Stampin’ Up! Dainty Flowers — with faith…

Stampin’ Up! Dainty Flowers — with faith…

The card I am sharing today is an easy Faux Step Card.  I used Stampin’ Up! Dainty Daisies Dies and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to create this card.

I am entering Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge. I am choosing the diagonally from left top to right bottom  — flowers, yellow, gems.

I am also entering Creative Creases Challenge as my card is a fun fold and their theme is always a fun fold.

My card base is Garden Green card stock.  You can see from the diagram above how each piece is cut, scored, and folded.  #4 is after the card is put together and the Basic White piece is added for space to sign or write a short note.

This is the panels that are created to add to the step base.  Cut two Basic White pieces 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″, one will be used as a mat for the card front the other will be an art piece on the card back.  Cut two Basic White pieces 1-7/8″ x 3-3/8″. These will be mats for the front and back of the short side of the step.  Next cut pieces of  Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper in these sizes. 2-3/4″ x 4″ and 1-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ cut two. You can see from the picture above how they are adhered to each piece of Garden Green using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I die cut daisies from Basic White card stock using a die from Stampin’ Up! Dainty Flowers Dies. The vine is die cut from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  The daisy centers are die cut from a piece of Early Espresso card stock.  After they are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals the panels are adhered as you can see below.

This is the way the card looks after the two panel are adhered to the Garden Green step.  There are many videos on YouTube for making a faux step card. You can put it in search and find lots of instructional videos.

This is how the back side of the card looks.  The greeting and sentiment are from an old retired stamp set, but I thought so appropriate for this card.  You can use any greeting and sentiment you choose.

You can see from this side view how each panel adheres to the step base.

Basic White Medium Envelope  gets a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay –Thinking Happy Thoughts…

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay –Thinking Happy Thoughts…

I hope everyone is having a sunny day even if it is raining where you are, as it is here in Georgia today.  You can always have a happy day and that will make  sunshine in your heart and give you a happy spirit. Give someone your sunny friendly smile today, it maybe the only smile they see the entire day and it will help brighten their rather dreary day.  Have a blessed day where ever you maybe and do.

The card I am sharing today is from the Jan – April 2023 Mini Catalog and it carries over to the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog coming May 2, 2023.  I have not shared this stamp set very much, so it is good it is carrying over and I will be able to use it until April 30, 2024.

I am entering Tuesday Morning Sketches for this card.  Come join the fun challenges are always fun to do.

I started with a Pool Party card stock card base.  I added a panel of By The Bay Designer Series Paper matted to a panel of Night of Navy card stock.  I adhered this to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a strip of By The Bay Designer Series Paper 1-1/2″ x 5″ matting on Night of Navy card stock.  I adhered this across the card front.

I cut a piece of By the Bay Designer Series for the art piece matting on Night of Navy card stock.  I stamped birds from Stampin’ Up! Lets Set Sail stamp set in the upper right corner using Night of Navy ink.  I adhered this piece to the card front positioning it over the banner.  To this piece I added birds that were either fussy cut from By The Bay Designer Series Paper or stamped in Night of Navy ink using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set.  These birds are popped on the bottom of the art panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Seashells are also fussy cut and popped on the card front. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! On The Farm stamp set is stamped in Night of Navy ink in the left corner.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.  This finishes the card front, now on to creating the inside panel to write a note or sentiment.

A panel of By The Bay Designer Series Paper is matted on Night of Navy card stock after having seashells and a bird stamp across the bottom of the panel.  The shells are stamped in Crumb Cake ink and the bird is stamped in Night of Navy ink. Even with the design on the panel it is light enough to write a message.  This finishes the inside of the card, now on to making sure there is no naked envelope.

Basic White Medium Envelope gets a piece of By The Bay Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds Stamp Set and Birdhouse Dies.  This is a beautiful card.  My card is a CAS of one of my team members Karen Hickam Ilsley

It took me all day to figure out how to create it but I finally was happy on the fourth try of what I created.  There are a few things Karen has that I did not even notice until I looked at her card again when I started to post this.

My card base is Basic White card stock and Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper as the background.  The bird cages are Coastal Cabana card stock.  I used Silver Foil to crop the bird swings, also I used the negative portion of the bird swing as the mirror.  I used a piece of window sheet to adhere the bird cages too.  Flowers from Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper are fussy cut and adhered to the card front.  One of the birds is popped over one bunch of flowers.

The birds are colored using Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide,Crumb Cake, Pale Papaya, and Fresh Freesa Stampin’ Blends Markers. The birds are then cropped and popped on the card front.

I am entering the Tic, Tac Toe Challenge.  I choose Leaves, Fun Fold, and Ink Blending.

This is how the card looks when folded.  This is one of those cards you make for your own pleasure, not give to someone.  I am sure any person receiving it would consider it a real treasure.  I, also, did not put a greeting or sentiment on the card as it isn’t going to anyone.

I prepared no envelope with Designer Series Paper as this card will not be given to anyone.

Celebrate Sunflower

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

The card I am sharing today is a shaker card and is created using Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set, Sunflowers Dies, Brilliant Wings Dies, and Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge for today.  I find inspiration from the sunflower.

I am also entering The Card Concept Challenge.  My card is a combination of Clean and Layed and Mixed Media.  I find inspiration from the butterfly and the yellow flower behind the butterfly plus the muted background for my shaker.

To create this card, I cropped the Big Sunflower from the Sunflower Dies. I cut a piece of window sheet and a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. I embossed a panel of Early Espresso card stock using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I also embossed with the same embossing folder the negative piece left from cropping the sunflower.

Leaves are cropped using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Sunflower Dies, a butterfly is also cropped using a die from Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Wings Dies. The butterfly is colored using Old Olive and Cajun Craze ink and a Blending Brush.  A bow is made using Crumb Cake Twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.

The Early Espresso card stock embossed panel is adhered to the Cajun Craze card stock card base using Multipurpose Glue.  The sunflower is adhered back in the negative piece from cropping the sunflower and the piece of window sheet is adhered to it using Tear & Tape.  Sequins are then placed between the window sheet and the piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and sealed using Tear & Tape.  The piece is then adhered to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The leaves are popped on using Glue Dots.  The twine bow is adhered to the top leaves using a Glue Dot and the Brilliant Wings Butterfly is popped on the bottom leaves using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Rustic Adhesive Backed Dots are popped on the card front.  No greeting is added to the front as I do not know what type card I want it to be.

A sunflower from the September Paper Pumpkin is stamped in the lower corner of the Basic White card stock panel.  It is colored using Crushed Curry and Early Espresso ink and a Blender Pen.  No sentiment is included as I do not know what type of card I want.  It can be a birthday, thinking of you, encouragement, congratulations, or to write a note.

A panel of Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Assortment is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Sending Hugs with A Recipe For Subtle Beauty AYSI

Sending Hugs with A Recipe For Subtle Beauty AYSI

Today I’m sharing my card as Guest Designer for the new challenge over at As you See It  Challenge.  I used Blossoms instead of Boats, Bears, and Balloons for my B.

I am also entering my card with NBUS –  use Never Before Used Schtuff

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Ferns 3D Embossing Folder.  I emboss a separate panel because I have ruined too many card fronts trying to emboss using the entire card. It is so much easier to emboss, then adhere to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I colored flowers from Perfectly Penciled DSP using the Stampin’ Blends in the Subtle Colors.  I found it interesting that I colored the inside flowers with the same Blends yet they are a different color.

After coloring the flowers, I fussy cut and popped over the Subtle 6″ x 6″ DSP panel adhered over the Ferns 3D Embossed panel.  This panel is matted on a piece of Balmy Blue from the same Subtle pack.  I colored several Rhinestone Basic Jewels using the Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends Marker and randomly popped them around the card front. A length of Crumb Cake twine from the Twine Essential Pack is adhered under the flowers on one end of the card.

I colored more flowers for the inside panel.  A panel of Basic White card stock gets a strip of the Subtle 6′ x 6″ DSP applied along the bottom, the flowers are adhered over the strip using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of the Subtle 6″ x 6″ DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.
