Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Stamp Set.  I also used the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Blends, and a mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks now retired.  I did not have the mask Frenchie used, this is a CAS of her card.

The Seize the Birthday Challenge has a theme of Embossing for this challenge, as I have an embossed background, I am entering this challenge.

The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge has Dawn’s theme of All About Occasions for this challenge and since birthdays are usually a big occasion, I am joining it also.

My card base is Merry Merlot card stock with a Basic White card stock background piece that has been masked using Merry Merlot ink and a Blending Brush. The art piece has the same after the image from Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia is stamped in Merry Merlot ink.  It makes for a beautiful image.

A Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker along with a Calypso Coral and Just Jade Stampin’ Blends is used to color the flowers and leaves.  The Happy Birthday greeting is stamped in Merry Merlot ink at the bottom of the art piece.

Once all the coloring is finished the art piece is matted on a piece of Merry Merlot card stock and popped on the background panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment panel is stamped with the image from the art piece that had been stamped off twice. The sentiment is one of the images from the Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Stamp Set.

A medium Basic White envelope gets the same flower on the card front stamped to the envelope flap and colored in the same colors.

Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days Stamp Set along with the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello Stamp Set for the greeting and Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Stamp Set for the inside sentiment.  The latter two are free Sale-A-Bration items.

Allsorts Challenge has a theme for this challenge of hearts.

Seize the Birthday Challenge is Anything Goes

And the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge — Tristan’s Challenge: All Things Feminine

I started with a Fresh Freesia card stock card base that is stamped with Fresh Freesia ink using the large dahlia image from the Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days Stamp Set as the main stamp along with a little flower and another stamp.

The bird and flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello Stamp Set is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink on a Basic White panel that has been lightly colored using Fresh Freesia ink and a Blending Brush.  The image is then cropped using a heart die from the Stampin’ Up! Heart Collection Dies, long retired, but any large heart would work.  Use what you have.

I colored a length of Glittered Organdy ribbon using a Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Marker.

The ribbon was then adhered behind the heart using Mini Glue Dots.  The heart is then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello Stamp Set and is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock that has been brushed with the Fresh Freesia ink and a Blending Brush.  It is popped on the bottom of the heart.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Stamp Set is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink on a panel of Fresh Freesia card stock and adhered to the inside of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets stamped with an image from the Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days Stamp Set.

Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Birthday Card

My card for today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Stamp Set, along with the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.

Creative Creases Challenge is my challenge for the day.  Their challenges are always fun fold and I love fun fold cards.

This is how the card looks folded flat.  I started with a Soft Succulent card stock base.  It is the regular card cut, but since this is an easel card there is another layer that is almost like a regular card.  It is Evening Evergreen card stock cut 4″ x 10″  scored at 5-1/4″ and 7-5/8″ whereas the card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is how the card looks opened all the way out.  Cut mats from the Soft Succulent card stock for the DSP and adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  You can see the picture above as to how the DSP & mats are adhered.

To create the angels, using Versa Mark ink, I stamped the images on Basic White card stock, sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set using a heat tool.    The angels’ hair is colored using a Daffodile Delight and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The gowns are colored by making a color wash using a Water Painter and Polished Pink ink and Balmy Blue ink.  The headband of the little angel is colored using a Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Their wings are tinted using the Balmy Blue color wash.

This is a side view of how the card looks.  On a  2″ x 3″ piece of Basic White card stock stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Season’s Blessing Stamp Set in Soft Succulent ink.  Crop the greeting using a die from the Ornate Frames Dies, also crop a label from Soft Succulent card stock, adhere the two together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This gives the Basic White label a little frame at the top.  Adhered the angels to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the small angel.  When arranging the greeting label adhere twigs that have been cropped in Silver Foil using a die from the Intricate Leaves Dies.  Pop three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock is matted onto an Evening Evergreen panel and adhered to the card base.  A strip of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP is adhered across the bottom.  This leaves plenty of room for writing a birthday message.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is one we created this past weekend during the OnStage at Home event.  I would have posted yesterday, but my WordPress crashed and had to be repaired.  It is created using the new stamp set that will be available in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog.  The stamp set is called Blessings of Home.  I remade it so I could tweak it a bit, I suppose the one we made was for a beginning stamper.

The first challenge I am joining today is Addicted to Stamps and More — Birthdays

The other one is Seize the Birthday — Anything Goes.

Start with a card base of Garden Green card stock.  I added the Basic White mat as the original had the DSP as the next layer, no mat.

Using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set, the flowers are stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White card stock.  Using a sponge dauber and the Misty Moonlight ink, the flowers are lightly colored, then cropped and popped on the card front placing the Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top and bottom (a tip from OnStage at Home) so when the greeting is put on it helps with the bulkiness.

I cropped sprigs using the Flowers of Home Dies from Basic White and Garden Green card stock, I also used a branch die from the Intricate Leaves Dies.  These sprigs and branches were placed around the flowers.  A greeting from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, trimmed, and added to the length of the Jeans ribbon.  Several Pearl Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.  The card we made at OnStage at Home had only the flowers and greeting so you can see I have added a bit to the scene.

A Basic White card stock panel is stamped with more flowers from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A birthday message will be written in the blank space.

A medium white envelope has flowers stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on the envelope flap using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Let’s Celebrate

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Let’s Celebrate

Here is another poinsettia, each has been different.  This one is a request from a friend for a blue poinsettia.  She wanted to know if I could make a blue one, I told her I could make any color poinsettia I chose, I am the card creator. I told her I would search Pinterest to see if anyone had made a blue one and I found one by Tina Shaw.  Again, the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set is the stamp set used.

My inspiration for today is the Just Add Ink Challenge.  The theme is Foil-Glimmer-Shimmer.  I believe my card is all three.

And  Watercooler Wednesday Tristan’s Challenge All About Occasions.  My occasion is birthday.

I started with a Balmy Blue card stock base.  It is the regular card cut, but since this is an easel card there is another layer that is almost like a regular card.  It is Pacific Point card stock cut 4″ x 10″  scored at 5-1/4″ and 7-5/8″ whereas the card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″.

The Pacific Point layer is adhered to the Balmy Blue card stock base.  This creates the easel. See picture above.

I made the DSP layer as I had no snowflake DSP.  I started with a panel of Basic White card stock, stamping snowflakes using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set. I stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled White Embossing Powder, and heat set.  I then used a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink to color the panel. So I have my snowflake DSP. This panel is adhered to the Pacific Point panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is how the card looks when it is stretched open.

To create the poinsettia, using Versa Mark ink, I stamped the images on Basic White card stock, sprinkled White Embossing Powder, and heat set using a heat tool.  Leaves and sprigs were cropped from Basic White, Pacific Point, and Silver card stock. Silver thread is looped on both sides of the poinsettia.  The poinsettia and sprigs are arranged, a picture is taken for reference, and adhered using Glue Dots and Multipurpose Glue.  Pearls Basic Jewels are used to create the center of the poinsettia.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp set and is stamped in Versa Mark on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock, sprinkled with Embossing Powder and heat set. A panel of Pacific Point card stock is fussy cut and used as the mat, the greeting is then popped on the easel panel using Glue Dots.  Holly leaves and sprigs are added to the greeting panel and pears are added to the holly.  A single pearl is popped by the greeting.

The sentiment panel has holly leaves and sprigs added to the corner.  The panel is left blank as requested. She wants to write her own personal birthday message.

A medium Basic White envelope will be used for mailing.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.
