Amy’s Inkin’ Krew April Blog Hop
Welcome everyone—it’s that time — the second Tuesday of the month— and that means it is time for our Inkin’ Krew monthly team blog hop. It is going to be exciting to see what all the other team members have created. I know you are going to see lots of ideas and inspiration for your own creations. Our theme for April is “Feminine” we can interpret any way we choose! Now on to the hop! Enjoy!!

I have chosen the Beauty Abounds stamp set for my creation today. I’m hoping it passes the feminine test with the pink and lavender.
One of the challenges for today is the Paper Players as my card has lavender checks.
And… the Sisterhood of Crafters with Celebrate Spring as their challenge. Butterflies are spring.
And last but not least… Fusion Sketch Challenge.

My card is basically Whisper White card stock, as the base is Whisper White and the focal art panel is Whisper White with a border from the Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and a top header from a panel of Highland Heather card stock that has been embossed with the Subtle TIEF.
This looks like an easy card, but for some reason, it was not so with me, I kept having to stamp the image again and could not decide on which butterflies to use. After three tries I had success.

I used the Delicate Lace Edgelits to make a lace border between the Whisper White focal panel and the Gingham Gala lavender panel. The image was stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the Whisper White panel. I colored the flower flourish using Light Highland Heather, Light Balmy Blue, and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends pens. For the butterflies, I used Coastal Cabana ink and Melon Mambo ink. I stamped the Melon Mambo ink off once to give it a softer pink color instead of a bright pink.
The butterflies are popped around the flourish using Mini Stampin Dimensionals that are cut in half as the butterflies are too small for even a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a leftover circle from the March Paper Pumpkin. It too is popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. A bow is made using Whisper White Twine and popped on the flourish with a Glue Dot.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather on a panel of Whisper White card stock and matted on a panel of Highland Heather card stock and then adhered to the Whisper White card base. A butterfly is stamped three times in the corner of the panel without re-inking the stamp.

My card today is from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set. I was reluctant to buy this set only the DSP but a friend gifted this to me and I am so happy she did. It has turned out to be a favorite.

It was a beautiful long weekend in this part of Georgia. Perfect for an outside wedding. One of my grandsons was married on Saturday so the busy time began on Monday and went all week. I know his poor Mom is completely exhausted. She might have been the mother of the groom, but she was sure a busy mom. The newlyweds are off to Hawaii and here we are cleaning up. The wedding was at
The card is created using the Country Livin’ stamp set from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. This is a stamp set that will probably be retired, so I wanted to use it at least once more before it is gone. Colorful Seasons was used for the greeting on the card front. Well Said stamp set and the August 2018 Paper Pumpkin stamp set was used for the inside sentiment. This Paper Pumpkin sentiment is such a great one for a sympathy card.

It turned out quite well making the boots look older. The edges of the panel were torn to give the panel an even older look, the edges were then daubed with Crumb Cake ink. This panel was popped on the embossed Wood panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several sequins from the Sequin Assortment were scattered over the card front. A length of Jute Twine is wrapped around to give the appearance of a rope. It is attached to the card front using Glue Dots. The greeting is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and is stamped in Early Expresso Ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock and then cut with paper snips to create a flag end.
