Stampin’ Up! Bottled Happiness Sending A Little Message

Stampin’ Up! Bottled Happiness Sending A Little Message

Hopefully, you have not received this post too many times as I had a problem with my site, but thanks to Geek Squad it is repaired.  This was supposed to be my Friday Fun Fold, but since my computer decided to be ill, it is a Saturday Fun Fold.

The card I am sharing today is a Fun Fold.  It could be said it is a box turned into a card.  Karen Ksenzakovic, a teammate did a Facebook Live on Wednesday showing how to create this card. She was posting it to her blog on Friday, well the sometimes impatient person that I can be could not wait until she posted so I went hunting on YouTube for one.  I found Karen Titus. Between the two of their creations and instructions here is my card.  I will not try to give instructions as Karen K said it is easier to see the video, so if you are interested click on their name and it will take you to their blogs.

This is my card when it is closed.  I used the new Splendid Day DSP as the base for creating my card.  I like this DSP with its little Lady Bugs. I used a panel of Sun Prints DSP to create the mat for each panel.  Since the DSP is thinner than card stock, I thought this would give a bit more stability.  The belly band is also a strip cut from another panel of the Sun Prints DSP.  The wreath is cropped from a panel of Basic White card stock using a die from the Natural Prints Dies.

The bottles are stamped on Vellum using Early Espresso, Starry Night, and Parakeet Party inks.  I then fussy cut and popped in the center of the wreath on the belly band.  I stamped the greeting in Starry Night ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and fussy cut it also, then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is how the card looks when it is opened.

This shows the back of the card.  See how beautiful this DSP is.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of the Splendid Day DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail

Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail

U

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set and the coordinating punch.  Again, I have made my SSP (Shirley’s Special Paper) only this time it is on different card stock and ink.

The challenge I am entering today is the As You See It Challenge — their theme for this challenge is They Call It the Blues.  I believe my card will go very well with this.

I started with a Night of Navy card stock card base.  Next, I added a panel of Basic White that becomes the mat for the background panel that is my special paper.  I used a panel of Balmy Blue card stock along with Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Versa Mark ink to create my design.

On a Basic White card stock panel, I stamped in Night of Navy ink, the greeting and birds from Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set.  On another panel of the card stock, I stamped in Night of Navy ink the sails for the boat, I stamped the boat in Pacific Point ink.  I used the Sailboat Builder Punch to punch the sails and boat.  I popped a Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewel by the greeting.

A panel of Basic White gets three strips of various lengths applied to the panel.  It still allows plenty of space for your handwritten message.

A medium Basic White envelope gets colored using Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, and Pacific Point ink.  Four strips of the special card stock I created are applied randomly on the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Wild & Sweet Hang in There

Stampin’ Up! Wild & Sweet Hang in There

The card I am sharing today is created using a new product, available in 2 days, as a demonstrator, we get to pre-order before the catalog is released to customers which is one of the perks of being a demonstrator.  This stamp set is so sweet, like part of the name says.  The little Koloa is so cute, do you not agree?

My card base is my usual Basic White card stock with mats of Cajun Craze and Old Olive card stock.  The background panel is one I created making my own SSP (Shirley’s Specialty Paper).  I used Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, and Mossy Meadow ink to create it.  It makes a great background.

I stamped in Smoky Slate ink an image from the Stampin’ Up! Wild & Sweet stamp set. Stampin’ Blends Markers in Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Crumb cake are used to color the image.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Special Moments stamp set and is stamped in Cajun Craze ink. Rustic Metallic Adhesive Back Dots are popped on the art panel around the image.

The art piece is double matted using Cajun Craze and Old Olive card stock.  A length of Cajun Craze twine is wrapped around this piece and a fake knot is created.  I know this doesn’t look very Cajun Craze in the picture and I can’t explain it. The piece is then popped over the background panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Another panel of the SSP and a strip of Cajun Craze and Old Olive card stock is used as an accent for the background panel.  A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Special Moments stamp set is stamped in Old Olive ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and adhered to the background using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets stamped on the envelope flap with my own special DSP stamp using Old Olive ink.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set and the Hand Penned DSP.  My card is a CAS of Mary Deatherage.

Since this is a fun fold I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge, it is always a fun fold and they are my favorite but don’t always make.

The first thing I did was to score and cut a panel of Soft Succulent card stock.  You can see the diagram above for scoring and cutting.   Put the short side (the 5-1/2″ side) in the Paper Trimmer, I cut the card stock 1-1/2″ from the edge of the card stock, from the first score line down to the third score line.  You need to turn the paper around and do the same on the other side. 1-1/2″ cut on both sides from score line to score line.

You can see in the diagram above how to fold after scoring and cutting.

This is how the card looks out flat to add the mats and DSP. I should have taken a picture before I added the flower piece and greeting.

Here are the card cuts which are usually at the end of the post.  You will need the following.

  • Soft Succulent card stock — this is the card base. Cut 5-12″ x 8-1/2″  — score, cut and fold according to the diagram above.
  • Basic Black card stock
    • mats for the DSP pieces –( cut 2) mats 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″
    • mats for the DSP — (cut 4)  1-1/4″ x 1-7/8″
  • Hand Penned DSP
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 5-1/8″
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 2-1/8″
    • (cut 4) 1-1/8″ x 1-3/4″  I used two different patterns for this as I wanted to add other elements to these panels.
  • Basic White card stock
    • front panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″ I used the next to the largest Scalloped Contour Dies to crop this piece.
    • envelope flat — 2-1/4″ x 6″
  • Highland Heather card stock used to crop the flowers using a die from the Tulip Dies

You can see from the diagram how the mats and DSP are put together and adhered to the card base.

I colored the Scalloped Contour cropped piece using Soft Succulent, Daffodil Delight ink, and a Blending Brush. Stamped grass in Soft Succulent ink.  I stamped a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Highland Heather ink, I stamped again in Soft Succulent ink.  I fussy cut all the pieces and paper pieced to get the flowers the way I wanted.  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhered the flower heads to the stems.   The flower piece is popped on the colored panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Special Moments stamp set is stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die long retired but any die could be used that fits the greeting.  Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped in several spot on the card along with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Thinking of You Today Card

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Thinking of You Today Card

The card I am sharing today again uses the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulip Stamp Set &  Tulip Dies.  Don’t you love this set?  My card is a CAS of Anna Helman’s card.  I had seen her card on Pinterest some time ago and had saved it as one to make.

I am hoping it is ok to post more than one entry.  I believe my other one was a bit, not the colors it should have been.

Since I have a fun fold, I am also entering the Creative Crease Challenge.

My card base is Poppy Parade card stock, with the flap that folds over being the same and is embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  The card base is cut 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.

A panel of  Flowering Fields DSP is adhered to the card front and the embossed flap folds over it.

A panel of the Flowering Fields DSP is matted in Old Olive card stock and adhered to the backside of the flap so it matches the card front when you lift the flap.

This is a close-up of tulips cropped from Cherry Cobbler, Bumble Bee, Calypso Coral, and Poppy Parade card stock.  The edges of the Cherry Cobbler tulip are brushed with Basic White Craft ink to give a bit of dimension. An ink dauber is used to brush the edges of the Bumblee Bee one using Calypso Coral ink, the Calypso Coral One is brushed using Poppy Parade ink, and the Poppy Parade one is also brushed using Poppy Parade ink. The leaves are stamped using one of the leaf stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set using Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock then fussy cut.  They are arranged on the card flap and then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Wink of Stella is flicked on the tulips to give them a bit of sparkle.  A bow is created using Basic White Linen Thread and popped on the tulip leaves & stem.  Brushed Butterflies are scattered around the card art panel.

A panel of Basic White card stock is matted on an Old Olive card stock mat, a strip of the Flowering Fields DSP added down the side.  Two tulips are added to the opposite corner.  A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set is stamped in Old Olive ink.  This panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Flowering Fields DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
