Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia — Thinking of You

CASed from  Terry Lynn Bright, a team member who  demonstrated her card at our Team Meeting this month, so there is no link to visit her blog but you can see Mary Deatherage’s, she also CASed it but gives great instructions on her blog. My card is a combination of the two.  Mary gives very good instructions for creating and even a diagram of how to cut the fun fold.  I will show you several photos of my card but I suggest if you want to create your own to go to click on Mary’s name above and go to her blog.

Challenges for this card.

Pammie’s Inky Pinkies

Avenue 13     The front of my card is a diamond shape.

Make My Monday

I used Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set and Dies to create this card I am sharing today.  This stamp set is an online exclusive.  You can order this stamp set by clicking on the online exclusive link.

This is how the card looks when it is opened.

A Basic White envelope get a panel of Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow/Painted Lavender

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow/Painted Lavender

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set and Dies and Painted Lavender Dies, Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set. I also use Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.  I couldn’t decide which I liked better, the flower or the sprig so I made a card with each.

I am joining the Sunday Stamp Challenge for this card.

Start with a Gorgeous Grape cardstock card base.  Add a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock. Cut a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper adding the piece over the Pretty Peacock piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut two pieces of Pretty Peacock cardstock and two pieces of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  Measurements are at the end of the post.  Die cut the flower from Quiet Meadow Dies  and the sprig from Painted Lavender Dies using Basic White cardstock.  Cut two pieces of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. You can see in the above photo how the two are matted. A bow is made using Linen Thread and popped behind the greeting from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set that is stamped in Memento Black ink for one and Pretty Peacock for the other.  One of the greeting is die cut using a die from Quiet Meadow DiesPurple Fine Shimmer Gems are popped around the card front.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock.    I stamped a good amount of sentiments using these two stamp sets, so I would have them ready for any occasion so cards made for a few days will be having the same inside sentiment.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper adhered  to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set and Dies is used today to create the card I am sharing with you.  I also used Stampin’ Up! Beach Days stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set.  I also used the large die from Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora Dies to create the background piece for this card.

  1. Start with a Bubble Bath card stock card base.
  2. Cut another panel of Bubble Bath cardstock
  3. Die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using a die from Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora Dies.
  4. Stamp the flower image from Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  5. Color the flower image using Bubble Bath and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
  6. Die cut leaves from a piece of Garden Green cardstock using dies from Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty Dies.

  13. Pop the greeting over a double loop bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  14. Adhere the card front to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, making sure to only put glue on half of the panel. See photo.
  15. On a panel of Basic White cardstock stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set and Stampin Up! Lazy Days stamp set.
  16. Stamp a flower from Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set in the lower right corner of the sentiment panel.
  17. Color using the same colors as on the card front.
  18. Stamp another flower and color the same as the card front.

  21. Emboss a panel of Basic White cardstock using an embossing folder of choice.
  22. Adhere the embossed panel to a Basic White envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  23. Cut two pieces of Basic White cardstock for the back of the card.  This gives extra space for writing.
  24. Die cut two leaves and two flowers and adhere to the corners of each panel.

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Forest — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Forest — Thinking of You

The card I am sharing is created using Stampin’ Up! Delicate Forest stamp set and Dies.  This card is a CAS of Karen Ksenzahovic .  By clicking on her name you will be able to go to her blog and see how she created this card.  I had thought of this design as I am sure others have, but Karen made it first so she needs the credit for it.  I also used Meadering Meadow Designer Series Paper, and a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set.

This is the challenge I am entering for this card.

Creative Creases Challenge

Using a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock die cut with the die you see in the above photo on the left.  This die cut piece adheres to the left edge of the 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ card base that has been scored at 4-1/4″ using Tear & Tape or adhesive of your choice.

Adhere  a piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper to the left side of the card base. the card will open on the left instead of the regular right side.  There will also be a panel of the same adhered to the inside of this panel. You can see that in the photo above this one.

Foliage is die cut from pieces of Granny Apple Green and Old Olive cardstock and a scrap of Meadering Meadow Designer Series Paper using dies from Delicate Forest Dies.  These pieces are adhered at the bottom of the card front to add more foliage to the die cut card front.

This is how the card front looks once embellishments are added.  Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots are popped around the card front.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set is stamped on a panel of Basic White cardstock in Shaded Spruce ink.  A tree image from Stampin’ Up! Delicate Forest stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce and Pecan Pie ink.  A strip of Meadering Meadow Designer Series Paper is fussy cut to give the appearance that the tree is on a hill.  It is adhered to the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Another panel of Meadering Meadow Designer Series Paper is adhered to the right inside panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope get a panel of Meadering Meadow Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.
