Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lavender — Sending Love & Big Hugs

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lavender — Sending Love & Big Hugs

So happy you have stopped.  I hope you enjoy my blog for today.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set and Dies are part of the Perennial Lavender Suite.  This suite has beautiful Designer Series Paper.  I am using this part of the suite to create the card I am sharing with you today.  The card I have created  is a CAS of one created by Jamie Babarczy of  Stamp It Up With Jaimie

To add the Basic White mat and the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″.  Measure in from left corner 7/8″, cut from the 7/8″ mark down to the right corner, this will create the mat.  For the Designer Series Paper, cut a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper 2-1/8″ x 5-1/8″.  Measure in from left corner 3/4″, cut from the 3/4″ mark down to the right corner.  You can see the photo above to see how they fit.

This is a picture of the card with the belly band off.  I created a belly band to hold the card closed, being a multi-fold they have a tendency to not close as well.  To create the belly band cut a 1-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  A piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper is cut 1-1/4″ x 10-1/4″ and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape band.  Wrap this around the card not too snug so it will slide off the card easily.  Die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, emboss using Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder.  Add a die cut Gorgeous Grape butterfly and three Gorgeous Grape dots from Glossy Dots Assortment the adhere to the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, matting on a Basic White mat, adhered to the second flap of the card.  Die cut the butterflies from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Create a label for the greeting by using a die from Perennial Postage Dies to die cut it from Basic White cardstock.  Stamp the greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink on the Basic White label.  Two stamps from Perennial Postage stamp set are use.  Part of the top greeting is masked leaving the words needed for the greeting.  The other part of the greeting is stamped before the masked portion.  Add Gorgeous Grape dots from Glossy Dots Assortment.

A sentiment from Perennial Postage stamp set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a Basic White cardstock panel.  A butterfly is brushed on the corner using Gorgeous Grape ink and a Blending Brush.  A butter is adhered over the back of the butterfly that shows from the front.  It is colored in Gorgeous Grape and Shaded Spruce ink, using Blending Brushes.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles – Sunshine to Brighten Your Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles – Sunshine to Brighten Your Day!

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set and Dies.  This is such a happy stamp set, it can be used for any occasion easily.

Start with a card base of Granny Apple Green cardstock cut 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″  To this base add a piece of Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper matted on a Basic White card stock mat.

Next, work on the fun fold creation.  To create the fun fold start with a piece of Basic White card stock cut 5-1/4″ x 7-1/4″.  Score this piece at 1-3/8″, 2-1/2″, 4-3/4″ and 5-7/8″.  Burnish well.   Cut two strips Designer Series Paper from the  2022-2024 Designer Series Paper Assortment, adhering on each side of the fun fold using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the flowers in Daffodil Delight and Real Red inks.  Stamp the flower stem with leaves in Parakeet Party ink.  The center of the yellow flower is made using a Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends Marker, the center of the red flower is created using a Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin’ Blends.  Stamp the word Sending in Starry Sky ink.  Use the dies that match each one and die cut. When the word Sending is die cut, 2 extras are also cut and added to the word to give extra depth so dimensionals would not have to be used.

On the inside middle panel of the fun fold stamp a flower in Starry Sky ink with a Daffodil Delight ink center, The flower stem and leaves are stamped in Parakeet Party ink.  Stamp your sentiment under the flower.  The sentiment for this card is stamped on a very narrow piece of Basic White cardstock in Starry Sky ink, then cut to fit the area.  Add a Brushed Brass Butterfly.

Adhere the fun fold to the center of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice.  Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to create the art piece for the card front.  Arrange the flowers,  the word Sending, and the greeting on the Basic White piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the leaves and Stampin’ Dimensionals or  adhesive of choice.  Add two Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card front.  Adhere the art piece to the left panel of the fun fold.  Remember to only. put glue on the left side of the art piece so not to glue your card shut

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of  2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper  Assortment applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora

Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora

I’m using an oldie but good one from the Annual Catalog.  This stamp set makes beautiful flowers. As you can see from the photo above it is Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora stamp set, along with Stripes & Splatters 3 D Embossing Folder, and Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.

This is a fun fold gift card holder. To me it is an unusual gift card holder, but one I wanted to give a try at least once.   My base is Boho Blue card stock.  A piece of Basic White card stock is embossed using the Stripe Embossing Folder from Stripes & Splatters 3 D Embossing Folders.  Flowers and leaves are stamped i Balmy Blue, Boho Blue and Night of Navy  using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Flora stamp set.  The flowers and leaves are arranged over the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper and the embossed piece of Basic White cardstock.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms stamp set is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  It is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Misty Moonlight gems from Tinsel Gems Three Pack are popped around the card front.

Cut a piece of designer series paper 5″ x 11″.  I used a piece of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper, but you can choose to make your card with whatever color of cardstock and designer series paper you choose.  Score this piece of designer series paper at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.   Fold the first fold as a valley, the next as a mountain fold and the third as a valley fold.  You can see the photo above.   To create a gift card holder, on the right corner of the designer series paper  come out 2″ and cut from the 2″ mark to the score line above.  See photo above.  This gives you space for the gift card.  When you adhere the piece to the card base make sure you do not glue the opening when you glue that side of the card.

I adhered the left side piece first, folded the designer series paper, put adhesives around three sides of the piece cut for the gift card holder, then closed the card back over the designer series paper..

The three sentiments are from different stamp sets, the first is from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises, stamp set, the second in the circle is from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set and the last one on the panel of the gift card holder is from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Stamps Flight & Airy

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Stamps Flight & Airy

This card makes you want the soft breeze of Spring with the birds singing and lovely flowers all around instead of the cold, icy weather we are having at this time.  It is truly a breath of Spring.  It is created using Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper , Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder, Scalloped Contours Dies, and Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.

I am joining Sunday Stamps Challenge for this card.

i started with a Basic White card stock base.  To the base I added a panel of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as the adhesive.  I cut two panels of Basic White card stock, one for the mat, the other embossed using Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder. These two pieces are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using a die from Scalloped Contours Dies, I die cut a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and popped on the right side of the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A circle is die cut from a piece of Vellum card stock using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  The circle is popped over the Flight & Airy piece die cut using Scalloped Contours Dies.  A bird and flowers are fussy cut(I love fussy cutting, but not this one it was a pain) from a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper.  Before fussy cutting, I adhered the piece to a piece of Basic White card stock to give it more stability, as Designer Series Paper can be rather flimsy when fussy cut.  This fussy cut piece was adhered over the Vellum cardstock circle using pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A tiny bow is made from Linen Thread and popped on the branch the bird is sitting on.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped in Boho Blue ink on a scrap of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, fussy cut, adhered to a scrap of Boho Blue card stock, then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a bottom border of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper.  Multipurpose Liquid Glue is used to adhere to the panel, then the panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty — A Note to Say Hello

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty — A Note to Say Hello

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set, along with Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder.  I used the masks that go with the stamp set and loved using them.  They make coloring so easy. When I first colored the mask using Blackberry Bliss ink, I thought I had it much too dark, but after sitting for about 5 hours, it was a different color.  You’re probably wondering why I left it for 5 hours, unexpected friends arrived and we had a great visit.  When I got back to the card creating the colors were different.

I  am joining the Sketch Saturday Challenge for this card.

I am also joining Seize the Birthday. Their option is Embossing Wet or Dry.

I started with a Moody Mauve card stock card base.  To the base I added a panel of Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Several pieces of Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is cut in varying lengths and widths from different pattern of the paper.  The pieces are matted on Very Vanilla card stock. The pieces are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  After all the pieces are adhered, the card front is embossed on each side of the card using the Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder.

Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  The masks that come with the stamp set are used to color the flowers in certain areas of the flowers. I used Moody Mauve, Blackberry Bliss, Pool Party, and Pretty Peacock ink and Blending Brushes.  The art piece is matted on a piece of Moody Mauve card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Gems from Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems are popped around the card front.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a Very Vanilla card stock scrap, matted on a scrap of Pretty Peacock card stock and popped on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a bow created using Crumb Cake twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.

A panel of Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set and flowers from Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and adhered to the corner of the panel.

A Very Vanilla medium envelope gets a panel of Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
