Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets By My Side with Cottage Rose

Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets By My Side with Cottage Rose

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set, Cottage Rose stamp set, Framed Florets Dies, and Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper.  My cards are a CAS of one Mary Deatherage created several weeks ago.  You can find a tutorial and a short video showing how this card is made.  She made hers to be a holder for a Sticky Note pad.  I could never get it to work with the sticky notepads after several tries, so mine became cards instead.

Cut a piece of Soft Succulent card stock 3-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scoring at 4-1/4″ & 6-3/8″.  The score lines are folded in the same direction so as to create the easel.  Cut mats and Designer Series Paper 1/8″ smaller for both.  You can see this in the picture above.  I used Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, but you can use whatever Designer Series Paper you wish.

I cropped an oval from a piece of Basic White card stock using one of the oval dies from the Framed Florets Dies.  I fussy cut flowers from a panel of the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper.  I cropped a sprig from Soft Succulent card stock and leaves from Basic White card stock and from Gold Glimmer paper.  I cut a piece of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper matting it on a panel of Melon Mambo card stock.  I then adhered to the fold of the easel using Tear & Tape.

The flowers, leaves, and sprig are arranged around the oval and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Polished Pink Dots are scattered around the card front.  I used Wink of Stella on the flowers, though it does show up in the photos.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a Basic White card stock scrap, trimmed and adhered to the card front inside the oval.

This is a picture of the three cards I made using different patterns of Designer Series Paper from the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper.  It shows the sentiment that also serves as the stop for the easel.  The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock in Memento Black ink, fussy cut then matted on a piece of Melon Mambo card stock.  Stampin’ Dimensionals are added to the back and the piece is placed on the inside of the card to create the stop for the easel.

Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper adhered to the flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Double Pillar Card

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Double Pillar Card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set for the greeting.

My challenge for today is with Allsorts Challenge  — their theme for this challenge is make your own background and I made my own by stamping Mossy Meadow leaves on a panel of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper.

The card base is a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ Pear Pizzazz card stock.  On the long side score at 3/8″ 7/8″ 1-3/8″ and 1-7/8, 6-3/8″, 6-7/8″, 7-3/8″ and 7-7/8″.  Turn on the short side and cut at 2″.  This will become the second pillar that creates the bridge.  Fold on each score line and burnish with your bone folder.  On the 3/8″ score fold add Multipurpose Liquid Glue, folding at the second scored line fold down to the card base.  This will create the pillar.

A panel of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper is stamped with a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink.  Put it aside to be adhered later.  Flowers are fussy cut from a panel of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper and colored using Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Two flower pots are stamped using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geranium stamp set using Soft Suede ink.  They are cropped using a die from Geranium Dies.  They will be popped on the bridge using Stampin’ Dimensionals after the flowers are added to the pots.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die from Geranium Dies.

Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper.  Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set and Mossy Meadow ink, stamp the leaves randomly around the panel after you stamp the sentiment.  Adhere the panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Sun PrintsDesigner Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose

The Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set makes a fabulous card with their beautiful flowers. I also use Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper.

My challenge for today is with Addicted to Stamps and More — their theme for this challenge is Die Cuts and Stencils.

Another of my challenges is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  I choose Sparkle (the bling), Twine (that ties the card together), and flowers (the focal panel on card front).

The card base is Merry Merlot card stock with a panel of the same embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and used as the background panel for the card front.

  • Cut a panel of Merry Merlot card stock 5-/2″ x 8-1/2″.
  • Score at 1-1/4″ and 4-1/2″
  • Turn to the 8-1/2″ side
  • From the edge of the card stock come over 1/2″.
  • Cut from the 1-1/4″ score line to the 4-1/2″ score line.
  • Make the 1-1/4″ as a mountain fold and the 4-1/2″ as a valley fold.

Panels of Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper are cut and adhered to the panels as you can see in the photo.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Polished Pink ink on a piece of Basic White card stock then fussy cut and adhered to the middle panel of the card.  Flowers from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and adhered to a Basic White card stock cropped panel.  The panel is adhered to the Awash In Beauty Designer Series panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using one of the square dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It is stenciled using a stencil (which maybe retired, I do not know the name), I used Balmy Blue ink and a Blender Brush to color the stencil.  A rose from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set is stamped on a piece of Watercolor paper and watercolored using Polish Pink, Garden Green inks, and a Water Painter. The yellow flowers are colored using a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Marker. The rose is cropped using a die from the Cottage Rose Dies and popped onto the stenciled piece.

Before embossing the Merry Merlot card stock panel, I stamped a greeting from Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled White Embossing powder over it, and heat embossed the greeting.  The embossed Merry Merlot card stock panel is adhered to the 1-1/4″ flap using Tear and Tape Adhesive.   The art panel is then adhered to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment panel is stamped in Merry Merlot ink with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set.  A rose is also stamped in the corner and watercolored using Polish Pink, Garden Green inks, and a Water Painter. The yellow flowers are colored using a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Marker.  A 1/4″ strip of Awash In Beauty Designer Series Paper is adhered at the bottom using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Prints

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Prints

The card I am sharing today is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set for the sentiment, Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles for the greeting, Pretty Prints DSP for the background, and Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Print Dies for the wreath.

Inspiration for my card design is the challenge at the Global Design Project.

I decided to be different and let the Designer Series Paper be the card base.  I used a panel of the Blackberry Bliss from Pretty Prints DSP as the base.

I adhered a panel of the Pretty Prints DSP to a Basic White card stock mat, then adhered them to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cropped two wreaths from Basic White card stock using the wreath die from Nature’s Print Dies.  I adhered them together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped the wreath on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I colored a few Pearl Basic Jewels with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped them around the card front along with several white pearls.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Sending Dies.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A short piece of the Pretty Prints DSP is applied down the side of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Pretty Prints DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose

The card shared today is created using Abigail Rose DSP, a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set, a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set and Stampin’ Blends Markers in Petal Pink and Soft Succulent.

The card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″ Soft Suede card stock ( you can see in the photo above where to score and fold the card) with panels of Abigail Rose DSP in two different patterns adhered to the card front.  A greeting is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock, cropped using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies, and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flower pot is a piece of Early Espresso card stock embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder after creating the pot. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ of Early Espresso,  measure 1/2″ from each side of the bottom of the square, mark with a pencil, and trim from the top corners to the 1/2″ mark at the bottom to create the pot.  This example is from another post and the flower pot is embossed in the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

This is a flower pot easel card created using Abigail Rose DSP.  Score your Soft Suede 4-1/4″ x 11″ card stock at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″.  Fussy cut the flowers from the Abigail Rose DSP and color the flowers using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Petal Pink and Soft Succulent.  Adhere Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper to the card base. Two different patterns of the DSP are used.  Cards cuts will be at the end of this post.

At the score line fold this section up.  Adhere the flower pot just above the score line probably 1/2″ above. I used tear & tape but I would think other adhesives would work just as well.  Pop Stampin’ Dimensionals on the flowers, be sure to notice where you are adding them so you will not place in a spot that will cause your card to be sealed.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set is stamped in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and fussy cut.  It is adhered to the card to create the stop for your flower pot.

Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot are popped around the card front.  A bow is made using a length of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon.  It is popped on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Abigail Rose DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
