Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set. along with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

I am inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge as my design inspiration for today.

I am also entering the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge. Their theme is Christmas.

The card base is Evening Evergreen card stock with a layer of Basic White card stock embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the panel.  The panel is then adhered to the Evening Evergreen card stock base.

Two panels of Basic White card stock are cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  Two panels of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper are cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies also.  The Basic White card stock is the mat for these two pieces of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.  The two panels of Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper are adhered at an angle over the embossed panel of Basic White card stock.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front.  Several Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies and a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A strip of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper is adhered across the bottom of the panel.

Basic White envelope gets a panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I feel like a genius,  I started to post my blog last night and there was a big problem, part of the blog was missing, I worked for a while but decided to resume the process today. It had been so long since I created my blog, that it took me all day to figure out how to find what was missing and get it reactivated. It was such a great day, I clicked on a link when asking how to do things in searh, and guess what — a virus that froze my computer popped up and said if I closed my computer all my content would be destroyed.  I called Geek Squad and in 2 minutes the tech had it repaired.  He even told me what to do if that happened again.  Something very simple that I will be sure to remember.

So I hope your day was much better than the one I had.  Be careful where you click.

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Delivery Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Delivery Christmas Card

My card I am sharing today is a side step card and is created using Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Delivery stamp set and the Santa Train Dies, along with the Santa Express Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Since Addicted to Stamps and More has the theme of Any Occasion, I am entering, as my card is an occasion that comes in December each year.

I am entering the As You See It Challenge.  Their theme is Christmas in July and give your favorite reason. My favorite Christmas in July is making Christmas cards to get ahead of the game since I am so slow.  I love making cards for children, especially fun fold ones, they are always astonished at the cards.

My card base is from a package of Side Step card bases I have had since I became a Stampin’ Up! customer.  I remember those days, I could not cut the card correctly so I purchased a package to make it easier, well you know how that goes, I put them in the cabinet forgot them and in unpacking a box of SU products that has been in storage for the past two years, I found them and thought why not use.  I’ve made side step cards before, but not using these already cut ones, so guess what I found out to my horror when I went to put the pieces together, the pieces I had cut were smaller than the card base so I had to measure and cut again.  In making my regular side step cards, I pull out my diagram and cut. Lesson learned, measure a bought card base before you cut.

I will give measurements for a regular side step at the end of my post.

This is how the card looks when it is opened up more.  As you can see my card base is white.  I have used Real Red and Shaded Spruce card stock as the mats.  I fussy cut the Santa and train car from a panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper.  I thought I would try the Designer Series Paper before I used the stamps to stamp and color Santa and the train card.  I did stamp and color the tree on the train card and the penguins from the Stampin’ Up! Santa Delivery stamp set.  I colored the tree using Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The train track is cropped from a piece of Soft Suede card stock and adhered under the train wheels with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I used a panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper to create a background.  I colored the penguins using a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The penguins are popped around the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give them a bit of dimension.  I cropped trees from  Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green card stock using the Tree Lot Dies.  A greeting from the stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and fussy cut.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Santa Express Designer Series Paper applied to envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This is one of the envelopes that come with the side step kit.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set and the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper, and Holly Berry Dies.

My challenge today is with Never-Before-Used-Schtuff Challenge.     My stamp set is a new one from the Stampin’ Up!  2022 July-December Mini Catalog.

I started with a Shaded Spruce card stock card base.  A panel of Boughs of Holly DSP is matted onto a Basic White card stock mat and adhered to the Shaded Spruce card base.

I cropped from a piece of Basic White card stock a greeting label that has holly leaves as part of the label.  I adhered the Basic White label to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock and fussy cut around the label.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto the label.  Greenery and holly berries are fussy cut from a panel of the Boughs of Holly DSP, these are arranged behind the label along with a length of gold ribbon. It is then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Five Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker.  the jewels are popped around the label.  Three of the jewels are arranged to give the appearance of holly berries.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets fussy cut poinsettias adhered to the top and lower right corner of the panel.   A Merry Christmas from the Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped on the Basic White panel using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Boughs of Holly DSP adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Something to give you a chuckle.  I have had a rough two days, but this “young” person did something that “young” people my age should not do.  Sunday, I made a visit to our storage building and decided I wanted to find my Stampin’ Up! bag with all my SU tools.  It has been missing since July 2021 and  I look for it each time I go to the storage, as I had to buy all new tools when we got moved and could not find it.  It probably would not have been too bad if I had gone to the climate-controlled one but this one is probably 30 degrees hotter than the outside temperature.  Well, I crawled and climbed around in there for 5 hours hunting it.  My DIL found it and I told my grandson “take it down there”. He thought I meant the other storage down the alleyway. It’s hot also.  I come home thinking he has put it in the Suburban only to find out today, that I am going to have to go climbing around in another storage to find it again.  The result of all that climbing and crawling around is I can not move.  My back is so bad.  I know better but sometimes you just have to do what you know is not really a good idea.  To make it worse, I can only have two Tylenol a day, so when do you decide the pain is worse and take your two Tylenol.  I believe the only thing not in pain is my hair and there’s so little of it, that it can’t hurt.  I know you are probably laughing with tears by this time visioning such a “young” person climbing around on boxes to the ceiling. 😅😎😁

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set for the greeting and sentiment, and the Stampin’ Up! Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Alphabet Challenge for this post as this is a Christmas card and their challenge is H for Holidays.

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of the Basic White card stock using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to the Basic White base.  I cut a panel of Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhered it to the embossed panel.  Another sprig of greenery from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink and cropped using a die from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.

A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Scalloped Contour Dies.  Holly Leaves are cropped from Basic White card stock using a die from Stampin’ Up! Holly Berry Dies.  Sprigs of greenery are cropped from Shaded Spruce card stock using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Holly Berry Dies.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a Basic White card stock scrap and cropped using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stylish Shapes Dies.  A Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Marker is used to highlight the edges of the greeting circle.

A length of Real Red Faux Ribbon is tied into a bow.  All the elements are now ready to adhered to the scalloped embossed panel with Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  After all the elements are adhered the bow is popped in the corner of the panel.  Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped around the card front.

Flowers are fussy cut from a panel of the same Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper (DSP) as the one used for the background on the card front. These flowers are adhered to the bottom and top alternate corner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink in the middle of the pane.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set, a die from Scallop Contour Dies, Fern 3D Embossing Folder and DSP from Celebrate Everything DSP.

The inspiration for the design of my card today is from the Freshly Mades Sketches Challenge for this week.

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of Basic White card stock using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. A band of Celebrate Everything DSP is adhered across the embossed panel.

I cropped two panels using a die from the Scalloped Contour Dies, one from Basic White card stock and another from Celebrate Everything DSP.  Greenery from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set and cropped using dies from the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The two poinsettias are left over from last year.  The two scalloped panels are adhered to the embossed panel and across the band of green.

The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a panel of Basic White.  The panel is framed with a  green piece of DSP from Celebrate Everything DSP and the negative piece left from cropping the panel on the front frames the white panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets DSP from Celebrate Everything DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.
