Stampin’ Up! Flowering Foils
Hello everyone, it looks like it will be another soggy day in Georgia! Don’t you just love me giving the weather forecast?
The card today is created using the Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper, a product of the 2nd release of Sale-A-Bration, Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set. This card is similar to one I have made recently, someone wanted to know what it would look like if it had a black card base and the colors I have used. Now we know!
My inspiration for today comes from the Joy of Sets Challenge. I chose watercolor, embossing, and floral.
Start with a Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock base, add a panel of the same card stock embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Stone 3D Embossing Folder matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock. Adhere to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
One focal panel is cut from Stampin’ Up! 6″ x 6″ 2018-2020 Incolor Designer Series Paper and the other is cut from Stampin’ Up! Old Olive card stock that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Craft Inkpad is lightly rubbed over the embossing so the scripty embossing will show up more. They are both matted on a Whisper White mat. The Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Die is used to crop the label panel for the greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set and for the flower to be popped onto. Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Stampin’ Up! Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Marker then popped on the label.
The blossom is watercolored using Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lipstick and Old Olive Classic Stamp Pads and an Aqua Painter. Drag your stamp pads over a piece of aluminum foil and add water from your Aqua Painter. I have found this the easiest method when watercoloring. I have also used a mirror to do the same. I even colored a length of the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Polka Tulle Ribbon, you can see it behind the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Baker’s Twine wrapped around the card. A triple loop bow is made and popped on the blossom using a Stampin’ Up! Glue Dot.
The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lipstick ink on a Whisper White panel. Blossoms from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper are watercolored along with the blossom on the card front.
