Krafty Chicks Challenge #708

Krafty Chicks Challenge #708

Krafty Chicks Challenge #708 —  CAS — Clean and Simple  — Diane

I have the honor of being the Guest Chick for Krafty Chicks Challenge for the month of March.   This is week  three and the theme as you can see above is CAS (Clean & Simple).  We so happy you are joining us this week.

My card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set, along with two other Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, Beach Day and Lazy Days.  I really like the sentiment from these two stamp sets that is the reason I have used them so much recently.  I also, used the Splatters 3D Embossing Folder.

My card base is Basic White cardstock with a panel of the same cardstock embossed using  the Splatters 3D Embossing Folder from Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders.  A smaller piece of Basic White cardstock is cut and the right side corners are embossed using the same embossing folder.  This piece is laid on the bigger embossed piece and brushed with a Blender Brush that has been swiped through Bubble Bath ink.  The butterfly is also brushed a bit on the wings with the Blender Brush and Bubble Bath ink.

A flower image from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set is stamped in Memento Black Ink on the smaller of the embossed panels.  The flowers are colored using Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  A greeting from  stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock , then die cut using a die from Meadow Dies.  The greeting is popped across the bottom of the flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three sequins from Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins are popped around the card front and on the butterfly.  The butterfly is adhered with a glue dot just at the edge of the flower piece.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set is stamped on a panel of Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink.  A flower like the one on the card front is stamped on the right side of the panel and colored using Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.

A Basic White envelope gets the same image as the card front stamped  to the envelope flap and the corner of the envelope front and colored.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Congratulations

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Congratulations

I am sharing a beautiful card today created using more than one stamp set.  I used Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set for the main focus of the card.  Stampin’ Up! Scenic Wonders, So Sincere, and Something Fancy stamp sets are use for the greeting and sentiment.  Quiet Meadow will probably be retired when the new annual catalog comes out along with the other three sets.

I am entering the Sketch Saturday Challenge for this card. Their theme this challenge is to choose a design from past sketches so  I chose Sketch #649.  This is a sketch design that I am saving for future cards.   I looked through the designs three times, saving designs I liked to my challenge folder for future use.

The card base is Basic White card stock with a piece of the same embossed using the Splatters die from Stripes & Splatters 3 D Embossing Folders.  The piece behind the art piece is embossed with the same as is the corner of the art piece.  I believe the gold mats make the Basic White pieces popped out.

The three embossed pieces has Balmy Blue ink brushed on using a Blending Brush  The two smaller pieces of Basic White card stock are matted on pieces of Distressed Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The background piece is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The larger of the two small pieces is adhered over the background piece.  The art piece is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals as you can see from the photo above.  A butterfly from my stash of butterflies is popped on the card front also.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Something Fancy stamp set is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a piece of Basic White card stock, matted on a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty Design Series Paper.  Tinsel Gems are popped around ‘the card front.  One of the Gems is also popped on the butterfly’s head.

A panel of Basic White card stock is stamped in Smoky Slate ink with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! So Sincere stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Scenic Wonders stamp set.  Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set are stamped in Smoky Slate ink, then colored using Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set stamped on the envelope flap in Smoky Slate then colored using Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements — Thinking of You!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements — Thinking of You!

Happy weekend everyone.  It is your last weekend of July.  School starts in many places on Monday.  Can you believe it is that time of year again?  Since we are at the last weekend in July that means Stampin’ Up! Bonus Days end on Monday, so if you want a few extra bucks to spend on products, do your ordering before the Monday deadline.

I’m sharing another card created using Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangement stamp set.  Also, again Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set for the greeting.  Seems I am always creating Thinking of You cards.  To me, you can use a Thinking of You card for any occasion.

My card design is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for this week.

My base is Pretty Peacock card stock with a Lost Lagoon card stock mat for the Basic White card stock panel embossed with one of the embossing folder from Basics 3 D Embossing Folders.  It is partnered with a panel of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper to create the background for the flowers.

I stamped flowers and foliage from Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements stamp set in Memento Black Ink on Basic White card stock.  I colored them using Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Sequins from Adhesive Backed Sequin Trio are popped around the card front. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set is stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and die cut using a retired die.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Everlasting Beauty stamp set is stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A piece of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper is adhered to the bottom of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A flower from Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements stamp set is stamped  above the  Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper in Memento Black ink and colored using Bubble Bath and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Basic White envelope gets a panel of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Have a blessed day!

This is how the card looks closed.

This is an overhead view of the card.

Sentiments from Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set are stamped in Berry Burst ink on the inside of the two little cards.  They are then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow — Thinking of You

Monochromatic — creating a card using only one color of ink, cardstock, and Designer Series Paper that’s what my card that I am sharing  today is.  I can’t remember having made one before, but then you know memory can fail.  This is not my usual cards, you know me, I like lots of colors.  Although this card did turn out ok.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set — and you know me, I usually use two or three stamp sets in creating a card so I will say Yeah! me, I did it with one.

I started with a Pretty Peacock card stock card base.  I added the following layers, a Basic White panel that becomes the mat for the background panel of Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.  These layers are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then to the card base.

I stamped the main flower and the script stamp from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  This piece is then matted on a Pretty Peacock card stock mat, then onto a Basic White card stock mat.  All the pieces are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The art piece is then adhered to the Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper backgound using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a piece of Basic White card stock then die cut using a die from Meadow Dies.  The greeting is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Pretty Peacock sequins from Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped around the card front.

The main flower from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  The script stamp from the same stamp set is used to stamp the script around the flower just as on the card front.  It is stamped off once so the ink will not be so dark.  The panel is then matted on a Pretty Peacock card stock piece and then onto a Basic White card stock piece.  The three pieces are adhered together using Mulipurpose Liquid Glue  and then adhered to the card base using the same.

Two flowers are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on the Basic White envelope flap along with script that has been stamped off once or twice.
