Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Wherever you live, I hope your Saturday was one of sunshine and fun, not gray skies and rain, rain, rain.  I feel for the people who have to work outside even if it is raining.  We need to thank them for their work.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Stamp Set along with the Mountain Air Stamp Set.   One of the sentiments is from the  Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set.  The others are from the A Good Man Stamp Set.

The challenge over at the Creative Creases Challenge is fun fold cards.  They are always fun to create.

The challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters has a theme for their current challenge of Water  –  Water – Water.  Since my card has water in it, I thought I should enter.

This is a screen fold card, so start with a panel of Seaside Spray card stock cut 5-1/2″ x 11″.  Score the panel at 2-3/4″ 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″  Fold the card and burnish really well.  This is the way it should look once folded.  Using a label punch of your choice, punch the card at the bottom to create feet so the card will stand.  Punch the first two at the same time, then use the punched panel as a guide for punch the other two panels.

Cut four Night of Navy card stock mats 2-1/2″ x 4-7/8″.  Stamp your artwork from Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Stamp Set using Smoky Slate for the mountains. Stamp the mountains using full-strength ink, then will be like stamping off once time.  Move your stamp up a little and stamp again. This will give you a faint shadow behind the mountains.  Continue across the 5-3/8 x 11″ panel until you have mountains across the entire panel.  Next stamp the trees using Garden Green ink.  I masked the bottom of this stamp so it would not show up on the panel.  You can use a piece of Washy Tape for this masking.  Next stamp the waves image from the High Tide Stamp Set in Seaside Spray on the two middle panels.  Using a Blending Brush and Seaside Spray ink color the sky and the bottom portion over the waves.  Also two panels are colored with no waves.  Use Crumb Cake ink to create the sand.

Stamp in Tuxedo Memento Black ink the man in the chair image that comes with the A Good Man Stamp Set.  Let the image dry well, after drying, color using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Highland Heather, Crumb Cake, and Seaside Spray ink.  Fussy cut the man and pop on the front panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

You can see that this card will fit a regular size envelope. As the card when folded is narrow, you may want to add a panel of card stock to the envelope to even the card out.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Thank you to all the people who follow my blog.  I truly appreciate you!

My card today is created using the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set and  Stampin’ Up! Waterfront stamp set.  Waterfront is a stamp set I have had for a long, long time, but today is the first use.  I have others that hopefully, I will get to before they retire in June 2020.

I am playing along at these challenges today. My first list is Hand Stamped Sentiments #316 My card is a bit different than all the flowers and I sure hope I was not supposed to include them.  I did do all the colors that’s where the inspiration for the sky, moon, palm tree that is small I know, and the ocean.  If I am disqualified then I will just play again another day.

And… Always Fun Challenges

And…  the Crafty Catz Challenge

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock.  The card base is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Seaside TIEF, which I must have overlooked as retired when I pulled retired products.  Did not realize it until I started writing this. My card is a sweet little card with a dad and his little girl looking out at the ocean one last time for the day.  She has her sleepy head on his shoulder as dad looks at palm trees in the distance.  Doesn’t it make you yearn for the beach?

The art piece is Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Paper.  I have used Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray, Highland Heather, Mossy Meadow inks to create the sky and the ocean.  Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink was used for the sand.  The distant palm tree is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake inks.  The moon was stamped in Stampin’ Up! So Saffron ink using the moon from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront stamp set.  The art piece has a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock mat.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set and the Well Said stamp set

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the ocean theme of the card.  I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage with Let It Ride

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage with Let It Ride

My card today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage and Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride stamp sets.  We think of these two sets as masculine, but I know many ladies who can work on cars and love their horses.  Two friends come to mind at the moment who are horse enthusiasts and love their horses.  I have a wonderful, lovely picture of one with her horse when she was younger.  It will bring tears to my eyes when I see it.  It is such a sweet picture of the two and shows how much they love and trust each other.

My challenge for the day is Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

There is a card base of Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock with two mats in two different sizes.  The art piece is a combination of the two stamp set I am using today.  They are Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride and Stampin’ Up Geared Up Garage stamp sets. The art piece is stamped in several colors, Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz inks for the trees.  The horses and car are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and then colored. I used Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake for the horses and Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Light Bermuda Bay Markers for the car.  The greetings on the front are from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride and Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage stamp sets.  The sky is colored lightly with a Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Watercolor Pencil.

I made two sentiments for the inside so that the person I was making this for could choose whether it should be a birthday or Father’s Day card.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the art panel on the card front.  I  stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride stamp set on the front of the envelope and gave the same to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

My card today is created using the Stampin’ Up Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.  This is a simple card to make #simplestamping.  Really there is no stamping to it.  We learned it all in kindergarten, cut and paste!

The challenge I am playing along with today is Sketch Saturday

The card is put together using either Liquid Glue, Glue Dots or Stampin’ Up! Stampin Dimensionals.  The greeting panel is popped on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is created using the stickers in the  Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.

The card from the card pack is adhered using Liquid Glue and the stickers one in the middle of the compass and the other just a bit below.

To finish my card I decorated a  Very Vanilla Envelope so it will coordinate with the background panel on the card front.  I popped the sticker images from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card set on the front of the envelope.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

I am giving you a Sneak Peek as I use the new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set (available to customers on June 4) to create my card for today.  It was a very easy card and took little time to create.  So if you need a quick card give this one a try when you purchase the bundle on June 4.

I am playing along at the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge for today.

And…  The Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge for the week.  This week’s challenge is titled  “Make  Your  Mark”.

And…Watercooler Wednesday

WWC222 – Helen’s “All About Occasions” Challenge

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock base.  There are three mats, one being used as the background mat.  I used Stampin’ Up! Whisper White and Night of Navy card stock for the first two mats.  From the center of these two mats, the panel for the art piece and the mat for the art piece is cut.  By cutting these two panels from the center of two mats that the center will never be seen, you are conserving card stock, plus the weight of the card as this will eliminate two additional pieces of card stock being added to the card.  The first two mats and the background panel cut from the new Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (DSP) (available June 4 to customers) are adhered using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

The art panel is watercolored using the Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue watercolor pencil and a Stampin’ Up! Aqua Painter.  After the watercolor dries, the sailboat image from the new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The sailboat is colored using the  Stampin’ Up! Real Red watercolor pencil and the Aqua Painter. The rope across the top of the art piece is from the new Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set (carrying over to the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog) is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Real Red ink.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  The sentiments are from the Stampin’ Up!  Strong and Beautiful and  Stampin’ Up! Well Said stamp sets.

The envelope flap gets a panel of the Come Sail Away DSP adhered to it using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  May your day be blessed!
