Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane

Happy Sunny Sunday!  I hope your day goes fabulous and you get to do what your heart desires.

The card I am sharing is a combo of Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I seem to be using these two more than I probably should, but daisies are my favorite and I love, love, love this Daisy DSP.

My inspiration for my card comes from two challenges today.  One is Just Us Girls  — Word Week #58  Designer  Paper

The other is Watercooler Wednesday   Dawn’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge

I have used Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock as the card base.  I wanted to emboss the front of the card with the Stampin’ Up!  Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder so I cut a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock the size of the card front and embossed it.  This makes it so much easier and neater to emboss in this fashion.  This panel is not adhered to the card front until the entire card front is finished, again doing this way makes it easier for me.

I winged it and cut the panel of Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals DSP this design by cutting a portion of the panel out using the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer and scissors.  This is no particular design for any reason other than I liked it cut that way to reveal the embossed panel underneath.  The scalloped trim is created from a one-inch strip from another panel of the Pressed Petals DSP and an old pair of scalloped edge craft scissors that are probably from the 80’s or maybe 1990.  They are clunky and have big blue and yellow plastic handles  — must have been for a child.

I stamped 4 daisies using the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight ink.  I stacked these together to create my daisy.  I stamped the leaf 3 times on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock using Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow ink, I then fussy cut and stack these together also adhering them using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A small bow was created using Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Baker’s Twine.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! A Little Lace. I stamped it in Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel ink and then cut the greeting apart to use the portion I wanted.  The greeting is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals that was cut in two pieces to fit the tiny words.  I left the inside panel blank so a note can be written. The jewels are from the Stampin’ Up! Nobel Peacock Rhinestones.

In finishing, I gave a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope flap a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

  1. I love how you gave a peek in to see the embossed panel. I have a pair of scissors that give an edging that looks like the edging on old photographs (think it is called “Deckle”. Actually, they were the first purchase I bought when I started out scrapbooking. Sadly, they have sat unused for some time now. Think I’ll get them out and start using them again, thanks to your inspiration! Love that DSP and you have done a great job of highlighting it. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Very pretty, Shirley – love that daisy with the uber-gorgeous Pressed Petal DSP!! 🙂

  3. This is gorgeous, Shirley. You did a great job winging it with the cut. The scalloped edge really adds to it. I agree about the paper. Magnolia WAS my favorite!

  4. That paper looks 3 dimensional. Love the layout and your choice of background color! It really makes everything pop. Such a pretty card! So glad you joined us at Just Us Girls, please join us again soon!

  5. I love daisies too, Shirley! I bought one yesterday! This one is stunning! Thanks for joining our challenge at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week!
