Climbing Rose
Hope you have had a grand Sunday in spite of the yucky weather.
My inspirations for today’s card comes from Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week.
And Watercooler Wednesday for the Occasion for my card.

Instructions for the card are as follows:
- The card base is Old Olive 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2”
- Mat for the art panel is Flirty Flamingo 4” x 5-1/4” adhered to the card base with Liquid Glue.
- Art panel Whisper White 3-3/4” x 5” embossed with the Subtle TIEF. Before embossing stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink using a stamp from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set. Much easier to stamp before embossing. If you stamp after embossing it doesn’t look smooth and clean.

- Cut trellis for butterflies from Whisper White card stock using a die from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies, coordinates with the Climbing Roses stamp set.
- Adhere trellis to art panel using Liquid Glue.
- Fussy cut butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP
- Stamp the rose corner piece using the Climbing Roses stamp set and Memento Black Ink. This is a nice bunch of roses to color.

- Color the roses using Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive Stamping Blends. I think the Flirty Flamingo looks more like Blushing Bride than Flirty Flamingo.
- Run the roses through the Big Shot using the coordinating die from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies.
- Adhere to the corner of the embossed Whisper White art panel using Liquid Glue.

- Everything that needs adhering to the art panel is now finished, so adhere it to the Flirty Flamingo mat that has been adhered to the Old Olive base. That’s it for the card front.

- Stamp the Happy Birthday from the Better Together stamp set on a panel of Whisper White and adhere to the inside card base.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you like my card and that you find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.
Card cuts are at the top of the post today.

Happy cold Saturday! Hope you have had a fantastic day in spite of the cold. I spent my day at a ballet performance for my granddaughter. She had one of the lead parts and I almost missed it. Simply forgot it until my son called, “Mom you do remember today is Hannah’s performance.” I would have been a bad Gran if that had happened. I was off making cards, so had to rush to get there.
The doily is cut and the inside white space is stamped with the greeting and then placed back in the center of the doily it was taken from. All the layers are adhered using Liquid Glue. A bow is made using Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine. Three Glitter Enamel Dots in various sizes are adhered to the Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo striped panel, two are placed on the doily. That’s the front finished.

The card base is Highland Heather. A Basic Black mat is cut and a panel of Thick Whisper White is adhered to the Basic Black using Liquid Glue after running it through the Big Shot to emboss using the Subtles TIEF. These two are then adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

It is amazing what you can make with scraps. Thank you
The little piece of grill looking texture behind the hummingbird is from the Hummingbird Framelites Dies and is adhered using Liquid Glue. The greeting is stamped in Balmy Blue on a scrap of Balmy card stock, Old Olive and White Twine is wrapped around the greeting piece a few time and tied in a bow then popped on the background piece using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three sequins have been adhered under the greeting. The Humming Along hummingbird (don’t you just love that bird) is then popped over the greeting panel. Several sequins are scattered over the background piece.
The inside sentiment from the Seasoned with Kindness stamp set is stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a panel of Whisper White that has a Balmy Blue watercolor wash in the center.

I then used a stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set to give a little texture to the background the rose would be popped on. The rose was stamped using Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Thick card stock. I then colored the rose using Stampin’ Write Marker in Real Red and Pear Pizzazz. It was then fussy cut.
The rose was then popped onto the Whisper White panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Petal Palette stamp set and is stamped at the bottom in Real Red ink below the Graceful Garden rose. Three Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were popped on the card at the top and the bottom.
A small rose from the Graceful Garden stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink in the lower right corner of the sentiment panel. It is then colored using Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers. It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
