Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose
The Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set makes a fabulous card with their beautiful flowers. I also use Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper.
My challenge for today is with Addicted to Stamps and More — their theme for this challenge is Die Cuts and Stencils.
Another of my challenges is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I choose Sparkle (the bling), Twine (that ties the card together), and flowers (the focal panel on card front).
The card base is Merry Merlot card stock with a panel of the same embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and used as the background panel for the card front.
- Cut a panel of Merry Merlot card stock 5-/2″ x 8-1/2″.
- Score at 1-1/4″ and 4-1/2″
- Turn to the 8-1/2″ side
- From the edge of the card stock come over 1/2″.
- Cut from the 1-1/4″ score line to the 4-1/2″ score line.
- Make the 1-1/4″ as a mountain fold and the 4-1/2″ as a valley fold.
Panels of Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper are cut and adhered to the panels as you can see in the photo. A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Polished Pink ink on a piece of Basic White card stock then fussy cut and adhered to the middle panel of the card. Flowers from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and adhered to a Basic White card stock cropped panel. The panel is adhered to the Awash In Beauty Designer Series panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using one of the square dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies. It is stenciled using a stencil (which maybe retired, I do not know the name), I used Balmy Blue ink and a Blender Brush to color the stencil. A rose from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set is stamped on a piece of Watercolor paper and watercolored using Polish Pink, Garden Green inks, and a Water Painter. The yellow flowers are colored using a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Marker. The rose is cropped using a die from the Cottage Rose Dies and popped onto the stenciled piece.
Before embossing the Merry Merlot card stock panel, I stamped a greeting from Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled White Embossing powder over it, and heat embossed the greeting. The embossed Merry Merlot card stock panel is adhered to the 1-1/4″ flap using Tear and Tape Adhesive. The art panel is then adhered to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment panel is stamped in Merry Merlot ink with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set. A rose is also stamped in the corner and watercolored using Polish Pink, Garden Green inks, and a Water Painter. The yellow flowers are colored using a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Marker. A 1/4″ strip of Awash In Beauty Designer Series Paper is adhered at the bottom using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
