Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower

The card I am sharing today is a shaker card and is created using Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set, Sunflowers Dies, Brilliant Wings Dies, and Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge for today.  I find inspiration from the sunflower.

I am also entering The Card Concept Challenge.  My card is a combination of Clean and Layed and Mixed Media.  I find inspiration from the butterfly and the yellow flower behind the butterfly plus the muted background for my shaker.

To create this card, I cropped the Big Sunflower from the Sunflower Dies. I cut a piece of window sheet and a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. I embossed a panel of Early Espresso card stock using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I also embossed with the same embossing folder the negative piece left from cropping the sunflower.

Leaves are cropped using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Sunflower Dies, a butterfly is also cropped using a die from Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Wings Dies. The butterfly is colored using Old Olive and Cajun Craze ink and a Blending Brush.  A bow is made using Crumb Cake Twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.

The Early Espresso card stock embossed panel is adhered to the Cajun Craze card stock card base using Multipurpose Glue.  The sunflower is adhered back in the negative piece from cropping the sunflower and the piece of window sheet is adhered to it using Tear & Tape.  Sequins are then placed between the window sheet and the piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and sealed using Tear & Tape.  The piece is then adhered to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The leaves are popped on using Glue Dots.  The twine bow is adhered to the top leaves using a Glue Dot and the Brilliant Wings Butterfly is popped on the bottom leaves using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Rustic Adhesive Backed Dots are popped on the card front.  No greeting is added to the front as I do not know what type card I want it to be.

A sunflower from the September Paper Pumpkin is stamped in the lower corner of the Basic White card stock panel.  It is colored using Crushed Curry and Early Espresso ink and a Blender Pen.  No sentiment is included as I do not know what type of card I want.  It can be a birthday, thinking of you, encouragement, congratulations, or to write a note.

A panel of Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Assortment is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree Happy Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree Happy Birthday

The card I am sharing today is a fun fold called a Double Easel Fold.  It is simple to create allowing you to create a fabulous card.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge as it is always a fun fold challenge.

I am entering Sunday Stamps Challenge.  Their theme for this challenge is a color theme.

I am also entering the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I am choosing the left side down and the middle across.  I believe my tree qualifies as wood.

My card base is Early Espresso card stock, the next layer is Crumb Cake card stock.  I centered the Crumb Cake card stock layer over the Early Espresso card stock and adhered with Washi Tape to keep the layers together.  I used the tree die from Stampin’ Up! Aspen Tree Dies, centering it on the Crumb Cake layer. I then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut &  Emboss Machine several times as I was cutting through two layers of card stock.

After cutting, I adhered the Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card stock together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The robin is stamped using Stazon ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  It is colored using Watercolor pencils in Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso.  I colored a piece of Basic White card stock using a Blending Brush and Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze inks.  I then cropped and embossed the leaves.  A piece of Basic White is matted on a piece of Early Espresso card stock, stamped with dots flourish from Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the front of the card. The leaves and robin are popped on the piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A Crumb Cake bow is made using twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stylish Shape Dies.  It is popped across the Aspen trees using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A piece of Early Espresso card stock is adhered to the back of the trees where the greeting is so that the Stampin’ Dimensionals will not stick to the inside of the card.

A panel of Designer Series Paper is cut from Rings of Love Designer Series Paper, colored using a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker, and adhered to the inside panel.  By coloring it gives the appearance of a grove of trees against the sky.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  The panel is then adhered to the back of the card.  It leaves ample room to write a note and sign your name.

This is a side view of the card showing how it folds.

A panel of Rings of Love Designer Series Paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn Happy Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn Happy Birthday

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn stamp set along with the Bouquet Dies and the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

I am entering Seize The Birthday Challenge for today.

I started by adhering a piece of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series paper on a Soft Succulent card stock mat for the card front.  All the other elements of the card will be added before adhering to the Evening Evergreen card stock base.

I stamped the flowers from Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn stamp set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  I then colored them using Sweet Sorbet, Soft Succulent, Granny Apple Green, and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers.

From Distressed Gold Paper, I cropped the large panel of flowers using a die from the Bouquet Dies.  I, also, cropped a circle from the Distressed Gold Paper using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  I cropped a larger circle from Evening Evergreen card stock.  I embossed both these circles using the Quatrefoil Tiles Embossing Folder.  I punched leaves from Pear Pizzazz card stock using a Bough Punch.  The Evening Evergreen and Gold Foil card stock twigs were cropped using a die from a retired die set.

The gold circle is adhered to the Evening Evergreen circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It is then adhered to the Boughs of Holly panel matted on the Evening Evergreen card stock.  The Distressed Gold Flower panel is then adhered over the circle, leaving a portion of the circle showing.  All the flowers and twigs are now arranged over the gold flower piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from my stash of greetings is popped over the middle of the arrangement using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a Basic White card stock panel a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.  A flower from Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink several times across the bottom of the panel.  The flowers are colored using a Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends Marker, the leaves are colored using a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends marker.  The panel is adhered to the Evening Evergreen card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly stamp set along with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge as their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am also entering the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

Start with a Cherry Cobbler card stock card base, cut 4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″.  Score at 1″ & 2″ on each end.  See diagram above.

Using paper snips, clip from the edge of the score line to the cut you made at the 1/2″ line.  Fold and score each end of the card base.  One will be a mountain fold the other a valley fold.

Cut 2 pieces 3″ x 3-1/8″. Score at 1″ and 2″   Fold this as mountain and valley.  This is the hinge that adheres to the card base on each end that the Designer Series Paper panels fit on.

Lisa Curcio gives a great tutorial video on YouTube for this card.  You can view it for more instructions.

These are the pieces that create the accordion.  These are pieces that are cut for another card. I forgot to take a picture of the pieces cut for this card, but they are the same sizes.

This is how the card looks once all the panels are adhered.  A panel of Evening Evergreen card stock is the mat for the Basic White card stock panel with the Real Red Merry Christmas stamped on it using Real Red ink.

This is the back of the card with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set.  It is stamped in Real Red ink on the Basic White card stock panel.  A poinsettia is fussy cut from a piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and popped on the Basic White card stock square.

A strip of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper is cut to create the belly band.  It is embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The piece is matted on a square of Evening Evergreen card stock. A Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped on the corner of the Basic White square.

The belly band is then slid over the folder card.

This is how the card looks without the belly band.

A panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! is also hosting an event online (see the details below) and we’re scheduling our event so that it runs before and after the Stampin’ Up! event!  Most of us will be using one of the three bundles from the Stampin’ Up! event for our projects so you will come away from the day with tons of ideas for those three bundles!

All are welcome to join us!  We’ll be setting up a Facebook page to host the event and we’ll be sharing the link to the page in late September.  Keep an eye out on my Facebook page and blog for more details!  No registration required for our group, just request to join the Facebook page when you see it in late September!  Can’t wait to stamp with you all then!!

FREE VIRTUAL, CRAFT-ALONG EVENT WITH STAMPIN’ UP!

To make the most of this experience, you can order the Cottage Rose Bundle from the 2022–2023 Annual Catalog, the Cottage Wreaths Bundle from the July–December 2022 Mini Catalog, or the Warm Welcome Bundle which you can get early from the January–June 2023 Mini Catalog beginning September 1!!  The bundles aren’t required to attend the event, but if you’d like to make the projects presented, you’ll want to get the bundles!

I feel like a genius,  I started to post my blog last night and there was a big problem, part of the blog was missing, I worked for a while but decided to resume the process today. It had been so long since I created my blog, that it took me all day to figure out how to find what was missing and get it reactivated. It was such a great day, I clicked on a link when asking how to do things in searh, and guess what — a virus that froze my computer popped up and said if I closed my computer all my content would be destroyed.  I called Geek Squad and in 2 minutes the tech had it repaired.  He even told me what to do if that happened again.  Something very simple that I will be sure to remember.

So I hope your day was much better than the one I had.  Be careful where you click.
