Stampin’ Up! True Love

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Happy Cold Tuesday. Have a great day and be blessed you are inside in the warmth.  My nephew and his SIL are linemen, so you know what that means in this weather.  The SIL is a helicopter lineman, meaning he stands on the runner of the helicopter and works on the lines. They have to go everywhere there is a need.

My card today is created using the True Love DSP, Stitched Be Mine Dies, Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, and a greeting from Beautiful Moments Stamp Set. Oh, and the negative space left from cropping a panel with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  When I looked at that it, I thought that will make a great frame and it does.

Inspiration today comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge  — this week it is a color challenge.

Start with a card base of Bermuda Bay card stock and emboss a panel of the same using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  This will be adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Glue. Adhere the Basic White card stock frame over the embossed panel.

Fussy Cut the flowers from a panel of the True Love DSP. Color using Real Red and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Use a Blender Pen and Blushing Bride ink to color the rosebuds.   Pop the flowers in the left corner of the embossed panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewel around the card front.

Crop three hearts from Real Red card stock using a die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  Stack the hearts together to give some dimension.  Stamp a greeting from the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set on the heart using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  Pop in the upper right corner over the frame a bit.

Fussy cut and color more flowers for the Basic White card stock sentiment panel. Adhere to the card base after coloring.

Color more flowers and adhere the colored panel to the flap of a medium Basic White envelope.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds

Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds

Is it Monday already?!

I am entering two challenges today.  The Card Concept — Beautiful Butterflies

And…

The card I am sharing is created using the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Stamp Set.  The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock with a Whisper White card stock panel embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank  Embossing Folder.

Before embossing all the stamping of the artwork was stamped and colored.  All the images were stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink, then coloring was done using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blend Markers in Light Highland Heather and Light Old Olive. The butterflies were stamped in Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo ink and Coastal Cabana ink.  The black butterfly was stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink. I stamped an extra black one, fussy cut it and then popped it on the black butterfly with a Glue Dot.  Using the Pinewoods Plank Embossing Folder gives the impression the flowers and butterflies are on a fence.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.  The butterflies are from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set.  Both are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The “Happy Birthday” is from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.

I finished my project by decorating the flap and front corner of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope by stamping butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Today’s the day if you are planning OnStage in November!  Are you excited?

The card I am sharing today is a take on Tammy Beard‘s card.  Her’s is so beautiful.  She used the Stitched Nesting Dies and I did not remember that until I was finished so you get to see mine this way.  I am using Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set.  The greeting and sentiment are both very old.  I keep them stuck on an old ink pad case to keep up with them.  I am sure they are some of the first stamps purchased 10 plus years ago, but when it comes to Christmas card making the Merry Christmas is a perfect size.  I have another that is tiny that I cut in two pieces so I can use it like Around The Corner.

My challenge for today is with three challenges.

Crafty Gals Corner the challenge is    Emboss It!    You may use any form of embossing on your project)!

Cardz  4 Galz  Challenge Blog the challenge is anything with Wings.

Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock is the base.  To make embossing easier when you want the card front embossed, emboss a panel of the card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank Embossing Folder and cut it the same size as the card front, adhere with Liquid Glue to the card base — and it will look like you have embossed the card front.   Emboss then cut as you card stock seems to shrink a bit when you emboss it.

Stamp the birds from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock cut 3″ x 2-1/2″.  Color the art images using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Pens in these colors;

Light Real Red for the birds, Light Shaded Spruce for the leaves, Light Mango Medley for the bird’s beak, Light and Dark Crumb Cake Thethe Branch and the flowers have a drop of Liquid Glue with Stampin’ Up! Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The mat is Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock cut 2-5/8″ x 3-1/8″, using Liquid Glue the art piece and the mat are adhered together and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Before the art panel is popped on the card front a length of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle is adhered to the back of the Shaded Spruce mat.  Several Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Back Sequins are scattered over the card front.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ U! Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  A bird from the Free As A Bird stamp set is stamped in the lower-left corner.

In finishing, I stamped a bird on the envelope flap and one in the lower right corner on the envelope front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a blessed day and if you are planning to go to OnStage in November I hope you are successful in getting registered.

Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals

Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals

Here it is Monday rolling around again.  Ever notice how quick it appears each week.  I trust everyone had a great peaceful, fun, relaxing weekend.

I can’t seem to get away from those beautiful prints in the  Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper because here I am again using it.  They are such lovely prints you or I do anyway, hate to cut the panel.  This paper works perfectly for the challenge I am entering for today.

My challenge is Just Add Ink “No Stamping” and as you can see by the title the challenge is no stamping.

The card base is from the Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose card stock with two mats, one being the focal panel. The first mat is from Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock and is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder.  The second mat is a panel from the Pressed Petals DSP and is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank Embossing Folder.  They are adhered using Multipurpose Glue.

The art piece is another panel from the Pressed Petals DSP and is adhered to a Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock mat.  The greeting is cut three times using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Well Written Dies and is stacked and glued together.  Pearls from Stampin’ Up!  Pearl Basic Jewel are scattered on the card front.  A bow is made and adhered with a Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dot.  I believe the twine for the bow is from a Paper Pumpkin kit.

The inside sentiment panel is decorated with flowers that have been fussy cut from the Pressed Petals DSP.  The panel is left blank except for the flowers for a note to be written.

In finishing the flap of the envelope is given a panel of the Pressed Petals DSP so it will coordinate with the card front.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you like my card and that you have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat

Oh! Here it is Wednesday and we are downhill from here but what if you are a person that has Monday and Tuesday off and you work the other 5 days.  Is Friday then the Hump Day?  One of my grandsons works Tuesday through Saturday so I guess his over the hump day is Thursday.  Enough of my silliness so on to the card.

The card I am sharing today is from Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat.  This is a sweet little stamp set with some great sentiments.  Another Christmas card to add to my stash.  Maybe if I make one a day until it is time to mail, I may have enough.  I probably should address them as I go that way there will be less to address at the end.

My challenge for today is from the TGIF Challenge Christmas in July

This card has a few layers so here goes

  • First is the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock base
  • Next is the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler card stock mat
  • The next layer is the Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock embossed panel.  The Crumb Cake ink pad was rubbed across the Stampin’ Up! Pinewoods Plank Embossing Folder and then embossed.  This gives more texture to the embossing.
  • The Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock panel is trimmed in a Cherry Cobbler border.  The Shaded Spruce panel is stamped with the twig stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Stamp Set using Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Last is the Whisper White card stock art panel that is cropped out using the.

All the layers are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The art panel has the greeting stamped in Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler ink. The cabin is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and a Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen.  The art panel is popped on the embossed panel using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A length of Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread is wrapped around the embossed panel and the art panel before the embossed panel is adhered to the Cherry Cobbler mat.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! First Frost Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock that has been matted on a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  A deer from the Rustic Retreat stamp set is stamped in Crumb Cake ink in the lower right corner.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card.  I gave the envelope flap three stamps with the deer stamp from the Rustic Retreat stamp set.  I also stamped one deer on the envelope front.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you like my card and that you can find inspiration for your own creations from it.
