Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Wherever you live, I hope your Saturday was one of sunshine and fun, not gray skies and rain, rain, rain.  I feel for the people who have to work outside even if it is raining.  We need to thank them for their work.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Stamp Set along with the Mountain Air Stamp Set.   One of the sentiments is from the  Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set.  The others are from the A Good Man Stamp Set.

The challenge over at the Creative Creases Challenge is fun fold cards.  They are always fun to create.

The challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters has a theme for their current challenge of Water  –  Water – Water.  Since my card has water in it, I thought I should enter.

This is a screen fold card, so start with a panel of Seaside Spray card stock cut 5-1/2″ x 11″.  Score the panel at 2-3/4″ 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″  Fold the card and burnish really well.  This is the way it should look once folded.  Using a label punch of your choice, punch the card at the bottom to create feet so the card will stand.  Punch the first two at the same time, then use the punched panel as a guide for punch the other two panels.

Cut four Night of Navy card stock mats 2-1/2″ x 4-7/8″.  Stamp your artwork from Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Stamp Set using Smoky Slate for the mountains. Stamp the mountains using full-strength ink, then will be like stamping off once time.  Move your stamp up a little and stamp again. This will give you a faint shadow behind the mountains.  Continue across the 5-3/8 x 11″ panel until you have mountains across the entire panel.  Next stamp the trees using Garden Green ink.  I masked the bottom of this stamp so it would not show up on the panel.  You can use a piece of Washy Tape for this masking.  Next stamp the waves image from the High Tide Stamp Set in Seaside Spray on the two middle panels.  Using a Blending Brush and Seaside Spray ink color the sky and the bottom portion over the waves.  Also two panels are colored with no waves.  Use Crumb Cake ink to create the sand.

Stamp in Tuxedo Memento Black ink the man in the chair image that comes with the A Good Man Stamp Set.  Let the image dry well, after drying, color using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Highland Heather, Crumb Cake, and Seaside Spray ink.  Fussy cut the man and pop on the front panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

You can see that this card will fit a regular size envelope. As the card when folded is narrow, you may want to add a panel of card stock to the envelope to even the card out.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!
