Incredible Like You
Welcome!
Three days until Christmas! Are you all ready! This person hasn’t bought the first gift! Haven’t had the time. Is that a good excuse? Enough of that on to the card for today. I am using Incredible Like You (available January 3, which isn’t too long), Butterfly Gala (also available January 3) and Bunches of Blossoms from the Annual catalog.

I am playing along at Watercooler Wednesday “Anything Goes“.

The card is started with a Pear Pizzazz card base, then a Whisper White mat that has been embossed using the Pinewood Plank embossing folder, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A panel of Basic Black card stock is cut for the mat to the art piece. The art piece is stamped using Lovely Lipstick and Pear Pizzazz ink.
The flowers are a two step process and from the stamp set Incredible Like You (available January 3), This technique is something I have never tried before. It took me practice and three tries before I finally was able to think this piece was acceptable. As always practice makes perfect, so I must try it again to see the results. You stamp the darkest color first or that is the way I did it and then you stamp the lightest color, stamping off once to make the color lighter. The color is Lovely Lipstick, but to me it looks more like Cherry Cobbler. The art piece is now adhered to the Basic Black mat using Liquid Glue and a length of Pear Pizzazz 3/8″ ribbon is wrapped around the art piece. This is now adhered to the embossed panel using Liquid Glue.
The greeting is stamped in Lovely Lipstick on a scrap of Whisper White, then cropped using the Layering Oval Framelits Dies. It is popped over the ribbon in the lower right corner of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A tiny butterfly is cut using one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set (available January 3). A pearl from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearl pack is glued to the butterfly. A Glue Dot is used to adhere to the card front. Three pearls from the same pack are adhered to the upper right corner.
The inside sentiment is a big Happy Birthday stamped in Lovely Lipstick on a panel of Whisper White.
You can find the products used in creating this card along with the card cuts at the end of this post. Thank you for stopping by, my wish as usual is for you to find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.

- Pear Pizzazz – card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
- Whisper White – Front mat 4″ x 5-1/4″; Inside sentiment panel 5″ x 3-3/4″; Art Piece – 3″ x 4-1/8″
- Basic Black – Mat for art piece – 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″

The card base is Tranquil Tide cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″. The mat is Cajun Craze cut at 5-1/4″ x 4″ adhered to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. All card stock has been embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder. Have I told you before I love this folder, it makes card stock look so much better, not so blah!
The panel for the plaid is Whisper White and Mint Macaron ink has been used to stamp the Buffalo Checks. It took three stamping to get the color of Mint Macaron wanted. A Cajun Craze Stampin Write Marker was used to make the wide stripe across the checks, then the pen end of a Tranquil Tide Stampin’ Write Marker was use to make the narrow stripe. Embossing the plaid panel makes it look like fabric. This turned out making a nice plaid.
Two circles were cut from Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze to frame the Whisper White circle that the Happy Birthday was stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink. Three Faceted Dots in Blackberry Bliss were adhered. The flowers are from the Botanical Blisss stamp set and was stamped in Blackberry Bliss and then Versa Mark and heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder. They were colored using Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron ink and a Blender pen. Twigs cut from Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron, and Tranquil Tide were adhered using Glue Dots.
A Linen Thread bow is attached using a Glue Dot also. I call this my Mary Deatherage bow as she is the one who showed me how to make it. After the circles flowers, twigs and bow were attached to the Mint Macaron plaid panel, it was adhered to the Cajun Craze panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

and the gold dots does not show up in the picture. You can see the shine in the picture below.
