Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet

Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet

Welcome!  Here it is Monday and we have a whole new week ago, so make the most of it.  Time once gone can never be regained!

I found these two fun challenges so I am giving them a try.

The first is Crafty Animals.

And …  2 Crafty Critter Crazies.

Stampin’ Up! Back on  Your Feet is the stamp set used to create this card I am sharing with you today.  It is a cute stamp set with little critters and a pain in the neck giraffe.  My card base is Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grape card stock mat for the art piece.

The art piece is stamped on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using Tuxedo Memento Black ink to stamp the images.  The images are from the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Verdant Garden

The images are colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends  Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Light Daffodil Delight, and Light and Dark Crumb Cake.  The greetings are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather ink and Granny Apple Green ink.

The sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather ink on a panel of Whisper White.  The critters are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored the same as the ones on the card front.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Garden Lane Designer Series Paper added to the envelope flap for the final finishing touches.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday

Welcome!

Inspiration for today’s design comes from the Global Design Project.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock with a panel from Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper used as the background panel.  The art panel, matted using Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock, is Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock and the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Duet Punch is used to punch the butterflies in the panel.  My card is a CAS(E) of one  Tamie Ackerson created. You can see hers here.  I needed a belated birthday card for a good friend that I missed her birthday plus I just remembered tomorrow is my little sister’s birthday and I forgot to mail her a card also.  Wonder where my memory is these days, I think I have brain overload.

The piece has a hole punched to run the Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread through and then adhered to the back of the background panel.  A double loop bow is also made and popped on the panel using a  Glue Dot. Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are popped on the butterflies and one by the greeting.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Two butterflies have been punched in the panel so the DSP will give the butterflies a pattern.

The Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of the Pressed Petals DSP added to the envelope flap for the final finishing touches and two butterflies that have been cut from the DSP to the right corner.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Let It Snow

Stampin’ Up! Let It Snow

Happy, happy cold day in Georgia!  I would not want to be a deer hunter sitting in a tree this cold, cold morning!  Have a great weekend.

My cute card today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Let it Snow  Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, and the Christmas Rose Stamp Set.

Inspiration is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And…  Craftyhazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge –  theme –  anything as long as it includes patterned paper.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock with a panel of Real Red card stock embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. I find it easier to emboss a separate panel the same size as the card instead of trying to emboss the card front.

The art piece is cut from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Snow DSP as is the red stripe mat and the strip at the bottom.  I  added a few things to the art piece, like arms, hair bows for the girl and red buttons.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Christmas Rose Stamp Set and the little snowman on the iceberg is from the Let It Snow DSP.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Let it Snow DSP added to the envelope flap for the final finishing touches.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat

Welcome!  I feel I am so behind, it has taken me almost three days to get one card made, migraines will do that to  you.  Haven’t had one in a while, but I do now.  I know you have been waiting for me to post and tell you I have a migraine.🙂

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat and Itty Bitty Christmas.

The inspiration for the design comes from Tuesday  Morning Sketches.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce card stock with a Stampin’ Up! Seafoam Spray card stock mat for the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Essence DSP.  A Vellum strip is added down the side over the DSP.

Snowflakes are cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Layers Dies then added to the DSP with dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The art piece is stamped on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Stamp Set for the house, Snow Front Stamp Set for the mountains and Merry Moose Stamp Set for the trees  The house was fussy cut once colored with Stampin’ Blends in Light Crumb Cake, Light Smoky Slate, Light Pretty Peacock, and Light Mint Macaron. After coloring a Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Die is used to crop the circle  of the art piece. It is then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The snow on the mountains looks gray in the photo but it is glitter and glue, can’t believe how it looks in a photo.

The sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Perennial Essence DSP added to the envelope flap for the final finishing touches.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love

Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love

Happy Wednesday everyone and Welcome to my blog!

The card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love Stamp Set.  I made this card a one or so ago, but never found a challenge that was suitable for it. So thank you Make My Monday and Alphabet Challenge for having one with poppies as the theme.  I know I saw a version of this card someplace, maybe from a blog post or Pinterest so if you are that person thank you,  but I can not recall your name.  I do remember it was a beautiful card and I wanted to make one like it.

The challenge…  the theme Poppies…

And this one… Alphabet Challenge — P for Poppies or Pumpkins — I chose poppies.

Poppies come in colors other than red!  Did you know that? I wanted to make my poppies purple so I researched to see if there was such a thing as a purple poppy and this is what I found.  Put purple poppies in search and you will be amazed!🙂

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock that is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate ink using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Stamp.  A Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather card stock mat is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.  The art piece is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock stamped using the Crackle Stamp and Crumb Cake ink. Before stamping the Crackle stamp over the panel, the poppies were stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in Light and Dark Highland Heather and Light Old Olive.

Once they were colored a mask was placed over the poppies so the Crackle Stamp could be used and not cover the poppies.  Three hearts were stamped but it has been so long I forget the stamp set, but you can use any stamp set that has a small heart stamp.  Stampin’ Up! Gingham Gala Adhesive Back Sequins are randomly popped over the art piece.  A small double loop bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread and popped on the stem of the flowers.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set is stamped in Highland Heather ink.

The sentiment panel is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather card stock and the sentiment is from Very Versailles and stamped in Highland Heather ink on the panel of Highland Heather card stock.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

 Ink To Be Discontinued Permanently

Stampin’ Up! provided us with an update about Purple Posy Inks.  Despite their efforts to resolve issues with Purple Posy ink, they’ve learned that the ink color is still shifting over time.

All of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive ink colors are run through a vigorous series of tests to get ahead of challenges like this, and to ensure colors are accurate and meet our standards of coordination. Purple Posy DID pass regular testing standards in time-simulating ovens, but they’ve now identified that it fell short when it came to actual time passing. The color begins to shift once the ink has rested in the ink pad for about six weeks.

This means that the color isn’t coordinating with our other colors as strictly as SU! requires.  Due to these ongoing challenges, they’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue Purple Posy classic ink as of November 5, 2019.  The following items will no longer be available to purchase:

  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 150084)
  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (item 150091)
  • 2019–2021 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pad Assortment (item 150087)

All other Purple Posy products (such as Purple Posy Stampin’ Write Marker, Purple Posy Cardstock, Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends, etc.) will remain available for purchase.

So – I know this is disappointing to many of you – but…I am actually pleased that SU! is taking this step.  One of the major draws of Stampin’ Up! products is the color coordination across the different products.  We can count on things matching up as we create!  And if Purple Posy isn’t “matching up” – then….this is the right thing to do!

Already purchased the ink pad a refill?  While Stampin’ Up! can’t replace Purple Posy ink pads for customers who’ve already received them, anyone with concerns regarding the color shifting properties of their Purple Posy ink pads may contact Demonstrator Support and receive a $7.50 coupon code as compensation. The coupon codes will expire on January 1, 2020.
