Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnias

Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnias

My card today that I am sharing is created using one of the new Online Exclusives available in March for customers.  I also, use Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set and Embossing Folder, a free Sale-a-Bration item.

  1. Start with a Basic White cardstock card base.
  2. Add a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  3. Next, add a Basic White cardstock panel that has been embossed using the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder, adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It shows up as a half  panel.
  4. Cut a panel of Sunny Day Designer Series Paper and cut it at an angle. See photo about for how it was cut.
  5. Stamp a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set in Memento Black in on a Basic White panel.
  6. Color the flowers and leaves using Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
  7. Color the white area around the zinnias in the area where it is placed over the Softly Sophisticated Designer Series Paper so there is not blaring white when you look at the card.
  8. There is a die for the flowers but I fussy cut as I wanted it cut closer.
  9. Cut a thin strip of Basic Black cardstock and a thin strip from a panel of Sunny Days Designer Series Paper.
  10. Add the strips across the card from covering the area there the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper and the Basic White cardstock panel meet. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue as the adhesive.
  11. Pop the zinnias over the two thin strips using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  12. Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  13. Flag one end of the greeting.
  14. Pop the greeting over the stem of the zinnias using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  15. Pop three Rhinestone Basic Jewels that have been colored using a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
  16.  On a Basic White cardstock panel stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Memento Black ink.
  17. Stamp a portion of the same stamp used for the card front in the lower right corner of the panel using Memento Black ink.
  18. Color the zinnias using the same colors as the ones on the card front.
  19. Using Memento Black ink stamped off twice stamp dots using a dot stamp from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.
  20. Stamp in Memento Black ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.  Stamp the sentiment by the zinnias.
  21. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Poppy Parade cardstock mat, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  22. Adhere two Rhinestone Basic Jewels that have been colored using a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends
  23. Adhere a panel of Sunny Days Designer Series Paper the flap of a Basic White envelope flap.

These are the challenges I am entering for this card.

Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around

Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around

This was a fun card to create.  It is also a fun fold Z fold.  The Just  Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper made for a fun creating.  I also used the Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set.

My card base is Pool Party card stock. As this is a Z-fold card, I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of card stock, scoring at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.  Fold the card as you would a regular card, then fold into a mountain fold. It will be mountain fold for the first fold and the regular fold is a valley fold.  I used Pretty Peacock card stock to create the mats for the Just  Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper.  You can find the card cuts at the end of this post.  In the package of  Just Kiddin’  Designer Series Paper there are 2 pieces of the Designer Series Paper that can be cut into sections to create a scene.  I used two of the sections to create my card.

A castle is die cut from another pattern of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, two others are cut from Smoky Slate card stock.  The three are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhered to the third panel where the sentiment is stamped on the Basic White panel in Pretty Peacock ink. A flag is die cut  three times using Kiddin’ Around Dies. They are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then colored using Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.

One of the kids from the Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and popped on the panel in front of the castle.  The boy’s hat,  some of the books, the flags at the top of each panel, the dragon’s tongue, the  blocks on the top shelf of the book case and the apple on the trees are brushed with Wink of Stella.

This is another view of the card.  I stamped the girl from Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set in Memento Black and colored using Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade, Tahitian Tide, Crumb Cake  Stampin’ Blends Markers and one of the Blends for flesh color.  I then die cut the girl and popped her on the stool that has been die cut from a piece of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (free during Sale-a-Bration with qualifying order).

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Kiddin’ Around stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock in Pretty Peacock ink.  It is matted on a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock and adhered to the card front. Only half of the panel has Multipurpose Liquid Glue applied.  If it was applied to the entire piece, it would glue the panel to the card and it could not be opened.  Stars are die cut from pieces of Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper and popped around the greeting panel.

This is the back of the card for space for writing a note or just signing your card.  Another scene is created on the left panel.  The boy and girl are fussy cut from a panel of Just Kiddin’  Designer Series Paper.

The belly band is a piece of Pool Party card stock with a piece of Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper over it.  A boy and girl are fussy cut from a panel of the Designer Series Paper and popped on the front of the belly band.  Iridescent Rhinestones are popped in the corners.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Thinking of Your

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Thinking of Your

I am again using the stack, cut, shuffle technique with Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper and Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set and  Meadow Dies.  It made a bright and cheery card.

Flowers are die cut using Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper and Meadow Dies.  I believe the white sprig with berries is from Magical Meadow Dies.  The greeting is stamped on a scrap of Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper using Versa Mark ink and White embossing powder.  It is then die cut using a die from Meadow Dies.  The greeting is popped over the loops of Basic White twine from Basic Twine Essential Pack using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The gems are Calypso Coral ones from a card that was part of a Paper Share sometime ago.  Click on this link and you can see Mary Deatherage’s layout for cutting the stack, cut, shuffle pieces.

After the pieces are cut, use Lost Lagoon card stock as the mat to adhere the pieces.  A tiny border is left between the pieces and the edge.  After all the piece are adhered, then you can adhere the Lost Lagoon piece to the card base using Multipurpose liquid Glue.

A panel of Very Vanilla card stock is matted to a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock. Using a die from Deckled Rectangle Dies cut a frame for the Very Vanilla card stock and adhered over the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This panel can now be adhered to the Very Vanilla card base.

A Basic White medium envelope get a piece of Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends — Thinking of You

This cute card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set.  I consider it a sister to Stampin’ Up! In The Moment stamp set.  I used a panel of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper and All About Autumn Designer Series Paper.

I am entering Can You Handle The Pressure? Challenge for this card.

The card base is Blueberry Bushel card stock with a Basic White card stock mat for the Blueberry Bushel card stock panel embossed using Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  This panel becomes the background for the focal piece.  A piece of All About Autumn is added at the bottom of the panel to give the impression of the girls sitting on the back of a sofa as she looks out the window.  Birds and dragonflies are popped around the card front.

I die cut the window using a long, long retired window die.  You could very easily make a window using your paper trimmer and a piece of Basic White card stock 2-1/2″ x 3″ and die cutting the window panes on the piece.  I cut a 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper adhering it to the back side of the window so the girl is looking at a beautiful scene as she looks out the window.  The girl is stamped in Crumb Cake ink and colored using Crumb Cake (for hair), Granny Apple Green (for shirt), Balmy Blue(for jeans), and Melon Mambo (for flip flops and coffee mug) Stampin’ Blends.  The greeting is stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and die cut using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  It is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 2023-2025 In Color Dots are popped around the card front also.

The other half of the panel from the card front has a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink stamped on the panel and adhered to  Basic White and Blueberry Bushel mats before being adhered to the card base using Multipurpose.  I know you are thinking where do I write a message and sign.  No worries see below.

A panel of Basic White card stock is adhered to the back of the card to enable a message being written and for signing.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of  Blueberry Bushel card stock that has been embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder applied to the envelope flap using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Earthen Textures —

Stampin’ Up! Earthen Textures —

I just discovered that my post for two days ago did not get posted.  This is the second time in two weeks I have forgotten to post.  Do you think I have brain over-load?  So my card that was to be for today will just wait until tomorrow.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Earthen Texture stamp set and Dies.  I also used Timeworn Tile 3D Embossing Folder and Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

You can see all the directions for making this card on another of my blog post

This card would be a good birthday card for men.  This is how the card looks when it is opened.   The XX are die cut from Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper.    Two of the pots are also cut from pieces of the same designer series Paper. The sprigs in the pots is die cut from Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon card stock.  One of the sprigs is from the designer series paper.

I am entering Creative Creases Challenge for this card. Their challenges are always Fun Fold.

The piece that has the  greeting stamped on it is also a piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper.  The greeting is stamped in Crumb Cake ink as are the bushes on the piece.

Blackberry Bliss card stock is cut into 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ for the seven little squares.

As this is a square card, I do not have an envelope yet.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know y as ou can always contact me.
