Stampin’ Up! Botanical Bliss

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Bliss

Welcome!

At first I thought this stamp set would be a bust, but I am finding  that it is really great and I am really liking the cards made using it.

Since this is a thank you card, I decided to play along with the fun at the CAS ON FRIDAY Challenge.

This is really an easy and simple card.   The base is Whisper White cut 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″.   The Tranquil Tide mat is 4″ x 5-1/4″.  The Whisper White art piece is 3-3/4″ x 5″.  This is the piece that has the die cut from the Botanical Bliss Bundle.  The art piece is adhered to the Tranquil Tide mat with Liquid Glue.   There was 4 Thanks greetings die cut and adhered together to give some dimension. It is adhered with Liquid Glue to the art piece.  My thanks is different than the one listed in the list of products.  It is an old, old die from years past, but wanted you to know that Stampin’ Up! has one that you can purchase.  I could not find my Thank You, so I had to settle for this one as I wanted to use a die cut for the Thanks.

The inside sentiment panel is die cut like the front art piece.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Bella and Friends. The die cut was extended to make a mat for the art piece.  The sentiment piece looks almost as good as the front panel of the card.

Thank you for stopping by today.  My hope is that you found something to encourage or inspire you in your creative endeavors.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used In Creating This Card

Stampin’ Up Basket of Wishes with Pretty Kitty

Stampin’ Up Basket of Wishes with Pretty Kitty

A card for a friend that lives alone and her kitty just went to kitty heaven and she is very sad.

Inspiration for this card comes from TGIF Challenge  tgifc#181.

The card base is Basic Black card stock cut 4-1/4 “ x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”.  The mat is Old Olive cut 5-1/4” x 4” and embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I truly find I use this embossing folder quite often.  It can be used for any occasion.   A 2-1/4” x 3-3/4” small panel was cut from a piece of the All is Bright DSP and adhered to the bottom of the Old Olive panel.

A length of  5/8” Striped Burlap Trim is wrapped around the card where the All is Bright DSP and the Old Olive card stock meet.

A scalloped circle mat for the art piece is cut from a scrap of Merry Little Christmas DSP (retired) using Layering Circle Framelits. You can use any green for this mat.  I just happened to pick up this scrap.    The art piece was stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Memento Black Ink, then cut using the Layering Circle Framelits.

The masking technique was used to stamp the kitty from Pretty Kitty in front of the basket.  First the kitty was stamped on the art panel and also on a piece of Removable Sticker Project Paper (to me it is removable label paper)  to make the mask.  The kitty was cut out and placed over the kitty stamped on the art piece, so when the basket was stamped it would not stamp on the kitty.

Coloring of the art piece was done by using Stampin’ Blends- Mango Medley, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and the Color Lifter.  A Cherry Cobbler Watercolor Pencil was used to color the bow on the kitty.  The Basic Pearl Jewels are colored with Cherry Cobbler and Olive Stampin’ Blends and then adhered to the art piece and the red All is Bright DSP panel.

Some greenery was needed so I cut some leaves and buds from Old Olive and Whisper White card stock (can it be white greenery) Petals and More Thinlits was used to cut the greenery. This was adhered behind the mat for the art piece using Liquid Glue.

The greeting is from a Paper Pumpkin kit, (I save the stamp sets from my Paper Pumpkin) since I like the stamp set Around the Corner, I decided to make my own Around the Corner stamp by cutting the stamp with the greeting in two pieces, that way I could make it Around the Corner.

There is no inside sentiment as a note will be written to my friend letting her know I am thinking of her during the loss of her pet.

Thank you for stopping by today.  My hope is that you found something to encourage or inspire you in your creative endeavors.

You’re Engaged!

You’re Engaged!

This card is for one of my grandson’s fiancee.  I have three grandson, all from the same family, being married within six months of each other. I’ve probably said that before. Bet their dad is happy there is three guys being married instead of three girls.  It would hit the pocketbook a bit heavy.  I do have three cards made but only showing one.

The theme for this card is from the Global Design Project- Fall in Love.  S0 this is my take on Fall in Love

The pink color does not show up well.  It is a pretty card seeing the real thing.

The card base is Smokey Slate 4-1/4” x 11”  scored at 5-1/2.

The Basic Black mat 4” x 5-1/4” is adhered with Liquid Glue.

The art panel is Petal Promenade 3-3/4” x 5” embossed with Versa Mark and White Embossing Powder. The stamp set is Little Twinkle and Going Global (retired) They go well together.

The art panel is Petal Promenade 3-3/4” x 5” embossed with Versa Mark and White Embossing Powder using the stamp set Little Twinkle and Going Global (retired) They go well together. This is popped on the Basic Black mat 4″ x 5-1/4″ with Stampin’ Dimensionals after a length of 3/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the panel. A bow is made from the 3/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and attached with a Glue Dot.

These hearts were in a stash box so it must have been some time ago that they were cut.  Sure would love to find the framelits die set.   The diamond and the hearts are covered with Dazzling Diamond Glitter.  The diamond and hearts had Liquid Glue brushed all over them and then Dazzling Diamond Glitter was sprinkled over the glue.  Three additional hearts and diamonds were cut and glued to the original Dazzling Diamond elements to give them height without having to use dimensionals.  The other two cards have hearts that are cut from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

I was looking for something else and come across these two hearts. I had been wanting to make cards for my grandsons’ fiancees, but no design would come to mind.  They are what brought to mind the card I had seen that Su Mohr had created.  I thought I was recalling how she made it,  but guess my recall is not what it used to be.  You can see her beautiful card here.  The envelope flap is covered with a piece of  DSP from the Petal Promenade DSP.

The inside sentiment is one I printed from a quote I found some place.   The heart from the Little Twinkle stamp set is stamped over the sentiment.

Here are two of the cards.  Same piece of DSP but different sections.

Thanks for stopping by.  My wish is that you found encouragement and inspiration for your creations.  Return often.

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop-Give Thanks

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop-Give Thanks

Welcome!  Here it is the second Tuesday of October and you know what happens on the second Tuesday of each month.  Our team gets together, and we have a team blog hop.  We have some new members joining us this month and that is so great, makes for more beautiful cards to view created by the talented ladies on our team.

The card today is created using several stamp sets, Colorful Seasons stamp set and dies, Pleasant Pheasants, Happy Scenes a really retired Stampin Up set and the Woodlands Embossing Folder along with the Merry Christmas Dies.  The card base is Early Expresso with a Pumpkin Pie mat. The main Crumb Cake mat is embossed using the Woodlands Embossing Folder.  A pumpkin was stamped on the folder before embossing.

Though this is our monthly Team  Blog Hop, I am entering the card in the Paper Players PP413 Challenge for this week.

The leaves are cut using the Framelits Dies from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper.  One leaf is stamped and then die cut.  The bow is a Mary Deatherage bow.  She is the one who showed us how to make it.  The bow is adhered to the bunch of leaves with a Glue Dot.

The Pumpkin is colored using Pumpkin Pie  and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  The greeting  is stamped in Pumpkin Pie on a scrap of So Saffron and then cut using the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies.  It is popped on the Woodlands panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A Faceted Dot is attached to the corner of the greeting label.

The inside sentiment is from Pleasant Pheasants stamp set. It is stamped in Pumpkin Pie on a panel of Whisper White and to give the inside panel art work, a scene from the stamp set Happy Scenes was stamped at the bottom of the sentiment panel. Watercolor pencils were used to color the scene.

Thanks for stopping by.  My wish is that you found encouragement and inspiration for your creations.  Return often.

Thanks A Bunch

Thanks A Bunch

Welcome, I hurriedly made this card because I wanted to enter the  Paper Players  Challenge  and it ends soon.  I did leaves, ribbon and die-cut. Because of life happening I did not get to enter sooner.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie with mats of Early Expresso and So Saffron.  The art piece with the leaves is Crumb Cake.  This is a take on a card Mary Deatherage did.   I used the  framelits from the Colorful Season stamp bundle to cut the leaves.  They are cut in various colors with the one the adhered to being from the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper.

The greeting is from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  The inside sentiment is from the Basket of Wishes stamp set.

The bow is made using Linen Thread.

Thanks for stopping by.  My wish is that you found encouragement and inspiration for your creations.  Return often.
