Beautiful Promenade

Beautiful Promenade

Today’s card is very simple and easy to make and is created using the Beautiful Promenade and Picture Perfect stamp sets.  Thank you Amy Koenders for the gift of the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.

My card design is coming from the Fab Friday Challenge for this week.

My card starts with a Smokey Slate card base. As you can see it is so simple, just the card base with two mats and then the greeting and art panel.

A panel of Blackberry Bliss is cut for the mat for the panel of  Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP).  These are adhered to each other and then to the card base.

I turned the panel of Petal Promenade DSP to the reverse side and cut a panel for the greeting.  The greeting is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink using a stamp from the Picture Perfect stamp set.  Blackberry Bliss card stock is used for the mat for this panel also.

The big flower stamp from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set is used to stamp the flowers in Blackberry Bliss and Flirty Flamingo.  They are cut out using the Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies.  The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow and cut using the leave die from this set.  Three pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls are scattered on the front of this panel.  The flowers are popped onto the panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaves are stuck on the back of the flowers using Glue Dots.  The finished panel is then popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front is finished.

The inside sentiment panel is equally as beautiful and as simple as the front of the card.  Stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink on the Whisper White card stock panel, then select a section of the Beautiful Promenade DSP that has pretty flowers close together so you are able to cut a 2″ panel to adhere opposite the sentiment.  Adhere this finished panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and then adhere to the card base.

Thanks for stopping by today.  My hope is that you find encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.  Have a blessed day!

Dragonfly Dreams

Dragonfly Dreams

Here it is a cold weekend and I thought Spring had sprung, but guess there must be more days of cold.  Have a great weekend anyway!  I really used a lot of stamp sets on the creation of this card.  Hello Cupcake, Beautiful Bouquet, Itty Bitty Greetings stamp sets and the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies.

These are my challenges for the week:

As You See It Challenge #196

Tuesday Morning Sketches

I am excited that my card qualifies for three challenges that rarely happens.

The card starts with a Whisper White card base and a mat of Basic Black card stock for all the different strip of 6″ x 6″ DSP.  You can see the different stacks at the bottom of this post.

The strips are adhered to the Basic Black mat using Liquid Glue, leaving a small border between each strip so you have the effect of a mat around each strip.  Once all the strips are adhered, the Basic Black mat is adhered to the Whisper White card base using Liquid Glue.
The dragonflies from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies  are cut from Basic Black card stock that has an Adhesive Multipurpose Sheet adhered to it for easier adhering.   Four sets were cut twice and adhered together.  Since there are only five I had to cut twice to have enough for the entire card front.  By adhering the four set together it gives them dimension and depth.  By using an Adhesive Multipurpose Sheet it makes it easier to adhere the dragonflies together.  It is much less messy also as using Liquid Glue you get real gluey fingers.Different jewels were adhered to each dragonfly to give them a bit of Bling!  The Happy Birthday is stamped in Soft Suede on a small scrap and then cropped to a small size to fit the space it is adhered.  The card front is finished.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce on a panel of Whisper White that has been matted on a panel of Basic Black card stock.  Two dragonflies are stamped to give the panel a bit of decoration.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card.  Visit again soon.  Have a blessed day!

Beautiful Promenade

Beautiful Promenade

My card today is created using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the coordinating DSP.  It makes for a lovely card.  It is for a strong young woman who had an accident when she was 19 and became paralyzed from the waist down.  She is a very productive, active life and is an encouragement to all who meet her.  She certainly an inspiration when we complain about little day to day ache and pains and say oh I feel too bad to do that today.  She carrys on and works long, long hours each day to see her dream fulfilled.

My sketch inspirations comes from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge for this week.

The card recipe:

  • Start with a panel of Petal Pink card stock for the card base.
  • Cut a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel and emboss using the Subtle Textured Impression Embossing Folder.
  • Cut a 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock and a panel 1-1/8″ x 3-1/8″. These are mats for the Petal Promenade DSP.
  • Cut a 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ panel of Petal Promenade DSP and a  1″ x 3″ panel of the same DSP.
  • Adhered the Petal Promenade DSP to the Blackberry Bliss card stock using Liquid Glue.
  • Cut a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ square from the reverse side of the Petal Promenade DSP that you cut previously.
  • Stamp in the upper corner using Mossy Meadow ink one of the flowers from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.
  • then stamp in Fresh Fig ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock the same flower.
  • Stamp the greeting in the lower left corner using Blackberry Bliss Ink.
  • Fussy cut just the Fresh Fig flower.
  • Pop the flower using Mini Stamping Dimensionals that have been cut in half over the Mossy Green flower in the upper corner of the 2-12″ x 2-1/2″ square.
  • Cut a 2-5/8″ square from the Blackberry Bliss card stock.  This is the mat for the art piece with the flower and the greeting.
  • Pop 2 pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls onto the art piece.
  • Adhere all the panels the way they show in the picture onto the Subtle embossed panel.
  • Adhere the Petal Pink panel to the card base.
  • Scatter three more pearls over the Petal Pink embossed panel after all the other smaller panels have been adhered.
  • The bow is made using Fresh Fig Mini Ruffle ribbon and adhered with a Glue Dot.
  • The inside sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Whisper White that is matted on a panel of  Blackberry Bliss card stock.
  • A different flower from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow in the right corner of the sentiment panel.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you like the card!

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop “Celebrate Spring”

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop “Celebrate Spring”

Welcome everyone—it’s that time —  the second Tuesday of the month—that means it is time for our Inkin’ Krew monthly blog hop.  It is going to be exciting to see what all the other team members have created.  I know you are going to see lots of ideas and inspiration for your own creations.   Our theme for March is “Celebrate Spring”!  Now on to the hop!  Enjoy!!

My card is created with the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set.  Since our theme is “Celebrate Spring” this stamp set is so appropriate being it has daffodils.

The design comes from Inspire Create Challenge #038 for this week.

The card base is Lemon Lime Twist card stock.  Lemon Lime Twist will probably be retired this year so I am trying to use it up before that time.  A panel of Bermuda Bay card stock has been embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and adhered to the card base with Liquid Glue.

The inspirations and design comes from  Inspire Create Challenge

Two mats have been cut for the focal panel which is cut from a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP, one is Lemon Lime Twist, the other Basic Black card stock.  They are all adhered together using Liquid   Glue.

A Whisper White circle is cut using a Layering Circle Die and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The daffodils are stamped on thick Whisper White card stock and colored using Pineapple Punch Light and Old Olive Light Stampin’ Blends. They are then popped onto the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls set are scattered over the card front.  The greeting is stamped in Bermuda Bay on a scrap of Whisper White and matted with a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

Heartfelt with Well Said

Heartfelt with Well Said

Welcome, I get the honor of being a guest designer for WWYS2.  Thank you for dropping by today.   We are using the Well Said stamp bundle.  I am in shock that I could actually come up with a card from a stamp set that is majority greeting and sentiments.  I am thrilled for the challenge and I think the card turned out ok.  Goes to show what you can create with a little imagination.

Of course, you always start with a card base, which I have chosen Pool Party that has been embossed using the Layered Leaves TIEF for mine.  I then took a sponge with Pool Party ink and lightly sponged a few areas of the embossing.  A  3-1/4″ x 4-1/8″ panel of Pear Pizzazz was cut and sponged with Pool Party also.  A panel of Very Vanilla sponged with the Pool Party ink is cut and adhered at an angle over the Pear Pizzazz panel.  Flower stems in Pear Pizzazz and flowers in Rich Razzleberry have been cut using the Well Said stamp set.  These are adhered to the Very Vanilla panel using Liquid Glue in various spots.  The flowers have a pearl from the Basic Pearl Jewels adhered to their center.  The word “Heartfelt” is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink in the upper left corner.  The word “sympathy has been cut using the sympathy die in the Well Written Framelits Dies.  I cut four so the word would have dimension.  I also used an Adhesive Backed Sheet when cutting so that adhering them together would be easier.

Again, thank you for stopping by today.!
