy cut feathers to go with the wooden elements.  The copper element that joins the two wooden feather is from Stampin’ Up! Tags and Feathers Elements. All panels were embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.

The inside sentiment panel gets a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and birds from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set.  The birds are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils.  The colors here look nothing like they do in person.  On the actual card they are bright, here they look pastel.  The leaves and branch are colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in Light Olive Green and Light Crumb Cake.

I finished my project by decorating the flap of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope with a panel of the Come To Gather DSP.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Today’s the day if you are planning OnStage in November!  Are you excited?

The card I am sharing today is a take on Tammy Beard‘s card.  Her’s is so beautiful.  She used the Stitched Nesting Dies and I did not remember that until I was finished so you get to see mine this way.  I am using Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set.  The greeting and sentiment are both very old.  I keep them stuck on an old ink pad case to keep up with them.  I am sure they are some of the first stamps purchased 10 plus years ago, but when it comes to Christmas card making the Merry Christmas is a perfect size.  I have another that is tiny that I cut in two pieces so I can use it like Around The Corner.

My challenge for today is with three challenges.

Crafty Gals Corner the challenge is    Emboss It!    You may use any form of embossing on your project)!

Cardz  4 Galz  Challenge Blog the challenge is anything with Wings.

Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock is the base.  To make embossing easier when you want the card front embossed, emboss a panel of the card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank Embossing Folder and cut it the same size as the card front, adhere with Liquid Glue to the card base — and it will look like you have embossed the card front.   Emboss then cut as you card stock seems to shrink a bit when you emboss it.

Stamp the birds from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock cut 3″ x 2-1/2″.  Color the art images using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Pens in these colors;

Light Real Red for the birds, Light Shaded Spruce for the leaves, Light Mango Medley for the bird’s beak, Light and Dark Crumb Cake Thethe Branch and the flowers have a drop of Liquid Glue with Stampin’ Up! Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The mat is Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock cut 2-5/8″ x 3-1/8″, using Liquid Glue the art piece and the mat are adhered together and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Before the art panel is popped on the card front a length of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle is adhered to the back of the Shaded Spruce mat.  Several Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Back Sequins are scattered over the card front.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ U! Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  A bird from the Free As A Bird stamp set is stamped in the lower-left corner.

In finishing, I stamped a bird on the envelope flap and one in the lower right corner on the envelope front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a blessed day and if you are planning to go to OnStage in November I hope you are successful in getting registered.
