Stampin’ Up! Retired Ornament Keepsake

Stampin’ Up! Retired Ornament Keepsake

The card I am sharing today is a Stampin’ Up! Retired Set.  I am playing in the RetroRubber Challenge and the theme is Christmas.   The stamp set I am using is Stampin’ Up! Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set from 2012.

Ornament Keepsakes Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Ornament Keepsakes Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Stampin’ Up! has a similar set that will be available September 4 when the Holiday Catalog ordering begins.

This is a card Amy Koenders made with that set and I have CAS(E)d it using the Ornament Keepsake set.  The ornaments from the retired set are a bit larger, I believe than the set that will be in the Holiday catalog  Sept. 4.   If you click on Amy’s card, it will take you to her site with this card.  I am a subscriber to Brian King’s blog and wonder of wonders he had this stamp set featured today on his blog, so here is a picture of the stamp set.

My 3 elements for the Retro Rubber Challenge #116 is the top row across  — pattern paper, green, and heat embossing.

I started by embossing a panel of Stampin’ Up! Old Olive card stock with the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder. Next, I adhered the panel to the front of a Stampin’ Up!  Old Olive card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a panel of Stampin’ Up! Noble Peacock Designer Series Paper (DSP) to a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock that was adhered to a panel of  Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel and the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock panel is cut using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The same die was used for both, the Pretty Peacock panel was cut in two pieces and adhered at the top and bottom of the Whisper White panel. Merry Christmas is stamped in Versa Mark and sprinkled with Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder and heat set using the heat tool.  I used the dies that coordinate with the Ornament Keepsake set to cut out the three ornaments from the Stampin’ Up! Noble Peacock DSP.  After popping the ornaments onto the Whisper White panel, it is popped on the card front.  A Stampin’ Up! Designer Element is popped on the center ornament.  Using the leaf die from the Stampin” Up! Botanical Tags Dies, a leaf is cut from a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil Sheets and then adhered to the tops of the ornaments.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock along with two ornaments from the Stampin’ Up! Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set.  It is adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card.  I stamped the envelope flap and the lower right corner of the envelope front with the ornament stamp using Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink and Stampin’ Up! Old Olive ink.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Tea Together

Stampin’ Up! Tea Together

My challenge for today is with Vintage Journey.  A Cup of Tea For Your Art is the challenge.  Dye your card stock, flowers, ribbon using tea,  splash the tea on your paper or leave cup rings.  It is going to be fun.

The card I am sharing is from the Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set.  This was a fun card to make.  Since the challenge is to use tea to dye your paper or ribbon or other elements of your creation, the first thing I did was to cut a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and dye it using tea and a tea bag.  I spread paper towels on the kitchen counter and laid my card stock on it so there would not be such a mess.  I had a cup of tea and wet the card stock with the tea, then dried it using the heat tool.  The process was repeated and this time I rubbed the tea bag over the card stock.  I kept repeating this process until I got the desired color.

I made the edges of the dyed panel ragged by tearing the card stock all around.  I then sponged with Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink.  The card base is  Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock. A Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock mat is cut and the dyed panel is adhered at an angle on it, then a Stampin’ Up! Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the two panels and a bow is tied.

I stamped a panel of Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Stamp and Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink that was stamped off once.  Using this panel I stamped the art image from the Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set and cropped out using the Stampin’ Up! Tea Time Dies.  The teapot and cup popped on the dyed panel using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink. These two panels are then popped on the card base at an angle also.  All the panels and the teapot and cup are embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder before being adhered.

The inside panel is a panel of the Whisper White card stock that I dyed.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on the dyed panel.  This panel and the mat are also placed at an angle on the card base.

In finishing my project I stamped the envelope flap with one of the flower stamps to coordinate the card and envelope and then colored using the Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light and Dark Petal Pink and Light Call Me Clover Pens.

Thank your for stopping by today.  I hope your day has been blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home

Yeah!! I am back!  Makes me happy ’cause it means my computer is well again!   TODAY IS THE BIG DAY!  As a demonstrator, I get to pre-order from the Holiday Catalog and use the discount that Stampin’ Up! gives to demonstrators.  Would you like to join and be a demonstrator and get all the perks Stampin’ Up! offers.  I was a customer for 10 years before I got smart and decided I wanted to save my money by getting the discount, which saves me money to buy more stamps!  If you would like to give it a try click here.

The card I am sharing is from Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Stamp Set.  It is a simple and easy card to create.

I am playing along at the Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge. It has a Nautical Twist.

There is a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock base with a Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock mat for the focal panel that has been cut from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. The Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock circles are cropped out using the  Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies.  The three art images are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on scraps of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Stamp Set.  A length of Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine was doubled and knots tied in it.  The thread was then wrapped around the focal panel and the mat and adhered in the back using tape.

The art images are adhered to the Real Red circle using Liquid Glue and then popped on the focal panel using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White.  Nautical images have been stamped off once and stamped in the upper and lower corner.  I can not remember which stamp set I used for the thinking of you.  It has been a few days since I made this card because of my computer illness I couldn’t post.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card.  I gave the envelope flap a panel of DSP from the Come Sail Away DSP.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a blessed Thursday and happy shopping.

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes with Garden Lane DPS

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes with Garden Lane DPS

Happy, Sunny Sunday!  Have a fun day ’cause you know what tomorrow is–it is the today that was yesterday!

I card I am sharing is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes and Garden Lane DSP.  It is created with the challenge I am playing in today in mind.

My challenge is with the Paper Craft Crew. The challenge is to CAS(E) a card that one of the Design Team Designed.

I am CASing a card from Tina Riddle.  Here is her card or click her card to go to her site.

And here is my card–

Quite a difference would you not say?  Tina is so colorful.  I used panels of DSP from Stampin’ Up! Garden Lane Designer Series Paper to make the focal and the background panels. To make the colors more muted and not a bright green, I used Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Daffodil Delight to color the panel and used an Aqua Painter to spread the color around.

The leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes Bundle are cropped from Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock using one of the dies and adhered to the card front using Liquid Glue.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the lower right corner of the focal panel.

Two of the butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a small panel cut from the Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper.  I had to fussy cut them as I could not find my punch that coordinates with this stamp set.  The butterflies are popped on using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots.

Two 3/4″ strips are cut from the DSP and adhered down each side of the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Old Olive ink.  The branch is part of the branch from the front of the card.  The butterflies like the ones on the card front are stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a small panel of the See A Silhouette DSP.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card.  I gave the envelope flap a panel of DSP from the See A Silhouette DSP.  You can see the difference in the color of the DSP on the flap and the one one the card front that was muted.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a blessed and rested day before your work week starts.

Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride with Waterfront

Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride with Waterfront

The card I am sharing today, makes me think of Cumberland Island and the horses there. Since it is the weekend going to Cumberland would be a nice trip, but then you have to have a reservation for that expedition to Cumberland Island. If you have never visited Cumberland Island it is a great day trip, tho’ some people camp there.  My son stayed a week when he was in college, but day trips are enough for me even for the beauty of Cumberland.  The three horses in the photo look as if they are posing for the camera.  They may be you can walk pretty close to the horses with no problem.

My card is created using the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set.

Photos are courtesy of Trip Adviser

I watched two, three maybe more videos trying to get the mountains to look like mountains, but finally settled on these. They are created by using one of the stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Garden Green ink.  I stamped the trees first using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride Stamp Set and one from the Waterfront Stamp Set.  I then stamped the mountains.

My challenges for today are inspired by two challenges — As You See It Challenge and Cardz 4 Galz Challenge

Using  Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils I colored in the water and the sand. I used a Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen to smooth out the watercolors. All the card layers even the art panel are embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.

The sun is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry ink using the sun stamp from the Waterfront Stamp Set.  The birds are from Stampin’ Up! High Tide Stamp Set and are stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.

My horse is stamped using Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso ink and the horse stamp from the Let It Ride Stamp Set, as this stamp has two horses on it, I had to mask one horse so that it would not show.  I wrapped a length of Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread around the art panel and the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce panel used for the mat. Wishing now I had not or put the thread lower below the horse.  The greeting from Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and one end is snipped into a flag.

The inside sentiment panel is left blank for a note.

In finishing my card creation, I decorated the flap of a Whisper White envelope so it would coordinate with the theme of the card front by stamping the trees from the Let It Ride Stamp Set in Garden Green ink.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful fun weekend at whatever you chose to do.  My hope also is that you find encouragement or inspiration from my card.  Maybe it will inspire you to go check out Cumberland Island.  Do a search in Google for Cumberland Island Georgia.  Have a great day!
