Now on to my card for the day.

The card I am sharing today is from the Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes stamp set. Did not think when making the card that I had used the See A Silhouette DSP yesterday, just realized it when I started typing this–O’ well we shall endure!
The challenge I am entering today is a new one for me that stampin’ friend Karen Finkle introduced it to me. The challenge is to choose a book you like and use as the reference for your card. The challenge is with The Library and as the Librarian is busy we are to choose our own book. My book and a favorite is Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird. I read this to my sons when they were young, then when they went to high school had to read it again on their own–smile. One of my sons has read it so many times, he can recite it.

This was a simple card to make a little masking on the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel that is the art panel. The first thing I did was cut a Whisper White card stock panel for the art piece.
I cut a panel the size of my card front from masking paper. In the center of this panel—well it is not really the center—but I cut a large circle using the largest circle from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Dies. It really didn’t matter which set I used as I just needed a circle.
After cutting the circle, I placed it aside for the moment and placed the negative portion left, over my panel of Whisper White card stock. Using a Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Sponge and Stampin’ Up! So Saffron ink I sponged inside the circle creating a large moon. Finishing with the moon, I pulled the moon mask from the card front and using the circle I had cut out, I placed the circle over the sponged moon.
Using another piece of Stampin’ Sponge and Tuxedo Memento Black ink I sponged back ink over the panel of card stock creating a dark night with a large moon.
Using the branch die from the Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes Bundle, I cropped the tree, to make the tree trunk longer, I did not place my cutting plate over the entire tree branch die, so it would only cut a portion of the tree branch. After cutting the branch with the die, I drew a tree trunk on the Basic Black card stock and fussy cut it—thus extending the tree trunk.
I placed the tree branch on the art panel over the moon so I would know where to stamp my little girl, using the little girl stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes Bundle I stamped the image at the bottom of the panel as if she was standing on the ground. Now that the art panel is finished it can be adhered to the Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock base using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Now that the image is stamped, I can adhere the tree branch using Multipurpose Glue. I stamped the greeting in the lower corner of the art panel again using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock in Tuxedo Memento Black ink using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set

Card Cuts:
- Basic Black card stock — card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored and folded at 5-1/2″; Tree – – 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Whisper White card stock — art panel on front — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″; inside sentiment panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″

For the easel portion, I used a 4″ x 10 1/4″ piece of Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade card stock and scored it at 2-1/2” and at 5”. The first score line (2-1/2”) is folded as a valley and the second one (5”) as a mountain. Burnish both folds well so the card will be easier to lay flat
I cut three pieces of Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhered them to the Poppy Parade card stock easel portion of the card with Liquid Glue.
Using one of the flower stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set, I stamped three flowers in Versa Mark ink on Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Calypso Coral card stock sprinkled Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder on each and heat set with the heat tool. Using the leaf stamp, I did the same on Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock. The two leaves that are Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz are leaves I had in my extras box. The flowers and leaves were popped on the portion of the easel panel that forms the front panel using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I cut two large medallions from Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the medallion die from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Layers Dies. I adhered them together in spots using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then popped it on the card front using Glue Dots. The greeting “Happy Day” from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock, I then fussy cut it out and adhered to the middle of the medallion using Multipurpose Glue.

My card for today is from Stampin’ Up! Path of Petals Stamp Set. It receives a bit of help from Stampin Up! Waterfront Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Stamp Set. To me, this is not my usual card style, design or whatever you want to call it.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Stamp Set is stamped on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock flagged at each end and popped onto a banner created using Stampin’ Up! Soft Seafoam card stock.
The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Path of Petals Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock that is matted on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Happy Labor Day weekend all! Not to happy for the people in Florida prayers and thoughts are with them and all the people caught up in the horrible weather. Maybe it will just turn and blow its self out to sea.

The art panel is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and one of the flower images from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. A circle is then cropped from the panel using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Dies. I realize now that it would have been much easier to color if I had colored and then cut.
I colored the flowers using Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rocco Rose, Smoky Slate and a Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen. It is amazing the color you can create using a Blender Pen. The hearts are cropped using Stampin’ Up! Stitched Label Dies. They are cropped in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride, and Smokey Slate. A small spot was embossed on the card front under the hearts using one of the dies from the Stitched Label Dies.
The greeting stamped on the circle is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. Three pearls from the Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are placed on the circle also. The bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots.
The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The flowers are from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set and are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Flirty Flamingo to get the color of pink I wanted. Once again, I used a Blender Pen to smooth the colors.
