Peaceful Poinsetta

Peaceful Poinsetta

Welcome! Happy you stopped by.  Today’s card is created using the Peaceful Poinsetta stamp set.  I love coloring (guess I am still a little girl at heart), so this was a fun card to create.

My inspiration comes from the Paper Players Challenge for this week.

The card starts with a base of Call Me Clover card stock, cut 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″.  The mat is Real Red and is cut 4″ x 5-1/4″.  It is popped on the card base using Stampin Dimensionals  after the art piece is adhered using Multipurpose Glue.

The art piece was stamped on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock  using the Peaceful Poinsetta stamp set and Memento Black Ink.   Stampin’ Blend pens in Real Red,  Call Me Clover and Daffodil Delight were used to color the art piece.  Basic Jewel Rhinestones were colored with the Real Red Stampin Blend pen and then popped on the art piece.  The Happy Birthday greeting is from a Thinlits Die.  It was cut then glued back to the negative space left.  Some of the cuts were popped out to reveal the Real Red mat behind.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White — cut 5″ x 3-3/4″ that has  been  adhered to a Real Red mat, cut 5-1/4″ x 4″ using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   The holly art is stamped in Memento Black Ink and then colored using Stampin Blend pens in Real Red and Call Me Clover.

That’s it for today.  My hope is that you like the card, found encouragement and inspiration for your own creations and that you will visit again.  Have a great Thursday.
