Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets – Just A Little Reminder…

Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets – Just A Little Reminder…

I hope everyone is having a beautiful Fall weekend wherever you may live and that members of our CNCK and AIK are having a fun stampin’ weekend retreat in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia.  It is certainly a beautiful time to be enjoying the beauty God created for us to enjoy. I can’t wait to see all the beautiful cards being created at this retreat.  Have a great weekend everyone.  I believe I saw on the weather that there is snow (much too soon) in some states so I know it is cold.  I love Fall when the weather is perfect here in Georgia.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets stamp set along with Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper.

This is the stamp set and Designer Series Paper used in creating my card.  It is available for demonstrators to pre-order until November 1, 2022, when it will be available for customers to purchase.  The stamp set and dies will carry over to the 2023 January-June Mini Catalog.

I am entering the Seize the Birthday Challenge as my card is for a birthday.

I am going to list the card cuts first so you will know how to put the card together.

  • Night of Navy card stock
    • card base — 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ scored & folded at 4-1/4″
    • flap — 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ scored at 1″
  • Balmy Blue card stock
    • front mat & inside front – 2-1/2″ x 5-3/8″ cut 2
    • flap outside & inside side — 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
    • inside sentiment panel mat — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Fitting Floral Designer Series Paper
    • card front & inside — 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″
    • flap inside — 2-3/4 x 3-3/4″
  • Basic White card stock
    • front art panel — 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
    • inside sentiment panel — 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″

On the Basic White pieces stamp flowers from Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets stamp set. On the one for the front panel stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets stamp set on the piece for the inside stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set.  The inside Basic White piece is also cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies. The dots around the flowers are from Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and stamped in Memento Black ink, stamped off once.

Adhere adhesive (I used Tear & Tape) to the 1″ flat of the 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and center it on the Balmy Blue card stock mat that is in the middle section of the card and measures 4-18″ x 5-/8″.  Add a  length of ribbon to the card base before adding the flap and Balmy Blue mat to the card base. Add the Balmy Blue mat to the inside and outside of the now 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4 Night of Navy flap. Adhere the 2-1/2″ x 5-3/8″ Balmy Blue mats to the front fold and inside of the front fold. Add the Framed Florets Designer Series Paper over each mat except the middle section and the outside of the Night of Navy flap.  These two sections get Basic White layers for the art piece and the sentiment inside.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Framed Florets Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

The card I am sharing today is created using a number of Stampin’ Up! products. Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set for the sentiment by the sunflower inside.   Peaceful Moments stamp set is used for the greeting on the card front.  Flowers from Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is fussy cut from a panel of the Designer Series Paper.  A sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set is used for the sentiment in the Fun Fold portion.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base, embossing a panel of the same using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  The panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A piece of Designer Series Paper from Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is adhered across the bottom of the embossed panel.  The fussy cut flowers from Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is popped over the piece of DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes.

Two panels of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is adhered to the inside panels.  Using a die from Sunshine Dies several sunflowers are cropped from So Saffron, Vellum, Cajun Craze, and Daffodil Delight card stock.  They are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  You can see them in the photo above. Leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on MOssy Meadow card stock and Vellum, then fussy cut and adhered with a Cajun Craze twig to the sunflower.

Two pieces of Early Espresso card stock are cut, scored and adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It is then adhered to the back of the sunflower as the mechanism to make the sunflower pop up when the card is opened.

This is the back side of the Fun Fold.  It is created using Mossy Meadow card stock. Flowers once again are fussy cut from Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and adhered to the card front over a strip of a different design of the Designer Series Paper.

Sentiments are stamped in Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A  sunflower is stamped in Cajun Craze ink.   The center is So Saffron ink. I used the sunflower stamp from the August Paper Pumpkin Sweet Sunflower.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! By My Side Sweet Friend Card

Stampin’ Up! By My Side Sweet Friend Card

The card I am sharing today is a fun fold. I used the August Paper Pumpkin stamp set and the Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set.

I am entering the Cardz 4 Galz Challenge for today.  Their theme is Anything Goes.

My card is a case of Lisa Curico’s Angled Tri-Fold.  Click on her name and it will take you to her video showing how the card is made.  I started with a Mossy Meadow card stock card base.  I used two envelopes from the August Paper Pumpkin Sweet Sunflowers as my Designer Series Paper.

I used the sunflower stamp from the August Paper Pumpkin Sweet Sunflowers to create my sunflowers.  I first stamped them using Stazon Ink. I let it dry well before water coloring using Blackberry Bliss ink and a Water Painter. I stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink and then colored using a Granny Apple Green and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The sunflowers centers are stamped using So Saffron ink.

This is the first fold open.  This sentiment comes from the Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set.  It is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.

I stamped the twigs on the edge of the Basic White card stock panel in Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss ink.  I then adhered the flap of an envelope from one of the envelopes in the August Paper Pumpkin Sweet Sunflowers. The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set.

A medium Basic White envelope gets twigs stamped in Mossy Meadow ink to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Thinking of You

I started out making a card with the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set, but there was a flaw in two of the stamps and they would not take the ink so up pops Lisa’s card, what a blessing.

So, the card I am sharing today is created using the Wonderful World DSP, too bad it will retire on August 31 for many but I will continue to use mine, just not blog it.  This card is a CAS(E) of Lisa Bernard’s card.  It popped up in my feed so I had to check it out and here it is.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge for today.

Start with a Highland Heather card stock card base.  This is a landscape card and also a fun fold.  I believe Lisa called it a Spanner card.  Score and fold the card.  Cut 1-1/4″ in from each side of the card front.  A window sheet will be adhered to these two pieces to give you a see-through effect.   The middle section becomes part of the fun fold.  The window sheet is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Fussy cut the Iris from the panel of Wonderful World Designer Series Paper.  It will be popped on the card front after all the other pieces are adhered.

Cut six mats 1-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ from Old Olive card stock.  Adhered to the 1-1/4″ strips on each side and on the inside.  You can see the diagram above of how the card looks inside.  Cut two mats 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″, one for the middle section and the other for the inside sentiment panel.

Cut the following pieces from  Regal 6″ x 6″  Designer Series Paper. Cut six 1″ x 4″ strips. Adhere over Old Olive card stock. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Highland Heather from the Subtle 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink, fussy cut, and cut the two lines apart.  Pop the top part of the greeting at the top of the card front and the other half at the bottom of the middle panel. Adhere the Iris to the card front. Pop three Pearl Basic Jewels colored with a Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Marker.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and the panel is adhered to the Old Olive mat and then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  One of the small Iris from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Regal 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Delivery Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Delivery Christmas Card

My card I am sharing today is a side step card and is created using Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Delivery stamp set and the Santa Train Dies, along with the Santa Express Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Since Addicted to Stamps and More has the theme of Any Occasion, I am entering, as my card is an occasion that comes in December each year.

I am entering the As You See It Challenge.  Their theme is Christmas in July and give your favorite reason. My favorite Christmas in July is making Christmas cards to get ahead of the game since I am so slow.  I love making cards for children, especially fun fold ones, they are always astonished at the cards.

My card base is from a package of Side Step card bases I have had since I became a Stampin’ Up! customer.  I remember those days, I could not cut the card correctly so I purchased a package to make it easier, well you know how that goes, I put them in the cabinet forgot them and in unpacking a box of SU products that has been in storage for the past two years, I found them and thought why not use.  I’ve made side step cards before, but not using these already cut ones, so guess what I found out to my horror when I went to put the pieces together, the pieces I had cut were smaller than the card base so I had to measure and cut again.  In making my regular side step cards, I pull out my diagram and cut. Lesson learned, measure a bought card base before you cut.

I will give measurements for a regular side step at the end of my post.

This is how the card looks when it is opened up more.  As you can see my card base is white.  I have used Real Red and Shaded Spruce card stock as the mats.  I fussy cut the Santa and train car from a panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper.  I thought I would try the Designer Series Paper before I used the stamps to stamp and color Santa and the train card.  I did stamp and color the tree on the train card and the penguins from the Stampin’ Up! Santa Delivery stamp set.  I colored the tree using Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The train track is cropped from a piece of Soft Suede card stock and adhered under the train wheels with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I used a panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper to create a background.  I colored the penguins using a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The penguins are popped around the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give them a bit of dimension.  I cropped trees from  Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green card stock using the Tree Lot Dies.  A greeting from the stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and fussy cut.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper applied to envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This is one of the envelopes that come with the side step kit.
