Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers with Tasteful Touches

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers with Tasteful Touches

The card I am sharing today is created using one of the same stamps I used yesterday, the Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Touches Stamp Set.  I am also using the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set for the greeting.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Ch1allenge is the inspiration for my design today.

You can see fom the challenge sketch, it shows two different card stocks or designs, so I decided to use one panel of card stock to create both.  I stamped the flowers first, using Pale Papya and Fresh Freesia inks and Old Olive ink for the sprigs.

The top portion of the Basic White card stock panel is embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3-D Embossing Folder.  Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is wrapped around the Basic White panel three times at the section between the embossing and the flowers then tied into a bow.  Three pears from the Pastel Pearls are popped on the card front.

Sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts and In Your Words Stamps Sets are stamped in Fresh Freesia ink on the Basic White Panel.  Flowers are stamped in each corner using Fresh Freesia and Pale Papya inks.  The panel is then adhered to the card base.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a flower, that matches the card front, stamped to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Love You Friend

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Love You Friend

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Stamp Set along with the Scalloped Contour Dies,  the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, and the Timber Embossing Folder.

My inspiration for today’s card design is coming from the Just Us Girls Challenge. The theme is black and white.  I believe everyone loves black and white cards, I know I do.

The card base is Basic White card stock embossed using the Timber 3-D Embossing Folder.  Usually, I will emboss a separate panel instead of actually embossing the card base.

A panel of Basic Black card stock is cropped using the largest Scalloped Contour Dies.  It is then embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3-D Embossing Folder.  This panel is popped over the card base using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A flower from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A greeting from the same stamp set is also stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  Several Matt Black Dots are scattered randomly around the card front.

A sentiment from the Shaded Summer Stamp set along with the same flower from the card front is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of DSP adhered to the envelope flap.  Did not realize it was not current until I got to this point in my blog.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Strong and Beautiful Detailed with Love

Strong and Beautiful Detailed with Love

My card today is created using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Strong and Beautiful and Detailed with Love stamp sets.

My inspiration today is from the As You See It Challenge–the challenge is Starburst and Lace.

And…

This card is a really easy and simple card.  The card base is from Smokey Slate card stock with a Blushing Bride mat for the focal panel of flowers from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP).

A length of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the focal panel and mat and tied in a bow.  Using the Delicate Lace Edgelits a piece is cut to add a bit of lacy edging to the bottom of the floral focal panel.  Seems I have used this  DSP a lot this week.OK

The greeting is stamped in Smokey Slate on a circle of Whisper White card stock that is matted with another circle that is cut from Smokey Slate card stock.  It is popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three  Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins are added to the greeting on the card front.

A floral panel is cut from the Petal Promenade DSP and the sentiment is stamped in Smokey Slate ink.  The sentiment is from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set and is adhered with Liquid Glue to the Blushing Bride mat which is then adhered to the Smokey Slate card base.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope you love my card as much as I loved making it.  Have a blessed day!

Geared Up Garage

Geared Up Garage

I’m typing this after previewing my card for the first time.  I tried the new Gutenberg Editor today.  Thought I might as well give it a try.  I like some parts of it but the one I haven’t mastered is the code for the stamps used for creating the card.  Since I didn’t know how to do that I switched back to Classic Editor, I was surprised when I previewed the site again, because what I had done in Gutenberg was still there.  I had thought it would all revert to Classic so guess you can use both Gutenberg and Classic in the same post.    Have a great day!

My card today is created using the Geared Up Garage stamp set.

The card starts with a Basic Black card base.

The inspiration today comes from the Double D Challenge Looking Back In Time.

Two panels were cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock as mats. 1-1/2″ x 4-1/2″.

Two panels are cut, one from Tranquil Tide card stock and the other from a piece of the 6 x 6 Classic Garage DSP. 1-3/8″ x 4-3/8″
These panels are adhered using Liquid Glue and then adhered to the Basic Black card base.
The car was fussy cut from a panel of the 6″ x 6″ Classic Garage DSP and popped on with Stampin Dimensionals.

That’s it for the card front, now on to the inside sentiment.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Memento Black Ink on a 3-5/8″ x 1-3/8″ panel using a stamp from the Cake Soiree stamp set. It is adhered to a
3-3/4″ x 5″ panel from the Classic Garage DSP that has been matted on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Pumpkin Pie card stock.

That’s my card for today, I hope you found encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.

It’s A Happy Day with Lovely Lattice

It’s A Happy Day with Lovely Lattice

I hope it is warm where you are today.  It is extremely cold for Georgia I think.  Too cold to venture outside, so it is a good day for card making.  Come join me!  We can make this card together using the beautiful Lovely Lattice stamp set, free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.

The inspiration for today comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge.  At first, I thought can I do this with these colors and I want to thank you for using them.  It was fun to see what I could do, especially with the Fresh Fig.

Loved creating this card, guess I am a kindergartener at heart.  I love coloring.  The card has a Whisper White card base with a Petal Pink mat for the art piece.  The Petal Pink mat has been embossed using the Subtle TIEF.  If you are still undecided about getting the Subtle embossing folder, go for it, it gives so much texture to a card and makes a world of difference in the way your card will look.  It is on page 223 of the Annual catalog.  I know we are all excited about the Occasions catalog but there are still great products in the Annual catalog also.

The mat is popped on the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The beautiful flowers from the Lovely Lattice stamp set are stamped on a panel of White White card stock using Memento Black Ink.  The flowers are watercolored using Fresh Fig and Mossy Meadow stamp pads.  You can see here how I did it.  You press the stamp pad so that ink will go into the lid and then with an Aqua Painter you add water as need.

That is the reason I was so amazed at how the color of Fresh Fig turned out.  I had thought it would be dark for flowers but you can see from the card that it turned into a beautiful color by adding the water.  The Mossy Meadow ink color turned to a beautiful green after adding just a bit of water, you can see that also on the card. The decorative lattice piece on the right side is from the Petals and More Thinlits Dies set.  It is adhered using Liquid Glue.  Three Pearl Basic Jewels are popped on the art panel and finally, the art panel is popped on the Petal Pink mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting stamped in Fresh Fig ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock is from the Itty Bitty stamp set and was cut out the shape of the stamp.

The inside sentiment panel is stamped on  Whisper White card stock in Fresh Fig ink using sentiments from Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set. This Whisper White panel is adhered onto a panel of Petal Pink card stock and then onto the Whisper White card base.

Well, that is it for today! Come back tomorrow to see the latest creation.  I hope you like this one and it gives you encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.
