Stampin’ Up! Country Home

Stampin’ Up! Country Home

Well here it is Monday and we had a delightful weekend. World Card Making Day is in the history books now. We had a fantastic time with team members from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew and Mary’s Critters ‘N Krew celebrating the day.  I hope you had the opportunity to see some of their presentations on card making.  There was an event from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and it was awesome.  Hopefully, another one will be planned before October 2020 when World Card Making Day occurs again.

Do you have stamp sets you have purchased and never used?  Well, I have many and it is time for me to start using them instead of relying on the 2-3 that have become ole standbys.

The stamp set I am using today is one I may have used once, so I am giving it a try.  It is Stampin’ Up! Country Home Stamp Set. This turned out to be a lovely card I think.

The challenge for today is with Sketch Saturday.

It looks all Christmasy because of the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler and Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce but it is a birthday card. I started with a Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock as the card base and then embossed an additional panel using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder instead of just embossing the card front.

I stamped the image in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and then colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in colors Light Crumb Cake, Light Cherry Cobbler and Light Shaded Spruce, Light Balmy Blue, Light Old Olive, and Light Mossy Meadow.  I used a fine tip black marker to make the dots on the art piece.

The art piece is cropped using dies from Stampin’ Up! Two different sizes were used.  I made a frame of Cherry Cobbler card stock to go around the art piece.  A strip of Stampin’ Up! Wrapped in Plaid is adhered across the center of the card and the art piece is popped over it.  A few sprigs of pine are cropped with one of the dies from the Stampin’ Up! In The Woods Dies.  Three pearls are scattered over the front of the card.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and the greeting on the card front is from the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.

My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope flap got a panel of the Wrapped in Plaid DSP adhered, cause Mary  Deatherage has taught us no “Neked” envelopes.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

A New Suite is Coming Soon!

It’s called the Christmas Time is Here Suite and it’s pretty amazing!  just look at that DSP, isn’t it gorgeous and here’s hoping the die fits the rose on the DSP! The dies do fit the roses on one of the panels of the DSP.  The dies fit perfectly.    This suite was used by several demonstrators October 5 during World Card Making Day and the cards were gorgeous.  You should see if you can find them on Pinterest, they are so beautiful.

We hope you’re ready to make this holiday season magical, because the Christmastime Is Here Suite is, well . . . available November 1! This exclusive, limited-time collection of festive, floral coordinating products has everything you need to share love, joy, and creativity this holiday season.  As a demonstrator, I am able to pre-order on October 1 so be watching for cards made from this Suite.

While you wait impatiently and excitedly, check out this video with some info about the Suite

    1. Thank you Julie, you are encouraging. The first piece I trashed because I thought it did not look the way I wanted. This was a 2nd try.
