Stampin’ Up! Sweet Springtime

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Springtime

The card I am sharing today is created using the stamp set that come with the February 2024 Paper Pumpkin, called Sweet Springtime.  I also used the crosshatch 3D embossing folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders.  The inside sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set.

The card base is Granny Apple Green cardstock. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to adhere the blue piece at the top of the card from Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper and the Granny Apple cardstock piece die cut using a die from Basic Border Dies.  The Granny Apple Green piece is embossed using the crosshatch embossing folder from Basic 3D Embossing Folders.  The two pieces are adhered to the Basic White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   I cut some clouds, I sure hope they look like clouds and adhered in the sky.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set is stamped on one of the clouds in Wild Wheat ink.

A frame from the February 2024 Paper Pumpkin Sweet Springtime is adhered over the top of the sky and grass pieces.  Two bunnies from the Paper Pumpkin Sweet Springtime stamp set is stamped in Wild Wheat ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock.  They are fussy cut and popped on the card front under the greenery.  Daffodils are also stamped and colored using Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.  The daffodils are popped around the bunnies.

This is how the card looks when it is opened into an easel.  I stamped the chick image from the February 2024 Paper Pumpkin Sweet Springtime three times in Wild Wheat ink along with two daffodils.  I colored these using Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.  The are popped around the bottom section of the Granny Apple Green embossed panel.  The middle chick is the stop for the easel.  Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds and Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped around the card front.

When you open the easel all the way, you can see the sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set stamped in Wild Wheat ink.  A bunch of daffodils are also added to the left corner.  A Brushed Brass Butterfly is added to the corner of the sentiment.

A Basic White envelope gets the negative piece left when the Granny Apple Green piece was die cut.  It is adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty

Happy  rainy Thursday everyone.  Good day to stay in curl up and read a good book.  I re-reading Ted Dekker’s Trilogy Books, don’t know why he calls them that when there are four; Black, Red, White, Green.  If you love mystery and time travel, you will love these.  He has written many books an in many of them he will refer back to the character in this book about something.  What good books are you reading?

My card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set, and Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.

These are my challenges for this card:

Allsorts Challenge

Beautiful Blossoms

i started with a Basic Black card stock card base, adding a Very Vanilla cardstock layer, then a Basic Black cardstock layer, and lastly, another layer of Very Vanilla cardstock die cut using the largest die from Perennial Postage Dies.

I stamped the flowers from Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set in Memento Black ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Using the masks that come with the stamp set if you order the bundle, I colored the flowers using Bubble Bath and Berry Burst ink pads and Blending Brushes. To color the flowers I used Shaded Spruce ink and a Blending Brush.  After coloring, I used the matching die from Perennial Postage Dies to die cut the flowers.  I, also, die cut a few extra leaves from Shaded Spruce cardstock.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted on a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  The flowers are arranged on the Very Vanilla panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several sequins from Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped around the card front along with gems from Tinsel Gems Four Pack.  The greeting is popped over the flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals with a Linen bow made using Linen Thread is behind the  greeting.  The additional die cut leaves are placed around the flowers adhering with glue.

The inside sentiment panel  has the same flowers as the card front and envelope flap, stamped in Bubble Bath ink.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink over the middle of the flowers.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets the same flowers as the card front but they are not colored only stamped in Bubble Bath ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lavender — Sending Love & Big Hugs

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lavender — Sending Love & Big Hugs

So happy you have stopped.  I hope you enjoy my blog for today.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set and Dies are part of the Perennial Lavender Suite.  This suite has beautiful Designer Series Paper.  I am using this part of the suite to create the card I am sharing with you today.  The card I have created  is a CAS of one created by Jamie Babarczy of  Stamp It Up With Jaimie

To add the Basic White mat and the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″.  Measure in from left corner 7/8″, cut from the 7/8″ mark down to the right corner, this will create the mat.  For the Designer Series Paper, cut a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper 2-1/8″ x 5-1/8″.  Measure in from left corner 3/4″, cut from the 3/4″ mark down to the right corner.  You can see the photo above to see how they fit.

This is a picture of the card with the belly band off.  I created a belly band to hold the card closed, being a multi-fold they have a tendency to not close as well.  To create the belly band cut a 1-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  A piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper is cut 1-1/4″ x 10-1/4″ and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape band.  Wrap this around the card not too snug so it will slide off the card easily.  Die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, emboss using Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder.  Add a die cut Gorgeous Grape butterfly and three Gorgeous Grape dots from Glossy Dots Assortment the adhere to the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, matting on a Basic White mat, adhered to the second flap of the card.  Die cut the butterflies from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Create a label for the greeting by using a die from Perennial Postage Dies to die cut it from Basic White cardstock.  Stamp the greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink on the Basic White label.  Two stamps from Perennial Postage stamp set are use.  Part of the top greeting is masked leaving the words needed for the greeting.  The other part of the greeting is stamped before the masked portion.  Add Gorgeous Grape dots from Glossy Dots Assortment.

A sentiment from Perennial Postage stamp set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a Basic White cardstock panel.  A butterfly is brushed on the corner using Gorgeous Grape ink and a Blending Brush.  A butter is adhered over the back of the butterfly that shows from the front.  It is colored in Gorgeous Grape and Shaded Spruce ink, using Blending Brushes.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
