You’re Engaged!

You’re Engaged!

This card is for one of my grandson’s fiancee.  I have three grandson, all from the same family, being married within six months of each other. I’ve probably said that before. Bet their dad is happy there is three guys being married instead of three girls.  It would hit the pocketbook a bit heavy.  I do have three cards made but only showing one.

The theme for this card is from the Global Design Project- Fall in Love.  S0 this is my take on Fall in Love

The pink color does not show up well.  It is a pretty card seeing the real thing.

The card base is Smokey Slate 4-1/4” x 11”  scored at 5-1/2.

The Basic Black mat 4” x 5-1/4” is adhered with Liquid Glue.

The art panel is Petal Promenade 3-3/4” x 5” embossed with Versa Mark and White Embossing Powder. The stamp set is Little Twinkle and Going Global (retired) They go well together.

The art panel is Petal Promenade 3-3/4” x 5” embossed with Versa Mark and White Embossing Powder using the stamp set Little Twinkle and Going Global (retired) They go well together. This is popped on the Basic Black mat 4″ x 5-1/4″ with Stampin’ Dimensionals after a length of 3/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the panel. A bow is made from the 3/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and attached with a Glue Dot.

These hearts were in a stash box so it must have been some time ago that they were cut.  Sure would love to find the framelits die set.   The diamond and the hearts are covered with Dazzling Diamond Glitter.  The diamond and hearts had Liquid Glue brushed all over them and then Dazzling Diamond Glitter was sprinkled over the glue.  Three additional hearts and diamonds were cut and glued to the original Dazzling Diamond elements to give them height without having to use dimensionals.  The other two cards have hearts that are cut from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

I was looking for something else and come across these two hearts. I had been wanting to make cards for my grandsons’ fiancees, but no design would come to mind.  They are what brought to mind the card I had seen that Su Mohr had created.  I thought I was recalling how she made it,  but guess my recall is not what it used to be.  You can see her beautiful card here.  The envelope flap is covered with a piece of  DSP from the Petal Promenade DSP.

The inside sentiment is one I printed from a quote I found some place.   The heart from the Little Twinkle stamp set is stamped over the sentiment.

Here are two of the cards.  Same piece of DSP but different sections.

Thanks for stopping by.  My wish is that you found encouragement and inspiration for your creations.  Return often.
