Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly

I am again using Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to create the card I am sharing today. I love this Designer Series Paper and have used it often and will continue using to create cards as it will be retired come January 2023.  I also used the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder, a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set.

As I am inspired by the Sunday Stamps Challenge card design, I am entering the challenge.

I started with a Basic White card base and embossed a panel of the same using the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  After embossing I adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I fussy cut poinsettias from a panel of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and adhered to the embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Sprigs of gold and white are tucked under the poinsettias.  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped over the buds on the Basic White sprigs.

A sentiment from a retired stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of Basic White card stock that has been cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  A fussy-cut poinsettia is adhered in the corner of the panel. The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace with Boughs of Holly and Very Best Occasions

Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace with Boughs of Holly and Very Best Occasions

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace, Peaceful Deer, and Very Best Occasions stamp sets along with the Wintery 3D Embossing Folder.I am entering the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for today’s card.I am also entering The Paper Funday Challenge.

I started with a Basic White card base to this I added a layer of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.  Over this piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper, I adhered a different pattern of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper over the Shaded Spruce piece.

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock and embossed it using the Wintery 3D Embossing Folder.  I added a Shaded Spruce border which is a pattern from the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.  I adhered this over the poinsettia piece.

I cut a 1-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper, a different pattern than the ones I had already used. I adhered it at the bottom of the embossed panel.  I gave it a little border using a Shaded Spruce piece from Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper. I fussy cut a poinsettia from a panel of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and popped it over the embossed panel.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer stamp set is stamped in Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, flagged on the end and the corner is tucked under the poinsettia using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional on the flagged end.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Real Red on a panel of Basic White card stock.  The panel is matted to match the card front.  It is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions stamp set stamped in Real Red ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge — their theme this week is All Occasions.

This is a Faux Step Fold Card.  It is much easier to make than a regular step card.  I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Real Red card stock.  I scored the piece at 1′, 2″, and 6-1/2″. The 1″ score line is a mountain fold, the 2″ score line is a valley, and the 6-1/2″ score line is a mountain fold.  This creates the step that the next piece will be adhered to.  I cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock 2-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3″.  I embossed this piece using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder

I cut a piece of Early Espresso card stock 2″ x 5-1/4″ and embossed it using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut a 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of a card base from a leftover Paper Pumpkin.   I cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Real Red card stock embossing it using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  After embossing I cut a 1″ piece from the embossed piece.  This will go on the 1″ step.   I then adhered all the embossed pieces except the 1″ piece to the card bases.  I find it easier to lay the card base out flat when attaching other card stock or designer series paper.  Then, I adhered the Soft Suede card stock piece to the Real Red card stock base adhering the Soft Suede piece to the first step.  The Real Red card stock Brick & Mortar embossed piece adheres over the Soft Suede on the first step.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, then adhered over the 1″ Brick & Mortar embossed piece.

I cropped two wreaths from Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Dies, one from Mossy Meadow card stock, the other from Old Olive card stock. The two wreaths are adhered together using little dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then popped the wreath over the stripped gold piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I popped  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the wreath.  Using the bow die from Stampin’ Up! Country Wreath Dies, I cropped a bow from a small piece of Distress Gold Specialty Paper.  It is popped on the wreath using a Glue Dot.

I stamped Merry Christmas on the flap of my gold-trimmed Basic White envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly stamp set along with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge as their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am also entering the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

Start with a Cherry Cobbler card stock card base, cut 4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″.  Score at 1″ & 2″ on each end.  See diagram above.

Using paper snips, clip from the edge of the score line to the cut you made at the 1/2″ line.  Fold and score each end of the card base.  One will be a mountain fold the other a valley fold.

Cut 2 pieces 3″ x 3-1/8″. Score at 1″ and 2″   Fold this as mountain and valley.  This is the hinge that adheres to the card base on each end that the Designer Series Paper panels fit on.

Lisa Curcio gives a great tutorial video on YouTube for this card.  You can view it for more instructions.

These are the pieces that create the accordion.  These are pieces that are cut for another card. I forgot to take a picture of the pieces cut for this card, but they are the same sizes.

This is how the card looks once all the panels are adhered.  A panel of Evening Evergreen card stock is the mat for the Basic White card stock panel with the Real Red Merry Christmas stamped on it using Real Red ink.

This is the back of the card with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set.  It is stamped in Real Red ink on the Basic White card stock panel.  A poinsettia is fussy cut from a piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and popped on the Basic White card stock square.

A strip of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper is cut to create the belly band.  It is embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The piece is matted on a square of Evening Evergreen card stock. A Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped on the corner of the Basic White square.

The belly band is then slid over the folder card.

This is how the card looks without the belly band.

A panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. I feel like a genius,  I started to post my blog last night and there was a big problem, part of the blog was missing, I worked for a while but decided to resume the process today. It had been so long since I created my blog, that it took me all day to figure out how to find what was missing and get it reactivated. It was such a great day, I clicked on a link when asking how to do things in searh, and guess what — a virus that froze my computer popped up and said if I closed my computer all my content would be destroyed.  I called Geek Squad and in 2 minutes the tech had it repaired.  He even told me what to do if that happened again.  Something very simple that I will be sure to remember.

So I hope your day was much better than the one I had.  Be careful where you click.
